Thank you for pointing this out! It took a bit of time, but I figured out that I missed an expression needed in the shape layer's position when the text is center-aligned. Ah, I see where the confusion is! I already had precomps set up before starting the tutorial, which is why I mentioned opening the first page (my precomp). I had two precomps: one called "First Page" and another called "Second Page." If you have a solid in your main composition, you can right-click it and select "Pre-compose," as mentioned above! A simpler approach might be to create multiple shapes with their anchor points set in different corners. You can then switch between these shapes seamlessly depending on where you need to scale from.
