Robin Hood-My husband commented to me the other day, after seeing that a NEW Robin Hood is coming out, that every generation takes it shot at remaking Robin Hood but our generation did it best with Robin Hood:Men In Tights. I have to agree with him, even though I'm not a fan of Robin Hood.
They did it twice.
My library sells 3 dollar blu rays and 1 dollar dvds but I mean I got Spider-Man homecoming and the last Jedi on blu Ray for 6 bucks
Picked up a Game Cube for $10 at a thrift store. With controller , PSU and A Mario party game.
Awesome find and I'm so happy to know a real movie lover/collector such as yourself was able to rescue those at a steal. Whenever I come across surprise finds I actually get high on cloud 9. It's excitement mixed with adrenaline while still questioning if I'm actually about to walk away with such a deal. About to go see my dollar movie man and hope I find something good. Take care and Happy New year 🎉
I just checked my 2008 Iron Blu ray and the Documentary is on the second disc. It may have been left out on later releases
Nice! Yep, my thrift store charges 4. 99 and up for box sets sometimes 9.99. That was a nice haul, thanks for sharing. Firme y adelante!
For box sets, if you think about it is pretty fair. $10 is approaching a limit for what a thrift store should sell it for.
Kevin Costner as Robin Hood is my favorite portrayal of the character! This is my favorite version!
Nice! Robin Hood fans unite!
I also have iron man on dvd but the disc's is in the iron man helmet. Also when I check out other video's about dvd collections it looks like that the person has brought every movie that has come onto this media.
You and cinemasickness and other RUclips movie collectors are my inspiration for movie collecting.
Thanks! We also love to talk about comics, music, books, and other media. We have hundreds of reviews and articles at CerealAtMidnight.com!
for me it is always dangerous to watch these kind of videos, because I always discover something I didnt knew excisted, I ordered the same Robin Hood complete set after watching this.. :D better go make some popcorn..
Imho, the best version of Robin Hood was the 80s british Richard Carpenter series "Robin of Sherwood". 3 seasons (or series as the Brits call them) of pure magic.
I work at a thrift store and usually I price movies at 99 cents and tv seasons at 2.99. Box sets tend to vary due to rarity but I usually still do a third or a fourth of the what the price online would be.
Brave is a great score and movie. I have the asian version collector's edition but also have now the european version for 5 bucks!
love going to a Goodwill near me, it is such a rush going through all their movies to find gems! great video
It's the thrill of the hunt! Thanks, Pauli!
Oh man, thrift stores are awesome, and it pays to go often for sure. There's a small one close to where I work, and I often go to it on my lunch break. They haven't had much lately in terms of DVDs, but about a year ago I found the out-of-print complete series of "Eerie Indiana" there. I couldn't believe it! They charge $1 per disc, so it only cost me $5, which I'm more than happy with, haha! Never heard of the Zorro series though, I'll have to look into it. Great video, man! -Jex
I still need to pick up Eerie Indiana at some point!
Hi,
In regard to Robin Hood, pickup the tv series, Robin of Sherwood recorded in the 80's in the UK. Its series 1 and 2 and brilliant from start to finish and you can get it on Blu Ray.
Peace Andy H
I had that iron man steelbook back in the day. A few years ago I brought a tub of dvds into the school I work at and just let anyone take them for free. It felt a lot better than selling them honestly. People would be asking me about them and getting excited about things they'd find. I remember the student who was so excited to take my x-men, iron man, and incredible hulk steelbooks. Never underestimate the power of giving stuff away.
This is awesome! In a world where so many people seem concerned about resale value, I love this story.
Man I was salivating at the mouth for those Robin Hood Prince of Thieves toys back in the day. I had a crush on zorros love interest as a kid. That show was awesome along with Rin Tin Tin K9 Cop.
I forgot about Rin Tin Tin K9 Cop!
I would certainly take Thrift Store hunting over Lotto Numbers any day of the week... Another excellent video sir! :)
C'mon buddy who are you trying to kid everyone knows the adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn is the absolute best Robin Hood movie
Man, you look so happy in this video. I'm jealous, i wish i had a thrift store like this around here. We have a few store that sell used dvd and blu-ray, but they do their research and base their prices on the retail value (and physical state of the disc)
kunider , same by me. Thrift Stores are a waste of time by me. They all over charge.
That sucks, guys. I will tell you that it wasn't always like this. All these deals I find are pretty new for me. The prices have dropped really drastically in the last year or so because I don't think the DVDs and Blu-rays were selling. It seems like not long ago people were selling DVDs for 4 bucks each, sometimes even 5, but no one will pay that anymore. Maybe that trend will continue in your neck of the woods soon.
Cool shirt. I found a great copy of Shadow Of The Vampire at a pawn shop
Amazing dude! Great finds!
Ah the upscale thrift store. The Zorro show was great I loved his silent side kick. I can’t believe you found them sealed. I scored the flipper Robin Hood Prince of thieves this week for $2 and best of Will Ferrell.
Nice! That flipper Robin Hood isn't the best way to watch that movie (having to switch sides like it's a record), but it's the only way to get the theatrical cut on disc. Man, I love that movie so much.
Nice haul! BTW I went to my local Big Lots the other day to check out what they had. They had a couple of things I was interested in (Dracula AD 1972 and The Love God? w/ Don Knotts) but all of the DVDs were still full price ($3, $5 and some were even $8). So I walked out empty handed.
I know what you mean. It's hard to justify full price for those movies, even when full price is only a few bucks. Hope you find some more good stuff soon!
Amazing finds! Zorro was the best
You NEED to check out a British Robin Hood TV series that ran from 1984-86 titled "Robin of Sherwood"!!! It's one of the BEST! "a combination of gritty, authentic production design w/elements of real-life history, 20th century fiction, and pagan myth", with a great musical score by the famous Celtic band "Clannad".
I don't own that 80s Robin Hood, but I'm a fan. Cereal At Midnight actually has an entire spotlight on Robin Hood, the different incarnations, and what the hero means to me. Hope you dig it! ruclips.net/video/96T2nGPYJq0/видео.html
I love my DVDs.I will never sell them.I always find great dvds.I love my Christmas collection.Ive been collecting Christmas dvds for years. My horror collection is growing more and more.Collecting dvds are so much fun.The best part of my collection is i only buy what i like to watch.I always tell people who collect dvds, buy what you like, never buy what other people like.Reason be, its a great feeling to watch what you like over and over.Peace😃👍
What a different Heath! Short hair??? It’s 2024 do you still have these films?
Damn, I need to live near you! Great finds!
As a former cashier, I would have probably charged 4 bucks for the Robin Hood boxed set, but since the Zorro seasons are all the size of a single movie case, I would have went with 2.
Nice pickups! Can’t believe they had the whole zorro series still in the package!!!
My favorite find is trick or treat dvd
If you have not already done so you may wanna check out Robin Of Sherwood. I think there might even be some episodes on RUclips.
I talk more about many of the Robin Hood film and TV adaptations here: ruclips.net/video/96T2nGPYJq0/видео.html
Can you believe I was able to get Morgan Freeman?!
those Zorro's are an awesome find, Congrats!!
I’ve got that Iron Man steelbook.

I love ure show would u know where I could get the tv series The concrete cowboys staring jerry reed keep up the good work
I don't know about a TV series of Concrete Cowboys, but the 1979 movie with Tom Selleck and Jerry Reed is on DVD through Mill Creek Entertainment. You can buy it through Walmart's website: www.walmart.com/ip/Concrete-Cowboys-DVD/54510562?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-51320962143&wl5=9012572&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=54510562&veh=sem&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyZao7dyq5AIVAp6fCh0JDwKuEAQYASABEgJff_D_BwE
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is the best. About 10 years ago I met Kevin Costner at a wine and cheese prior to one of his country music concerts.
How was he? I'm hoping he was down to earth and gracious.
He was nice, but didn’t stick around long. It was organized by a local radio station that sponsored his concert and I don’t think he knew too much ahead of time he was supposed to make that particular appearance. The concert was great, though. I worked for a newspaper at the time and that’s how I was allowed to attend.
i wanted you start singing when you talked about robin hood prince of thieves awesome
I'm saving the singing for when I talk about Robin Hood: Men In Tights.
the zorro grab was the find of the year
I think so too!
wow! you could sell those!
Great video!
Which version of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves do you prefer? Theatrical or extended?
Iron Man came out originally as a 2 disc DVD or blu-ray but quickly changed out to the one disc versions. However; the second disc with the documentary was always a DVD.
For a future video, please consider a home media room tour.
Also, if you haven’t already, check out the cinemasickness YT channel. That guy does some wild thrift store videos amongst others.
Thanks, Cameron!
I prefer the theatrical cut of Robin Hood, which I believe is only available on VHS and on the original DVD release that was, if memory serves, a flipper disc with half the movie on one side and the other half on the flip side.
Believe it or not, I used to have that original Iron Man release in the Target exclusive "Iron Man Helmet" version, but sold it when I upgraded to Blu-ray, thinking I'd never miss that documentary. I was wrong.
I will hopefully be doing a media room tour soon. It's still under construction, and there's an entire unfinished wall with stacks and stacks of messy cases just out of the camera frame in these videos.
Cinemasickness is a great guy and I love his passion.
I just found the Iron Man blu-ray 2-disc, with a 7 parts documentary on the 2nd disc (blu-ray). It sound like the documenraty you're talking about. But i'm sure that 2nd disc was quickly removed from 2nd prints. Anyway, i feel lucky to have found that edition of the blu-ray for only 9$ (canadian money)
Men in tights is the best robin hood
I like thrift store's, there fun!
They sure are!
Oliver queen is my favorite lol
Great Haul its more exiting to find great stuff cheap
Great video!! I love and collect and cherish physical Media
Damn bro I need shelves like yours in the background where did you get them at ?
I built them myself. Very cheap and effective way to store media. I’ll do a video about at some point because I have more to build, but it’s basically 2x4 verticals and, I believe, two by one inch horizontals. They’re really just frames but the DVDs stay in place and there is no wasted space.
lol thrift store by me has a fat ps3 for $130
Whaaaaaaaaaaaa?! That's insane.
Cheapest I have seen in my area has been $100.
Love finding movies at thrift stores
trick is often
It's true.
Cool pickups
Nice pick and great video!!!
Very cool score!!
My first copy of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves dvd that I owned had to be flipped mid movie. Things have come a long way.
love the t shirt escape from new york 1981 in my top 5 films off all time
Very nice. Digging Iron Man and Brave. Not really a Zorro fan, but thats quite the score. And, yup... I remember seeing the Costner Robin Hood back in the day.
I have some wacky plans to talk about my love of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves soon. Just have to carve out some time for what I want to do.
Sorry, but the 1990 Zorro stunk. I would MUCH RATHER have it be the Guy Williams version of Zorro over the other dude
I'm interested in it all. Including the 1940 Tyrone Power movie, which I've reviewed at CerealAtMidnight.com. Unfortunately, the old Disney show is not on DVD. It was available for about five minutes via the Walt Disney Treasures line, but those discs are fetching insane prices now.
The Salvation Army by me charges $2-3 for DVDs. Total rip off.
2 bucks isn't TOO bad if the title is worth it, but 3 is pretty steep for a used DVD. I think a lot of stores have dropped their prices from 2 bucks to $1.50. Seems like thrift store prices are all over the map. I went into one last week and they were trying to sell a beat up old used Playstation 2 for 70 bucks. Most thrift stores are selling them for 20! think a lot of them just pull prices out of their butts.
@@CerealAtMidnight my goodwill used to sell dvds at 1.99 and blu rays for 2.99. Now they sell both for 2.99 :(
Kevin Costner was the worst Robin Hood🤦♂️
Who's your favorite?
@@CerealAtMidnight gotta be Errol Flynn!
I’d sell that shit $$
I found a copy of willow at value village
It’s all about men in tights
