Q: I can't find my serial prefix on ismyswitchpatched.com [ismyswitchpatched.com]
A: That means your switch is patched so the only way you could mod it is by installing a mod chip and changing the switches internal hardware. You could look at other RUclips videos or check this subReddit for help www.reddit.com/r/SwitchPirates/ [reddit.com]
Q: What do I need to mod my switch, equipment-wise?
A: An RCM Jig, USB-C Cable, Micro SD card, and a Micro SD card adapter/reader. Check the description for links to those.
Q: Can I get banned for modding my switch?
A: Once you mod your switch you put yourself at risk of being banned. It all depends on what type of modding you do on your switch. If you do something like pirate full games then you'll have a high chance of getting banned. Also, if you want to use your switch normally with no mods running you can just restart your switch and your mods won’t be active.
Q: I turned my switch off and now my mods are missing, do I have to repeat the whole tutorial process all over again?
A: No, If you turn your switch off your mods will be inactive. All you have to do is use tegrarcm and the rcm jig to reinject your switch. Then select your emunand/ Fuse payload and your mods will be working again. You do not need to redo the entire tutorial again. You do not need to recreate another emunand partition.
Q: Can I play online after modding my switch?
A: Yes, you can play online with mods if you mod your sysnand.
Q: How do I turn my mods off?
A: Just turn your switch completely off. To turn them back on, repeat the injection process. If you want to leave them on, just don't turn your switch completely off.
Q: Can I do this on mac?
A: You can try using switch.exploit.fortheusers.org/ [switch.exploit.fortheusers.org] instead of Tegra, let me know if that works for you.
Q: Can I do this on the switch OLED/Switch Lite?
A: As of right now, you can only mod the switch OLED/ Switch Lite with physical hardware modifications.
Q: Is there a way to view your album (pictures, screenshots, videos, etc.) with homebrew installed?
A: Yup, hold R button then choose album.
Q: What if I don't want to buy an RCM Jig?
A: There's an alternative, which is using tin foil. It has a possibility of damaging your joycons but if you're interested I found this article: noirscape.github.io/RCM-Guide/ [noirscape.github.io] , or just look up other RUclips tutorials.
Q: Im getting Incorrect fusee.bin what do i do?
A: If you’re having issues with the incorrect fusee.bin file the way to fix it is by manually updating your fusee.bin file by going to the atmosphere link I provided and manually downloading the fusee.bin file separately and replacing the existing one with it in your bootloader/payloads folder. If you're still having issues you may have a corrupted SD card . I would try reformatting it again.
Then you should be able to run atmosphere properly.
Restarting the entire modding process may help as well. Somewhere down the line you may have misplaced your files.

Q I keep getting "Hekate bootloader issue no main boot entries found"
A: Your Hekate_ipl.ini may have been incorrectly set up. either but saving it as a text file or just incorrectly doing it. Please go click the rentry site and copy the texts there. Make sure youre saving it under all files type and as an .ini format. If you're having difficulties I have created a download link with the mods set up and ready to go in my discords group under the downloads tab.
Q: I have Error: NOFAT Failed to mount SD card what do I do?
A: Two possibilities, Your sd card reader could possibly not be mounted properly to your switch or Your sd card does not have a primary partition. If your sd card reader was working before you modded your switch then your sd card reader is fine. You will need create a Primary partition on your sd card and reformat it to fat32. An issue I’m getting is Tegra isn’t detecting my switch, is there a way to insure your in rcm mode as my switches joy con rail is partly broken and have tried numerous cables.
When I completed everything a blue screen pooped up asking me to reset it by pressing volume or restart the switch by pressing power off. When I reset the hack didn't work
Why do I get a error after injection payload? It's asking me to hold on power to restart, and it continues over and over., Wish you would address these problems, I have a problem eich I didn't have before, you should triple check something before posting it

You’re welcome! Sorry to hear your switch is patched. I know there are people you can pay to mod your switch for you with a chip out there. May be worth it depending on why you want to mod your switch

Fuck yes!!! It actually worked!!!! I had a yellow serial, it was only about 5000 off from the green cutoff so I figured it would work but you never know. Fwoosh, that was a relief
I risked it and upgraded to 17.01 as of 12/19/23 and was able to jailbreak it safely. Thank you sir :)

cant seem to get RCM to boot on 17.0.1 u guys find any problems?
@@nycesz7919 sometimes if you do the RCM paperclips methods or with actual foil it's really hard to get the right angle so you can get the right boot to inject fusee

So when I recorded this 1.6.1 was the latest version shortly after they updated. I wasn’t gonna refilm lol 🤣 instead of downloading 1.6.1 just download the latest one 1.6.2

i need help. when i load in to fusee it says error invalid gpt signature. i redid everything also made sure its fat32 formatted and still pops up. can it be the sd card?

When this is done can we install Tinfoil directly in the album or do we need to follow your other tutorial for tinfoil and nut?
Do you just drag back the old nintendo folder onto your sd card after you're finished to get back old saves and stuff or when do you do it? That was never really explained.

what do I do if the screen turns yellow when injecting
For some reason my sd card was giving me errors about the format when putting it in the switch but it turned out that setting it to primary instead of logical fixes it.
on the back of my switch it says HAC 001 so its a v1 but i dont see my serial number is xkw5 but i dont see it on is my switch patched

im stuck at the last step though. when i select the fusee.bin its throwing an error. it cant find "sdmc:/atmosphere/package3"
after creating the emu mmc i had to put the atmosphere file on the sd card again.

Hopefully someone can help me. I can not play any of my digital games. It says a nintendo account is required and some games say the software is not currently not on the console even though it is there. When I play it on the normal side of the switch my game is there on the sd card and of course because I have internet it does not give me the account is required error. I have tried linkalho and linked and unlinked accounts and the tinfoil fake account option. Nothing works and it still will not let me play the games I bought on the emum side. Any advice on what could be wrong?
Clear steps, however I did the process with only a 16 Gb card. an I copy those files to a larger one and will the switch then still be modded?
with a modded switch, how do you turn it off, can you only put the switch to sleep and not power off anymore?
So I followed the directions and everything went smoothly. But after I get on the Modded Switch none of my games open, they have the cloud icon and it says I need to download files for them but when I try to do that I get an error message. I made sure to do the EaseUS partition thing in the very beginning so I'm confused.

After transferring all 3 zip files into the sd card my boot loader folder didn’t have payloads folder or the ini folder I noticed in yours/his video. Can someone help me with this, am I supposed to create the payloads folder in the boot loader folder?

I got "A fatal error ocurred when running Fusee Invalid GPT signature Press power to reboot." I tried redoing it with 1.5.4 and nothing is working.
did everything in the tutorial, and it seemed to work, but it wont let me open any game unless its a cartridge, it gives me an error code, how can i fix this?

If we had saved games before and backed up everything (as you said in the beginning of the video), it's just copy back to the SD card once you finish partitioning?
I think it's just in case something goes wrong. Your saves will remain on your sysnand(not your SD) but will still be read on atmosphere
