    I was about to buy a car when a saw this vid 6 months ago. I was naturally beetween the yaris and the swift. 6 months now, my swift gives me a smile everytime the engine lights up. Great fuel economy, really good gimmicks in the cabin and a decent punch when you want to floor it, especially while already rolling . Great car

    • @sunilayya8948
      @sunilayya8948 5 лет назад +1

      How could you have even considered a yaris. It looks so awful , especially inside. Even if it lasts a century i wouldn't buy one. Swift is every thing the yaris is not.😀

      I got a new Yaris 2 years ago and it was a big let down. Ride and handling good, engine quiet but not enough power and 6 speed manual didnt help with lack of torque. Also had dash rattle and creaking from engine bay that dealer couldnt fix. Got an Audi A1 instead, although I didnt like that either so I ended up with a cheap Suzuki Celerio and I really enjoy it for what it is. I like what Suzuki have to offer these days. Good brand for the money.

    I was waiting for the review for long time.
    Just got mine (exactly like the one you test but with the 6-speed automatic) and your comments on positive and negative aspects of the car are absolutely spot on. Especially I appreciate your comments on the phone/mirrorlink/charging interaction as well as the utterly stupid and sensitive break-assist radar. My city is full of small narrow streets and the radar even activates when pedestrians walk on the narrow sidewalks. I deactivate it always when i start the car unfortunately.
    The arm-rest I had it fitted as a gift from the dealer but less than 2 weeks and (as expected) starterd to make the noises....

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 7 лет назад +3

      +Bogdan Sikorski This radar is for collision avoidance/mitigation system. You're referring to eCall, which will be mandatory on new models launched as of April 2018. So not on this Swift.

    Very nice video. Everything you said is right. Iam from Greece and i bought the manual version for 14.000. Kilometers: 13.000, consumption: 6.0 lt/100klm! Great fuel economy and really fast, easy and nice to drive. The visability front up could be much better so that you wouldn't have to lean forward to see the traffic light and also it would be nice if the suspension wouldn't be so noisy when you run over potholes (both also mentioned on your video). A really value for money car, much better than any other car at the same price!

    Most expensive Swift in Croatia costs 17.600 euros, 1.0 AT GLX ACC. 4x4 is offered only with 1.2 and costs a bit less same as 1.0 hybrid without AT..Swift with 1.0 starts round 14500, cheapest one with 1.2 round 12000.. Suzuki has even cheaper prices in Serbia and few countries around.. This model look really didnt impress me at all. I didnt even wanted to sit in it but i would love to drive that 1.0 in the city..That engine powers much bigger SCross with no problems with performance and it super light Swift it must be lively and fun to drive..I hope Sport version is on the way this time with tweaked 1.4 under the hood but i dont know..

    it's irritating that your swift has heated seats but the one here in new zealand does not, you also have a more advanced display between the speed and rpm dials and a stop light at the back on the bottom.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 7 лет назад +2

      That light at the bottom of the rear bumper is a fog light. Rear fog lights are mandatory in the EU. Perhaps not in New Zealand. Or in your cars they are integrated with the tail lamps?

    The boosterjet starts at the price of 13400 Euros in my country.Are the climate control and cruise control optional in the boostejet or are they standard equipment? Great review covered everything i wanted to know as i am an owner of a swift (2010) model.The only bad thing in my car is that when u try to overtake someone in the highway you need time if you are on low rpms but it seems that they kinda fixed that prob with the 3-cyl turbocharged engine

    It's €20,995 here in Ireland for the same spec model. We do have higher taxes on new cars though. The Swift was actually something I was considering, although I may wait to see the Swift Sport which is (apparently) due next year.
    In comparison, a similar Mazda2 (1.5L 90ps Petrol Auto) clocks in at €19,855. I think Suzuki may have missed the mark on the pricing. Really, I think the swift should be at least 10% lower in price.

    • @JakubVelicky
      @JakubVelicky 7 лет назад

      Marek Drives well in that context it makes more sense. Cars in germany are generaly more expensive as their median income is generaly also much higher. Still even 19k seems a bit much. Is importing cars from neighbouring countries too expensive to be relevant in poland? We have only "first registration in slovakia" tax to deal with and you pay that where ever you bought car from. Especialy if we are talking about new cars. It gets more complicated with older ones. Just wondering if anyone close to borders would buy this in poland instead of here and just import it 😉

I configured the new Seat Ibiza to the level of top trim swift and it was about 15% more expensive than Swift (but of course it's a better made car), If you try cars like Hyundai i30 it will be way more expensive than that... Only car I found that was cheaper with almost the same equipment (lacking full LED lights, but heated steering wheel to make up for it) was the new Kia RIO
