About Me
My name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the owner and operator of The AK Guy Inc, a 07 Firearm Manufacturer based out of Fayetteville, NC. I also co-own Stark Media Group, and designed the rifle known as the AK-50.
I've started to dedicate this RUclips channel above all to have fun, but also as a way to document my entrepreneurial journey for the next few years as I try to grow my companies. Hopefully, people can learn from my example, successes, and failures.
Either way, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, and I hope it's just as fun to follow along!

3:54 As far as I know (from Czech internet sources), the dimples are an additional feature to the original pistol cartridge mandated by its use in submachine guns. Apparently, they encountered this problem in submachine guns that the bullet would get pushed deeper into the casing as it slammed against the feed ramp or barrel face. Which, I assume, caused malfunctions. So they added the dimples to better secure the bullet in place.

I love how Tokarevs don’t even jam that often, because those Soviet firearm manufacturers really wanted to streamline the process of producing deceased political prisoners
I can't say the same about the Chinese TT 54s. I replaced the black star grips with the original Russian grips and it caused it to start jamming somewhat often for whatever reason, even though the grips are basically identical on the inside. I even had the trigger angle up half inside the gun somehow, twice in a row. It hasn't happened since though and I replaced my grips again with the ones I had in the first place. I do love it though, it's a fun little gun.

My God, I am so happy to see that my 7.62x25 is covered here. I was turned on to it in the late 80's while in the military.
Smaller caliber, hot little round. And if your at the wrong end of it, cover is harder to find. The speed of the round lets it punch though.
Lastly on the range I have several shooter ask questions, and yes ask if they can try it.
THANKS FOR COVERING MY FAVORITE HAND GUN.
PS, I have 3, 2 can be changed to 9 mm with a barrel change.
I had a yugo with tons of duty/holster wear. The front of the slide was a little tweaked where it retains the main spring most likely due to the power and slide speed that the 7.62x25 round produces. The round was hot, the gun was very accurate and never jammed. I loved it. Unfortunatley I dont own it anymore. I also had a zastava tokarev in 9mm para. It also was very accurate and never jammed. Overall very slim and nice if you can over look some minor fit/finish flaws. I'm not sure about nowadays but used to be cheep so for the money a highly recommended pistol.

Im case anyone's coming back to this video, there was a batch of Type 54s (Chinese TT33) imported with a modified glock-like trigger safety instead of that awful added thumb safety.
2 things.
The first will probably draw some attention (whether positive or negative is to be seen) but, there is no such thing as stopping power. There is no quantifiable measurement for the term stopping power, so what most people mean when they say "stopping power" is the kinetic energy behind a round as it exits the chamber.
Second thing was that there was a noticeable lack in the coverage over the c clip below the slide that holds the pins in place, and that while firing the TT-33, that c clip will occasionally fall off, causing the weapon to fall apart in your hands.

Brandon - Try the 9mm version of the same pistol. The recoil is not quite as snappy and ammo is "more commonly" available. With just a few replacement parts, yours could be converted to 9mm (and converted back) easily!
Avvesome! Some notes:
1) the cartridge was taken from the Mauser C 96 7.63 x 96, adapted for the Russian 7.62 mm caliber.
2) there is a Stechkin pistol OTs 27 for the same cartridge 7.62x25 mm, using a blowback mechanism.

Makarov: Daniel
Tokarev: The cooler Daniel
PSM = both combined
The Tokarev was never modeled after 1911 it was modeled after Browning 1903 the best thing about Tokarev that it's modular. The trigger mechanism is removable without any tools. The soldier could carry a spare trigger group and could replace it in seconds. The trigger group is the most vulnerable part of the gun and if it fails the gun is useless unless you have a gunsmith nearby. That is the genius of the soviet designer to make it modular.

If anyone was wondering, the music that he played during the montage was the instrumental to Addicted To Chaos by Megadeth
That was my first gun. Mine was a Narino $275 dollars at a pawnshop in Sweetwater Texas. I loved it the slender magazine the gun itself the size it’s how slender it is but it does have some weight on it.
That was the best FPS Russia impression ever.
"ADDICTED TO AKS"
One of Megadeths best tracks
You Know The Gun Drummer?
I wish he'd do a Havok song
I was literally thinking that song from the drum beat before the guitar riff came on and realized it’s the song instead of a random montage song.
@@KlaustheViking Was a pleasant surprise
@@crutches4375 Indeed. Looking forward to Dave’s recovery from cancer and maybe crank out one or two more albums before calling it quits.
I have the Chinese 213 "T-33 version" in 9mm that I picked up in the 90's. Still fun to shoot.
Hi Brandon, I always loved the ballistics of tokarev but at the same time hated its grip angle. Since brand new Russian toks are impossible to find here in Turkey, I got myself a norinco variant (brand new) and put the Yugo ergo grip on it after some minor adjustments. That gun now has a near perfect grip angle and ergonomics plus it looks damn good. I suggest you try putting one on yours and give It a try.
Yah know with all the whiteclaw that has been evaporated into the aether you could have funded a small group of sorority girls for about 2 hours. Ima just leave that here😂
0:34, you think we don't recognise a Megadeth cover track from the drum intro alone? I have never been so fast to like and comment on a video. Addicted to Chaos indeed!
I have the Russian 1948 model. No safety, half-cock only. Strong recoil, massive damage and the sights are as accurate as a micrometer.... and yes, some walls can be penetrated.
Europoor here. PPU actually makes their defense line in 7.62 Tokarev, and Sellier&Ballot make fresh fmj. pretty cheap too, less than your average 9mil. Kinda tempted to get one, surplus ones go pretty cheap, around 500 Euro.
