Finally got around to really digging through this discography and yeah, I love this band now. Nice rundown of their history.
Close to a world below is my favourite. Furthest from the truth is my favourite Immolation song
Here In After is my #1. 10/10
I dig the production on Failures for Gods; the bass drum sound is pummeling! That trilogy of Here, Failures, and Closer is on the best in all death metal.

But I love every album, only my last two spots I don’t really return to, but the rest of the discography is just pure hellish bliss.
Nice timing, I'm seeing them tomorrow night with Obituary and Blood Incantation. This video randomly showed up. How did RUclips know? When I was in ninth grade I came home from school to find that my parents had buried all my death metal cassettes (this was 1992), including Dawn of Possession, because they thought it was devil music. I, of course, just re-acquired them all later. Immolation fucking rules and I can't wait to see them again. Thanks for taking the time to go through all of these. It is indeed a lot. Subbed, btw.
