It's slowly going that way here in the UK with charity shops - basically DVDs take up space and they don't get much for them so they just stop taking them as donations (2nd hand clothes are trendy at the moment and that's where they make their cash). They've not completely stopped them but the amount they stock is dwindling. Plus not many people are buying them so they get less donated... It's mainly when collectors get rid of their collections or die...
Great pickups,it's real cheap at Goodwill bin,The Invaders was a great show very underrated television series of the 60's,it was way ahead of it's time.but The Night Of The Hunter is very underrated early movie.again it was way ahead of its time.
The Goodwills in S Florida (palm beach/ Broward) have also removed books, CDs and movies. One mgr also mentioned selling them online. So yeah, not much of a reason for me to shop there anymore 😢 Thanks for sharing.
That stinks! The reason the guy gave that people buy them for a dollar and resell them for more means they have to stop selling them entirely is silly. Why do they care what people do with them, they should be happy they made a purchase of an item they got for free. Also, people do that with every item they carry (cloths, toys, household items, electronics) and have been for decades. The term "antiquing" has probably been around since the 1950's or 60's and is basically the old school term for "flipping"
Goodwill has gotten ridiculous with their prices. They get the stuff for free and then complain when others try to make money off of their inflated prices.
I think Barbara Eden was signing photos at a convention in Melbourne Australia for $50 and she had a line up of people going back street blocks. That’s a lot of money.
@@FleaMarketFalcon we grew up with ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ so whenever a big star comes over this way we get a lot of crowds, it’s like a novelty for us to see them.

Nice pickups!! All comic cons are nothing more than a HUGE cash-grab. The prices some celebs charge is outrageous as you just found out lol. Pauly Shore should be in the $20-$30 range, and certainly not charging what he's charging now. He's not worth that and you said Corey Feldman was charging $160 for autographs?! Oh my God. Goodwill charges $3 to $4 for DVDs out here in Reno. Salvation Army charges around $2. Most of them aren't really worth much. How much does your Goodwill charge for DVDs?

On the topic of stores no longer carrying media, I noticed in January that one of my local Goodwill stores didn't have any DVDs. So I asked the cashier, and she explained to me that every Goodwill from Brevard County and south were no longer carrying DVDs. That a retailer bought them out? Could be bs, but I have checked sporadically at Goodwills since then and I've seen small handfuls here and there, but most of the time it is absolutely zero, just as in the Salvation Army in your video. Gone are the days of shelves and shelves full of DVDs at Goodwill. At least in my area. Sad to report that those stores are no longer part of my rounds. I found a lot of success for years finding collectible media at the Goodwill stores in my area. It is also crappy to hear that Salvation Army might be taking a similar route, and the man's explanation as to why in your video is even more grim.
