this one is hella underwatched and underrated. if you have 4 hours to spare give it a try, it's like if Alice in Wonderland had magical girls, and pays homage to things like Mad Max and Super Sentai.

Flip Flappers was an incredible anime. It actually made me cry a few times. It deserves a lot more recognition. I think it also deserves a Manga release and it's own game!
Yeah, it started off strong and seemed like it had a lot to say, an episode actually scared me, and another made me cry, but it just sorta fell over by the end. I'll always wish Flip Flappers could have stuck the landing.
@@SeventhSwell I completely diagree with your conclusion, Flip Flappers didn't fall over at all, and stuck the landing well.. tieing everything together and concluding quite nicely. Flip Flappers is masterful from start to finish.
If it had managed the ending better it would be top tier stuff, though tbf that's where most anime (and most pieces of entertainment actually) either fall apart or become the stuff of legends
The fight scenes in this anime are better than most popular action anime’s
this shows fight scenes are comparable to Black Rock Shooter, combined with the fact that the story is easy to understand makes it significantly better than BRS.

God I wish we'd get more original passion projects like this. Pity they rarely sell well enough to fund more.
Unfortunately, Flip Flappers is a classic example of how taking risks in the name of art doesn't always sell. And that is honestly a travesty because this show was so freaking good. It deserved to get a lot more attention and praise, deserved to sell. That it didn't just further reinforces why in the entertainment industry all the corporate types just focused on continuing and sequelizing already exisiting hits, because why take the risk of coming up with something unique when you can just regurgitate an already popular title and rake in the money? Hurts me that Flip Flappers didn't make it.

Please if you haven't watch this i HIGHLY recomend this, is a masterpiece

When the opening perfectly displays what the anime is about and doesn't spoil anything! The full version of this song goes so hard!, also the title "Serendipity" is a great allusion to the story!

Definitely one of my favorites of all time :)
By far the most underrated anime I've ever watched. It's actually incredible.
It's not often that a voice actor manages to make an extremely silly phrase sound incredibly ominous, but the villain of Flip Flappers manages it.

THE... MOST... UNDERRATED ANIME OF ALL TIME! It's amazing how in the anime community hardly anyone knows what I'm talking about when I bring up Flip Flappers! The Art, the soundtrack, the fight scenes, THE ADORABLE relationship between Papika and Cocona / Yayaka & Cocona! The character development and the fact the show is only 13 episodes long! Anyone who has been looking for an anime to watch, but can't stand anymore garbage Isekai, look no further than FLIP FLAPPERS!
It's in my top 5 List of Greatest Anime of All time! (Call me crazy!)

I first watched this anime this year in around mid to late March. While I've watched more since, this is the one show I wish I could go back in time to watch again. It's such a trip, but everything about it is lovely.

Un anime con una animación un poco simple pero que me encantó de principio a fin.
Fue el primer anime en emisión que empecé a seguir y gracias al cariño que le tengo, me veo a la necesidad de verme al menos todos los episodios cada año.
Al principio me esperaba que solo se tratase de peleas contra monstruos o cosas por el estilo, pero luego (para evitar spoilers no diré en que episodio) se empieza a poner interesante.
El final me encantó, no me esperaba algunas cosas y a pesar de verlo varias veces nunca deja de gustarme.
Lastima que es de esos animes que se pierden entre muchos otros. Me hubiese encantado ver el pasado de ciertos personajes y ver cómo llegaron a lo que son ahora (antes de Cocona y Papika).
PD: Escribir eso me dio más ganas de volverlo a ver, así que...
Yo no llamaría la animación de Flip Flappers simple, es todo lo contrario.

Haven't seen it yet but I really think the darker palette for the OP is a very interesting choice for a magical girl show. Even at the drop it feels more like they're bright in _spite_ of their surroundings rather than an actual shift in tone. It has me wanting to watch.
