    🎧 Whoops! Looks like I accidentally made this a mono experience-audio only in one ear! 😅 Sorry about that!
    But hey, maybe it adds a unique twist to the tutorial? 😉 Hope you still find the technique useful and the content bearable. Thanks for sticking with me, one ear at a time! 🎬👂✨

    If you're lazy like me dont want to create masks with the pen tool you can use roughen edges to make the edge. Stack a few of them up at different scales.

    can you make a tutorial on how you blended the text into the texture and have this grainy style

    • @MotionCaddy
      @MotionCaddy  2 месяца назад +2

      Thanks for the suggestion! To blend the text into the texture and achieve that grainy style, I used a paper texture on top of my text and background colour layer, set it to 'multiply' and then added a 'curves' effect and played with the settings. I’ll consider making a tutorial on that in the future!

    I have watched this tutorial for the last two hours and I cannot get it. Maybe I'm missing something. It just feels like he skips a step when he starts working on the first page and it looks like he edits it in a separate composition, but it looks like the changes he makes in another composition automatically impact the image in another composition. It was just really confusing.

    If anyone is facing any problem in listening to the audio then you should turn on mono audio on your desktop or mobile.

      Annoyingly, when I recorded this tutorial my microphone recorded in the wrong channel mode meaning it only comes out one speaker. I hadn't realised until weeks later when it was too late to correct! 😅

    After making the white solid and the mask, I can see a thin white line back in my main comp of where my mask is on the white solid. How do I get rid of that?

    • @MotionCaddy
      @MotionCaddy  2 месяца назад +1

      Apologies for not including the background details in the tutorial. Essentially, I used a paper texture from Google, set it to ‘Multiply,’ and then added a Curves effect, adjusting the settings until I was satisfied with the look. I’ll consider a follow-up tutorial on this in the future. Thanks for your suggestion!

    I cant find the paper torn effect in my effects and presets

    • @MotionCaddy
      @MotionCaddy  2 месяца назад

      Hi there! If you're following along with the paper tear effect tutorial, the effect you're looking for might be the Roughen Edges effect, which creates that torn or jagged edge look. You can find it in the Effects & Presets panel by searching for "Roughen Edges."
      If you're still having trouble, double-check that you're looking in the correct panel and that you’ve selected the right layer before applying the effect. I hope this helps!
      Also, if you meant a different effect, please let me know!

      Ah, I see where the confusion is! I already had precomps set up before starting the tutorial, which is why I mentioned opening the first page (my precomp). I had two precomps: one called "First Page" and another called "Second Page." If you have a solid in your main composition, you can right-click it and select "Pre-compose," as mentioned above! Hope that clears things up. Feel free to ask if you need any more clarification!
