- Some troops have arrived to assist the federal government in retaking control over the United States from the separatists, and after securing Houston, the next mission is to focus on the western front and retake the Pacific states. Meanwhile, the world is breaking apart rapidly, with ever more uprisings and civil wars spreading. The hold of the German Empire globally is becoming weaker.

weirdly it could be good for you if hungry wins as you get to annex Austria and most of the time all there puppet just join your faction but know doing A narrative so put to you
For now, supporting our Austrian brothers is the right choice - after all, we've been fighting side-by-side in the Weltkrieg, and they've been a guarantor of peace in the Balkans. That said, their decision to try and break down Hungary puts some serious question marks over their capability to govern sanely, and we'll see how things turn out in the end.
Help Hungary, you would have (gona' want) to take over Austria Bohemia and Slovenia anyways.
+ It's so rare to see a succesfully libarated Hungary these day, it would be nice so see them win. Also I don't remember weather Kaissereich has it but they might be able to give you Austrian and "majority" German terrytories is they capitulate the monarchy.
For now, the German government isn't quite in favour of Hungary's "rebellion" - who knows which other states get funny ideas. But Austria isn't without blame, so things might change.
I'm also playing for Germany on the way Schleicher, and I want to tell you that if you didn't strengthen Russia and international settings, it will be boring. Just like in vanilla, for an interesting game, the main opponents need to be seriously enhanced with additional mods or settings in the game
I've heard that the mod is challenging, and since I'm playing blind / first time, I didn't buff the opposition - mostly because I had no idea who it would be.
We'll see how hard it gets, Germany certainly has been given some major debuffs to sort through, but that's also one practical reason I didn't want to support the fascists in the US, since having the US on my side felt OP.

Long was called a fascist by his contemporaries, but later historians have been more balanced, from what I remember.
In game-lore, the America First Party is allied with the Silver League, and those folks were proper Roman-salute white supremacists.
Long himself I've described in the intro as a "demagogue" version of von Schleicher, with a relatively socialist agenda (e.g. 100% taxes for anything above a million), but with somewhat unsavoury Allies.
Ironically, kind of like von Schleicher in the historical timeline, which ended up costing him and his wife their lives.

I've got a different plan for the next series, but I definitely like the lore depth in this mod, so I'll pick it back up for sure.

I'll also finally squeeze in a focus to reduce the "Victors of the Weltkrieg" debuff. I'm seriously struggling to do any kind of offensive operations with 9/0 infantry.
