Thanks bro
You're welcome!🙏
Awesome tutorial! Would like a better explanation and break down of the final composition. How did you line up the shots and what are the markers above for...etc. Thanks! Keep em coming
The markers are the framess in the video where I wanted to freeze and show the paper frames cutout. It was highly experimental, start with a couple cutouts, and start adding more layers. Adjusting the timing. Best answer I can give you is to experiment and have fun. Try having the cutouts anywhere from 4 to 7 frames.
Awesome! Go Dodgers!
Thank you! Go Doyers!!!
Tu trabajo es grandeoso, ojalá algún día nos platiques tu vida profesional para saber cómo has crecido
Muchas gracias Alex! Me gustaria y ojala un dia podre hacer un video con mi trayectoria profesional.
Hey thanks for that one. Pretty nice style and technique - you could probably get a quite similar effect by using the 'posterize time' and a few tweaks to the mask, couldn't you? Adds more Keyframes, but keeps the comp nice and clean I guess. Let me know what you think about it. And keep them nice tutorials comming!:)
Thanks! Yes, the posterize effect will give you that stop motion feel and it's a good option to use. Definitely a quicker option. I personally prefer cutting out specific frames and holding the length to desired time. More work but I have more control and options. But at the end of the day, you're the artist and its up to you to choose which technique.
Thank you, this is what I was looking for. Any idea for animating this cut out without losing subject -may be limiting path with wiggle- ?
👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!
I really need to watch the video
This is a fun one and very easy to do!

Ok but can you give a tutorial on the whole dodgers video you did, its so good.
Thank you!! The vintage dodgers opening is using the same technique I showed in the tutorial except I repeated it many times on different freeze frames and I also added a color tint. Start with one freeze frame, then do a second, then a third, and keep doing till you're done. Hope this helps!
I really appreciate your effort. I have an Football (Nat Berhe) video project where the client says that "Make all the hits eye popping please. Maybe fluorescent lights/shaking screen" Any suggestions for this project.. Thanks
Thank you! Ask the client to send you examples. Hard to guess what they have in mind. I always ask them to send links.
Hi great tutorial. Is it possible to do on final cut pro x?
Definitely. Not sure how you can roughen the edges but you can do the stop motion and mask out the image.
can you drop the link to the paper texture please and can you do another tutorial specifically on the addidas advert thanks
Bro, i love ur video, but i have a question, how did u make the vintage opening?
Thank you Miguel. The vintage opening is using the same technique I showed in the tutorial except I repeated it many times on different freeze frames and I also added a color tint. Start with one freeze frame, then do a second, then a third, and keep doing till you're done. Hope this helps!
@@cmdelavega the old movie symbols opening?😨
@@Soymiguelcreador search for "film stock overlay" on RUclips, download and use a blending mode to composite on top of footage.
So how do you transfer the paper cut-out to the actual footage ? Im having trouble adding it to the original video
I have the same issue
yes. hope the guy can see this message. how do you put it into the actual footage then
Hey man. Can't seen to find the team logo tutorial you did
I will re-upload team logo tutorial next week.
@@cmdelavega 😁
Tutorial is up!!
@@cmdelavega you are forever amazing man. You are my mentor
Where do you get your HD videos? Seems like when I download them, they are so compressed which makes it difficult to work with.
It's a problem I run into all the time. I usually get them from the league's (NFL, MLB, NBA) or the team's official RUclips channel.
Oh ok good it’s not just me then. Dislike how I find great quality vids on RUclips but when downloading them, they’re so compressed and pixelated. Will follow your advice and check out the site. That’s for all you do!
@@ItsJustMeStevie I used this app to download from RUclips: www.4kdownload.com/products/product-videodownloader
@@cmdelavega omg thank you so much for sharing your resources. Much appreciated 🙌🏽 Will give this one a try! Gracias amigo!
Do you know how I can achieve the same effect in photoshop?
Yes. You can design the frames in Photoshop and even cut by using the timeline. I will see if I can make a tutorial using Ps.
how do you make it so the mask lines are cut strait? they automatically bend and curve for me and i can't figure out how to disable it
Click and don't hold down on mouse or pen when you make each point. You can also go back to Pen Tool and select the Convert Vertex Tool. Use this tool and click on the points to make them linear/straight.
It wasn't very detailed but let's see what I can do. But thanks for sharing
Sorry just don't understand what you mean... it was a step by step, detailed tutorial on how to do the technique. After you master that one simple technique, you simply repeat the process for the other frames. Get creative - use your imagination - add whatever text layers or grunge layers you feel like adding.
@@cmdelavega gracias
How did you close the mask? 2:50
hove your cursor to the first point you created and you'll see the cursor change to an arrow with a circle. Click and it should close.
For some reason the roughen edges fx wont work the same way in premier. It just doesn't change the image at all. Any tips?
i wish u went more in depth and didn't just stop after the first cut out
There isn't really that much after you know the main technique! It's simply repeating the effect on other frames and throwing texture, grunge or film overlays on your footage.
@@cmdelavega alright i'll keep trying
@@cmdelavega hi bro, how do you put this edit in the actual video? im confuse
Hm his is more complicated and I think may have actually made the paper.
Follow the basic technique and repeat it on different frames to create a more complex look. And paper is simply a picture I took with my camera. You can do it as well, just make sure you take it with no shadows and even lighting.
why is there a giant antisemitic slur at 0:02 in??????????
You are incorrect my friend. There is no antisemitic slur. The track is in Spanish and it says lets go dancing, what's up, whats up. I have so many Jewish friends and my Judeo Christian faith is based on the Old Testament I would never put anything even remotely close. Everyone is on edge right now, please take it easy and do your research before you post anything that is not true.
