  • Changing the oil and the oil filter on my 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650. This is my first video so maybe a little rough, but hopefully with your support I can get better at this and we can form another motorcycle resource for you all!
Please like and subscribe, and I'll work on getting this going! Any tips or things I could do better, please let me know in the comments!

Hey! I just did my oil change and when my bike is running the slight glass would be full, and I was afraid it might be too much since usually when people start their bikes there would be no oil in the sight glass. When I turn off my bike the oil is by the high level mark on the sight glass. This video was great because while you were running your bike the sight glass was full. I wasn’t the only one!

Per the manual Engine Oil Capacity
    1.6 L (1.7 US qt)
    [when filter is not removed]
    1.8 L (1.9 US qt)
[when filter is removed] also only need to seat the gasket on the filter and add a half turn

I notice this too in the owners manual but that is barely enough to get oil showing in the sight glass. I always have to add more to get the oil in the middle where it's supposed to be. Must be a mistake in the manual?

@@Kawboy13 I put in the 2 full quarts. If you're using a larger than a for instance K&N 303 filter you'll need more oil. Be sure the bike is LEVEL when viewing the window. If you haven't come join the Kawasaki Versys Forum. My handle is Axel Johansson
