Helpful. To keep the cubes of herbs and garlic fresher and from drying out, I would pop them out and put into a ziplock bag or a closed container.
I think this is the best freezer organization video I've ever seen. I have the bottom freezer drawer with two drawers inside similar to yours. It is just my husband and myself as well and this was such a great help. My husband does allot of batch cooking and portions into meal size for the two of us. I couldn't figure out how to fit it all in. Seemed like there was never enough space and it always looked a mess. After watching your video I went and cleaned the freezer drawers, which was well over due and reorganized along the lines that you did. It took about 30 minutes to complete everything. I have lots of room to spare. This has been annoying me for the longest time. Thank you so much!!!

Good video. I would also suggest writing the date and contents on the bags. I also write the date on the bags from the store. A black sharpie works.

Thank you, I have the same freezer and I learned some new tricks. Normally whatever herb or vegetable on sale that I use I will purchase a lot. And wash cut and put in freezer bags.

I love yours!!! We have a little skinny drawer on the top left side of our freezer & I tend to put things like broth or broth fixings in there, sometimes butter wrappers if still has butter on them. The big drawer on top is what we use frequently but isn’t opened yet (bottom right is open everything except veggies or fruit, open fruit & veggies on the left bottom side. It’s worked pretty well for months.

Thank you for the ideas. I too have this fridge. Today I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought the white bins. I will try to organize like you did. I gave my husband the top shelf for him. He likes to freeze some bacon, sausages and things that I don’t eat..... Wish me luck...

This may have been addressed before but ...when you do use fresh garlic, when your done just dampen your hands and run a stainless steel utensil against them. Personally I just wet a stainless knife rub the flat sides of the blade on your hands. The molecules in the steel bind with the sulfur molecules on your hands, thus transferring the molecules (along with the smell) to the metal and off from your hands. Presto! No more garlicky fingers. I have been told it also works after handling fish but have not personally tried it.

Garlic and basil come in the small jar. Buy a stand up freezer for the basement for all of your meat. Buy a vacuum package system for maximum freshness. Plenty of room for flat freeze.

I didn't! However, this fridge book and the new one we got doesn't have the same layout and I don't like it as much. The system I showed in this video worked until that fridge died.

Ha you sold me this fridge I hesitate do buy it ....VCs I am not fun if sliding freezers but this idea of flat freezing its stick with me ..let say you have your own food and packed I plastic bags ..they sometimes get odd shapes then get lost one under another ..but with this flat freezing space you can put all flat one on top of other and after day slide to container down slick and tall what will save on storage in bottom part ....I dont like have too many containers bcs you need defrost fridge ones a will and clean them ...I do that even to this self defrosting you will not belive how much dirt can get to then .
Bottom freezers are impossible to organize! The best is to keep them neat.

We are getting ice in the freezer. We don't have a water hookup. What can we do? The refrigerator went out of warranty on March 1st and we were away for almost five months and got back last Wednesday.
Hmm, I'm not really good with refrigerator repair, but if you are getting ice cubes there is defiantly a hookup, or if there is ice build up and not ice cubs then it probably needs to be defrosted. Refrigerators always seem to break out of warranty. I hope you are able to get it fixed!
