It just feels like we’re wasting all the defensive effort bc of our lack of shooting. We’re good but it’s overridden by us being in a constant state of survival mode and no lead is ever safe, bc we can’t shoot. In games we get stops and the times we score right after those stops repetitively we see how each defensive possession ignites our next offensive possession but when we get a stop, go down miss, get another stop, miss again, then the other team scores…it’s deflating asf it’s blue balls in basketball form. The rockets ability to kick the can down the road on shooting and a good back up big is honestly wild.

That shot chart for Jalen. I thought I was looking at the Rockets in-season tournament court with all the red. 💀

Great pod guys. Will I agree with you. I hear people complain about Ime's offemse all the time, but we are generating open looks. we simply fail at knocking down open looks. would love to see Cam Johnson here. would also love to see Cam Whitmore get some run to see if he can help fill the void. I think we need too fnd a replacement for FVV. his walk the ball up style is restraining our greyhounds. i'm still holding out hope Jalen can turn things around, but must admit that it's not looking good right now

If this team ever figures out how to shoot a little, and that’s a big if with team as is, the rest of league better watch out

Fred be pissing me off with that slow walking.

The one thing I'll say is we are getting the WRONG guys open 3s. Jalen and Fred are not good shooters and they they are shooting more than everyone else.

To be fair, the clip I showed in the pod is every rotation player not named Steven Adams. The shooting is a team wide issue.

@thebradeauxandwillshow it is...but DB and Bari shoot just fine. Bari especially so. Amen is basically a 40% shooter from the corner. Tari historically is a fairly average shooter. The KILLER...is NONE of those players shoot half of the awful shots that Fred shoots. Fred takes more bad shots than we let Bari take as a whole. Shooting IS our problem...but it's mainly WHO is shooting. Fred routinely hits double digit attempts while making only 1-3 of those shots. A contested dribble pull up 3 off a screen from the shortest player on the court is NEVER a good shot. Fred did the same thing in Toronto. He shot chucks and slows everything down to a crawl with minimal ball movement.

We should of gave Kyrie the money we gave Fred. Y’all believed Jalen Is a bucket but he isn’t a first option at best Jalen is a 6 man. Kyrie with this defense will of been way better. But what do I know.

Its honestly a good loss for the organization. Now stone knows we gotta move on from FVV and/or Green next off season. Amen needs to take one of their spots.

If Stone hadn't handed Jalen that extension, he could easily be traded during the season. So frustrating.

Sorry for Jalen, when he signed the contract. It hinders him to shine. He shall leave rockets soon. Just like SGA and Jalen brunson, they're good until they found the right team for them.

Our backcourt has off nights way too often! At least one guard must be consistently decent on shooting. Neither of our starting guards can shoot over 40% overall is terrible. Amen needs to start and maybe eason too.bad players need to traded on bench regardless of pay or experience let ballers ball.

Good show. Nice work. Let me at this. U will not get Devin Booker. I dont think the suns would give up on him. He proved himself a suns franchise player. If the suns rebuild. They will rebuild around him.

I said this in the last video you guys did about trades. I think that if we're going to trade Jalen we should trade him for someone like jordan poole. Not that poole will fix our problems but he is on a smaller contract. He can be benched, he can be traded and for the time being can shoot and can score at a good level. It allows us to still not lose value on Jalen and still have the flexibility to do a star player trade down the line. I don't think this team is ready for prime time like Barkely said. we still need to see where we are at with the players we've drafted and we can still continue to draft young players until we hit big.
If you look at OKC, Orlando and Memphis as the blueprint thay never had to do big star player trades, they just did trades on the margins and if we look at Minnesota who decided to swing big with trades, the've dramatically shortened their window which is what i think will happen if we make a big trade

These two brick layers are the cause of every loss we have. They take so many shots and have the worst % s on the team they should not have the greenlight to shoot so much. Pass to better shooters, and there are a few on the team. I would trade both of these chumps in a heartbeat! They are both overhyped, and their perceived value is way higher than their actual worth.

I think people misunderstand when Ime lack of creativity is mentioned. What is said is if guys can not knock down open shot you got to find a way to give your guys easier basket. Guys do not know their most efficient scoring spots neither when and where their shot is coming. It is a mess.
Then you have guys jacking up shots.
Stone already the roster is not changing this year unless so we are not taking any new contract this year unless we plan to trade somebody?? Ime needs to do with what he has and stop saying he is OK with shots. No hell no the guys can't shoot far from the basket. My only hope is Amen gain more confidence to have more playing time at Guard spot playing time. He offers more cutting and pace.

The Rockets are about to screw up their rebuild and won't even know it until its too late. The only guy that need to be traded is Alperen Sengun. He is their biggest problem!
Jalen Green is also the problem along with FVV and D.Brook. All 4 starters are the problem except for Jabari Smith.
But what the Rockets coaching staff fail to look at is, HOW RUNNING THE OFFENSE THROUGH SENGUN IS CONTRIBUTING TO OUR LACKLUSTER OFFENSE.
Its contributing to the team shooting poorly. Sengun is not setting the tone on offense, and his presence and having the ball in his hands is causing the perimeter guys' shooting woes. That's what being overlooked, here.
Sengun has a negative vibe, offensively, that rubs off on the guys.
This is why you see instances where the 2nd unit always bailing out the starting 5 unit because the 2nd unit doesn't have Sengun discombobulating the offense.
Sengun miss too much, he holds the ball and plays painstakingly slow. It put the offense to sleep.
We need to MOVE TF AWAY FROM THAT!
We need an UPTEMPO offense..run and gun! It snaps us out of our shooting funk when we play fast like the 2nd unit does. Thats our identity!
This experiment with Sengun is a fckin' joke that need to end!

LOL. Most dump comment i have seen. Not even worth commentin on it. If the shooting of the backcourt would be only average the team would look much better.

      @serdar388
You gotta be one of the dumbest Rockets fan if you can't see the obvious. In the 1st few minutes of every game almost, Sengun never set the tone, offensively.
He largely start off making stupid mistakes and blow into his hands like he's still warming up. He's a fckin fraud. He does it in every game: bunched up missed shots, stupid fouls/charges, turnovers all in the first 2 minutes of the game.
We can't get into a rhythm out the gate. And before we know it, it spreads like a virus. That's what I mean by being a "negative vibe" on offense. That's what contributing to our poor shooting woes. It's SENGUN!
You clowns holler about Green being inconsistent and act like Al-P is trailblazing out there. Pfft.
If Sengun is the face of the Rockets why criticize Green when the offense going through Sengun?

The mods on here blocking me from.commenting and deleting my comments.
They don't want me telling you guys the hard truth about Sengun because they Haters and not real Rckets fans. They want you to love Sengun like he can do no wrong because they know, playing through Sengun will always be too problematic to see success, and we will keep losing to elite teams.
Don't listen to these Podcasters. They talk dumb on basketball.
