Are you serious? He had one good month last year. When the Rockets were trying for the play-in against GSW he gets benched. His defense? Against who? He average less than a block and steal?
As long as Sengun is doing things like rebounding, screen assists, and defense (not counting Sochan), I'm going to give him the same grace I gave Jalen Green last season. Which is basically saying the same thing as "I don't love it, but I don't hate it either". Alpi can be a top 5 center in this league and he's not performing up to that standard. He's doing all the "team specific" things we want from him, but we're waiting on the "individual specific" things that we know he is capable of. It honestly is very similar to JG's situation last season.
I agree, I am not concerned with Alpi. Obviously, his offense up to this point has not been good by his standards, there is no reason to dance around that. However, we also have to keep in mind that in these 5 games, he has faced some really tough paint defending guys. Most notably Wemby 2x, and Edey. And yes, I know when you pay a guy like we paid him, you expect him to rise above that, but it is still a tough task for any big man who is not Jokic or Embiid. I hate the polarization between Sengun stans and Jalen stans, even as a self-admitted Sengun stan. They absolutely can coexist, and I think Alpi will turn it back on. And when he does, I think we will be a scary team even in the strong west.
Saw a ton of missed possessions where Fred isn't hitting the open man streaking down the floor. Would like to see a bit more Reed with the Jalen, Amen, Tari and Adams unit, let the young man take his lumps.
I sold my Jalen stock before the start of the season unfortunately. Still have my Alpy stock but might have to sell a little bit of that to buy back some Jalen stock as it's expensive now. Selling all my FVV and Jabari stock to load up Amen and Tari stock. Rockets are going to the moon 🚀🚀
Why is everyone so ready to trade someone away in the comments, our goal is for both alpi and jalen to reach their highest possible chemistry. If both of them can find a way to mesh along with the talent outside of them getting better we have literally a dream scenario thats feasible on our hands.
It’s called mathematics 😂😂 we can’t keep all 7 guys it’s the elephant in the room.. okc dealing with the same thing that’s why giddy in Chicago and Tre man in charlotte… I say identity who u want to build around based on salary talent and fit instead of pretending it’s not gon be issue… keep green, amen, tari and Bari and reed… cam and senguin trade bait cam wants a bigger role and money and senguin a liability now that green locked in..
they want to be a contenter immediately, and to be honest they are capable now that they're young stars are in the highest value. with VanVleet contract situation I'd say this is exactly the perfect year for that. but I won't be surprise if they decide to take the long road and build around Jalen and Alpi.
@@bizzyboomin9277 theyve kept more than theyve dealt, they still have both j williams, chet, casen wallace, shai, lu dort, isaiah joe, etc. they got rid of giddey cuz hes ass, and mann wasnt getting minutes cuz of how much talent they have. I see us dealing cam in a similar light, but the idea of us HAVING to give up some of our KEY pieces isnt smart to me
I think Sengun might be slightly injured or something because he hasn't looked as quick or as explosive to start the season. Some of those missed layups hes been having should have been dunks and he isn't blocking some easier shots that I think he would have been able to get to last year
Increasing Jalen’s value in the market should be one of the main priorities this year. If you put his name in a trade he’s viewed as an asset with value vs last year he had very little value in trades. This is a great development
Why in the hell are we still talking about his trade value? If you're going to trade him it'll be for a star wing. That's exactly what he's playing like. And he's younger than any star wing you'd be trading for. That looks like trading for the sake of trading.
Jalen is him!! Great show and Go Rockets!!
Thank you!

Rockets is going all the way to playoff this season..............💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

I think had we not had those two silly losses Ime would be more likely to do that
if fvv play close to his standards Rockets would have been 5-0

Jalen is going nowhere. Are you watching what he's doing at 22? Why on earth would you trade that?
Jalen is the guy. Jalen in his prime is projected to be better than prime SGA and Booker offensively and defensively.

Trade Jalen in two years opt out clippers max bady
