I recently found a few of those bad boys on my wall, but mine were more white'ish and their shell was thinner than the ones you showed. It's fascinating how they can change their head's position to move from either sides from their shell. Also glad to hear they don't crawl into my ears or mouth at night, that's very reassuring. Thank you for this video and explanation!
Thank you Google Lens. I thought I was tripping 😂 sitting outside having a smoke and see this... Well what I thought was a piece of bark, moving and I touched it and it wasnt moving so I thought I was tripping so I used Google Lens then found out what it was 😄 interesting though because I've never seen or heard of these things until now haha
It's not entirely true that they are harmless to us, they can present even a life threatening risk to those who have certain types of allergies. When in small numbers however, they are individually harmless and do help clean ur corners of the house , but they also can carry bacteria and fungi on their housing, so when handling them avoid touching them with bare hands
They are certainly not good for your mental health when your carpets, upholstered furniture, and fabrics are being destroyed. Or when the larvae infest and eat away at the inside of your mattress!!! 🤦♀️🙂
I've been finding a lot of those in my apartment since it's a 40 year old apartment that has gone through renovation, however the kitchen and laundry were not entirely renovated, below the kitchen sink there are a lot of holes that were not closed, it has an entire wall that has no plaster in it, its pure brick and concrete (you can even partially see the faucet pipes and power wiring), same goes for the laundry that there are some holes in the wall (some of them big), where spiders grow, and the apartment owner doesn't allow me to fix it myself... and due to these structural issues, casebearers started to pop from everywhere and it started to worry me after I found them in the kitchen drawer where I store utensils, and I figured that they got there due to the kitchen sink back being poorly finished, as it's open. I didn't want to kill them, so I just grabbed them and threw them through the window knowing that they would survive as they are light as leaves. I wouldn't mind their existence if it wasn't to the fact they can actually carry dust and bacteria from the floor in their cases, so after they started popping up inside the kitchen's cabinet I decided it was time to call pest control and moved pans and utensils somewhere else properly closed until I got this controlled.
One or two or three sightings is still manageable. But if they're everywhere, I think it's time to call pest control. Thank you for sharing your story. 😊
I have so many questions about this. 1. Can we see them before they form their case? How small is the larvae stage after the egg hatched? 2. Does the larvae stage die if they don’t get to feed? 3. So they’re usually on the wall but last few days I saw one on my blanket. I wonder how they get up here? Does that mean the larvae are already infested my bed but I can’t see them? And then they form the case from my blanket? Or it’s just accidentally there by other means. I have a fear for work and this looks exactly like worm when it’s crawling. So for the past 2 nights my sleep was terrible. I feel itchy everywhere afraid it might crawl on me. Oh so there goes my big question 4. Does it eat only hair with dust on the floor or do they actually feeds on our hair on the head as well? I’m also scared they might get onto my head later at night. And does it crawl on my body? 😶🌫️ 5. Does a bunch of dust together means there’s that insect inside forming their cast? It should be around 0.5cm right? 6. Last one. I searched and it says it lays egg around 200 each time. Does that mean there are 200 larvae in my room right now 😭🤯 or do most of them die. I often spot them crawling inside my clothes room too and I killed it then vacuum it. The first time I saw it in my room I also freaked out and removed everything from my room then do pest control with those chemicals but it didn’t work and eventually I got to it. But seeing one on my blanket, my bed, I don’t think I’ll ever recover from this. So please help. Or I can do a consultant sess with you with all these questions
Probably ang ilang adult form na kai klase man ni sila sa moth. Pero pde gihapon mga ants or termites with wings looking for a mate imong gakakita sa mga lights. Pero ang mga larvae aning casebearers are non-flying pa.
These creatures are disgusting. There are multiple and possibly thousands of them in my house. I have scoleciphobia and I don't like them being inside my house. Is there any way to remove these?
If you see a few, you could just scrub them off with a broom and off to the garbage bin. If there is an infestation, which rarely occurs, you can call your pest control agent.
You can pick it up one by one or sweep them with your broom and throw them in your garbage bin or outside your house. They're not really that harmful though.
You should kill them because they have venom that can make our skin to be itchy and leave black sores that will take years to be gone Idk when you squished them, did they bite you or release their venomous hair?
Napagkamalan ko to noon na bagong species or alien haha 😂 Mukhang hindi ito native dito sa pinas kasi wala naman akong nakikitang ganito noon sa lumang bahay namin nung bata pa ko. Correct me if Im wrong 😏

They don't crawl my ear or mouth at night it's funny😂😂
Well, seeing like this kinds of bugs feel ughhh soo dirty
I thought they're dead on the wall, in fact they're living and could move everywhere.
Well, some are empty cases while some still has a resident inside. 🙂
I've seen a few of these around my house, thanks for sharing this info.
Thanks!

They're dangerous to our skin
Their color is related to the things they eat around them. They like to move (travel) during the night when the lights are gone and is dark
How to clean totally 😢

How long is 7 millimillars?
more than a quarter inch. :)
I can’t stand these things. I’ve never seen them before. Where did they come from and how do you get rid of them?
You can just sweep them off with a broom then dump on the trash can. Make sure they don't crawl out. Can be a nuisance but harmless to humans.
