I immediately remembered that SpongeBob episode at the end where he cries mustard into the Krabby Patties. Never thought Family Guy would do a plot like that.
That’s mainly because Mr Krabs’s stingyness over SpongeBob being a minute late to work caused him to develop insomnia and when SpongeBob tries to sleep in a barrel of mustard Mr Krabs gets on his case and causes him to cry thus turning him into a mustard dispenser and the whole episode was Mr Krabs’s fault and the episode ends with Mr. Krabs being greedy and using an upset SpongeBob to put mustard on Krabby Patties.
The gas leak wasn't random, it was the punchline to the set up of everyone in the building laughing, they were laughing because of the gas, which is a subversion of the belief that they were just laughing because they stopped megs cookie business

Ya know, with how well they're treating Meg, I'm kinda hoping we get a proper Stewie&Brian episode with Meg much like how eventually Chris got one when they time travelled to help Chris with his history homework. Like, the closest they got to that type of episode was when Meg was kidnapped and Stewie/Brian had to go save her.
Gotta love how they built on a one off cutaway to make it actual canon: They abandoned Meg after birth at a firestation only for that firestation to abandon her a second time. I got a laugh from that.
Theres a continuity in this episode because Chris mentions a cutaway gag where Lois and Peter briefly dropped Meg off at the local firehouse. Also it wasn't a Subway. It was a Quiznos.

I can believe Peter getting a big head about having his own show (sort of like how he got rude and demanding in the episode where Lois starts boxing). I can also believe he’d use his show as a platform to crap on Lois (which he did with Petey’s Funhouse and wanted to do with Handi-Quacks) But we don’t see any of it other than Lois hate-watching Peter’s show I was expecting them to say something about men getting upset when there’s something not targeted to them. Or heck, I was thinking the ladies would crash and protest the show to try and get it canceled, only for their protest to gain the show more views, like how people have been protesting oil as of late and making fools of themselves. As is, Lois comes across as someone who can’t stand being wrong in any capacity, which didn’t feel right or set up properly. As for the A plot, I was wondering what happened to Quahog’s supply of onions when they couldn’t get Meg to tear up.
Logically? Or maybe scientificly? Whatever Pretty sure they specified that Meg’s tears of SADNESS where the secret ingredient. Emotion based tears are chemically different than reflexive tears that happen while cutting onions or else that would have been the go to when they couldn’t make her cry the first time.
First Lois hugged Meg in the last episode, then Meg, Chris, Stewie, and Brian hugged each other in last Sunday's episode? This is great and I'm glad that they boys want Meg to be happy.
I really like this sort of interaction with meg. Meg's life being miserable not because of her family, but because of life in general. And her family is the reason why she is happy. Teaches us the meaning of family

I took an Italian Literature class once in uni, and one story was about this girl who had a true love but was being made to marry someone else. Meg crying into the cookies remind me of a film called Like water for Chocolate. Where Tita cries into the cake, that when the guests in her sister's wedding eat the cake, they feel her sorrow of not being with her lover. The food she made had an emotional affect.
I’m not gonna lie I was half paying attention to the episide and thought the ending was entirely sarcastic and still confused and if caught off guard. I hope Meg going in the direction (like you said) continues
So might have been lost in translation. But the joke about Chris having his own "play" was supposed to be him having his own stand up comedy special. Often times comics used to have their special titled something like "You gotta believe me" or "that's what I'm sayin" and that ends up being the punch line of about half the jokes. That's why the audience members leaving were saying things like "he said that way too often it got annoying" and making their own jokes, quips, and anecdotes with the title punch line.
They didn’t treat Meg like a punching bag this episode. When they started belittling her at the end, why didn’t they just show her another sad video clip. They wanted her to cry to make money, and even before the payday, they all agreed right away. I think the basketball episode was the catalyst, Peter was insulting her out of love, not hatred, and Meg knew it. And also when she rescued him in Russia. Shut up Megs
😂😂😂 the only time family guy and changed are in the same sentence is if the word doesn’t is between them. You expect this show to be consistent, then your watching the wrong show.

Meg is strong lifting a 1200 lb horse out of a giant fish bowl.
The horse weighs over 15000 pounds
If you don't get that reference then this is probably so strange.
I love how this has basically become the Meg redemption/apology season.

This is amazing they finally stopped making Meg a punching bag 🙌
0:45 That's disgusting, Meg!
Drawn together did the meg storyline years ago
Dragon's Den sounds way cooler than Shark Tank
They didn’t treat Meg like a punching bag this episode. When they started belittling her at the end, why didn’t they just show her another sad video clip. They wanted her to cry to make money, and even before the payday, they all agreed right away. I think the basketball episode was the catalyst, Peter was insulting her out of love, not hatred, and Meg knew it. And also when she rescued him in Russia. Shut up Megs
😂😂😂 the only time family guy and changed are in the same sentence is if the word doesn’t is between them. You expect this show to be consistent, then your watching the wrong show.
Their inconsistencies are another reason I came to hate Family Guy. Mediocre is another word I'd associate with FG.
