I miss the 90's so much. Sports, Movies ,TV Shows ,Music, Life everything was better in that time. Thank you so much for posting my childhood show. 90's is The Best Era.💛💚💪🇦🇺
It's an interesting phenomenon to observe. Society has changed rapidly. In certain ways, there was more expected at a younger age then too. People are more free to "find themselves" now without so much criticism about wasting time, "bludging" and "loafing".
@@Murgatroydian Also you have to factor in retroactive aging(ie we percieve all these people as older because their hair, clothing and mannerisms are basically what we picture on current middle age people. For example in the Usa Jennifer Anniston's hair in friends in the 90's was a highly emulated youth culture style women wore, but in the 2010's a "Rachel" haircut was the typical haircut on a middle aged suburban mom.
I haven't seen this show since it aired. I thought I dreamed it. All I remembered was TAIPAN because I had long hair as a kid and I thought long hair was cool.
Cougar had a little bit of a legal issue come up and the producers decided to distance themselves from him. Rebel was barely used in the second half of Series 2. She only appeared in the games of 10 of the 15 episodes.
Así como lurene era competidora y ganadora del concurso gladiadores Australia la convierten en gladiadora y es así como los de American gladiators de 2008 Hulk Hogan se le vino la idea de convertir en gladiadores a Rocket y jet.
25:20 Mandela Effect... I could have sworn that the duelling sticks had white tape wrapped around them to make boxes on the padded parts. I guess almost 30 years will do that to a mind... LOL
This makes an interesting comparison to the British gladiators: Better: more metal intro though somewhat cheesier, gladiators look to be chosen for their athletic abilities rather than physiques especially the men, more competent male host, gladiators are much more all round rather than specialised like the British. Similar: Great production values, great music for events, great location for spectacle. Worse: Awful costumes for the gladiators and contestants, commentator not as good, referee not as good, a drawback to the gladiators being much more all round athletes is none of them seem to stand out, Vulcan is a terrible "bad guy" compared to Wolf.
Nope, nothing is better about this. The intro sucks, they stole our event music and copied the format.. Zero originality. At least we did things differently from the American show. Lastly, the Birmingham indoor arena was the best location, hence all the international shows were held in the UK. ☮

A new Australian Gladiators series is set to premiere on January 8th, 2024.
Back when I actually wanted to watch tv.
I love love love the gladiators of the 1990’s
Glacier is awesome as a Glad
25:23 Our First Look At Lorraine As Gladiator GLACIER
With Gladiators making a return in the UK for 2023, I'm hoping this will also means a return for American Gladiators & Australian Gladiators too
Man , they aged differently in the 90s - 30 was like 50
Hiú
yeah! They look like a decade older than their age

Always wanted to settle conflicts in the office with those pugel sticks.
Mike has taken a leaf out of the UK gladiator's male host's book for this episode: "Well done, well done!"
Seeing the changes from 1st season to 3rd. The costumes, games etc.
Wonder how they chose which gladiator wore helmet cam
This is the most 90s thing ever
Kimberley Joseph is a goddess
Shane vs Wayne. Tell me you're watching Australian Gladiators without telling me you're watching Australian Gladiators. 😂
I haven't seen this show since it aired. I thought I dreamed it. All I remembered was TAIPAN because I had long hair as a kid and I thought long hair was cool.
If you look at the clock in the women's eliminator although Alison was in Red her time was shown on the blue clock.
I’m pretty sure there was a husband and wife special of Gladiators back in 1996, but I can’t find it on RUclips. Does anyone have footage for it?
Poor Alison it's not been her day at all!
Shane was Fierce! He would have given Mark Everett a run for his money
Only Shane in my opinion had a good night tonight
The speed on that uphill moving ramp is moving twice as fast for the men. Compare how slow it is moving for the female contestants.
They used the UK Gladiators music in these events.
I wonder why Cougar & Rebel didn't return for season 3 ?
Any number of reasons really.
Cougar had a little bit of a legal issue come up and the producers decided to distance themselves from him. Rebel was barely used in the second half of Series 2. She only appeared in the games of 10 of the 15 episodes.
The men’s hair is longer than the women’s
What a haircut on Shane.
The 90's mullet
Mullets are banned in some places now lol
@@ukgladiatorsfan definitely not Australian high schools though, they're back in fashion
@@firecausesburns Which is a disgrace! If only they realised how stupid they look!!

Was there a season 4?
Nope.
Technically no, But in 2008 was a one season revival
Due to injuries and costs unfortunately there wasn’t. There was one planned but it got scrapped sadly.
25:20 Mandela Effect... I could have sworn that the duelling sticks had white tape wrapped around them to make boxes on the padded parts. I guess almost 30 years will do that to a mind... LOL
They do on other versions (UK and American). This is my first taste of Australian Gladiators.
This was the case on season 2.
Is it my imagination or do the male challengers have longer hair than Kimberley.
No, it definitely isn't your imagination lol
51:04 THAT WAS CLOSE TO DISASTER FOR SHANE!!!
This is the most Bogan male challengers in the history of Gladiators Surely!
So corny, so good 😊
Shame they got rid of the gorgeous Rebel to bring in woofbasket lourene

Don't you ever speak ill of Mike Whitney again
Watch 'Australia who dares wins VHS compilation 1996' and you'll know why
29:43 How Embarassing!
the pre fight lasted longer than the fight itself
How does RUclips know whàt. I wantto watch
