I love the way you replicated the look of the Stream (classic) web part. I've done something similar in a few of the Stream migrations I've done, but rather than folders, I created a multi-select choice field called "Channel" or "Topic" to accommodate cases where one video was published to several channels. For example, I had a "Workshop Recordings" channel with ALL of the recordings of previous workshops as well as separate channels for "Teams Workshops", "SharePoint Workshops", etc. This allows a bit more flexibility and prevents the need to upload the same video to multiple folders for it to appear in different "channel" views.
That’s a great idea! Multiple channel association is a tough one. I’ve heard of an upcoming feature for playlists coming soon that I hope will be an easy out-of-the-box way of building out multiple lists of videos with cross association.

Hi John, great video, What if the 'channel' isn't linked to a MS 365 group? I followed everything to that point but ours seems to just be a collection of videos in a channel unconnected....help much appreciated.

For example, if I have a video in my test site, which is in classic, is posted in a blog post, so once the stream classic is dead, do we have to change the link to the videos? Will the video disappear after the death of classic? do we have to update the link? will the blog post get messed up?
Great question! If you use the Stream Migration Tool in the SharePoint Admin then you won’t need to update any links because they’ll redirect at least until Feb 2025. Hope that helps!
Absolutely! You can add columns of metadata and use that for tagging or categorizing. Then you could use the highlighted content webpart to filter based on those tags.
I have a long video that I have added from Stream to a SharePoint page. I can get it to start at a particular point but I can't get it to stop at a particular point. I have tried the &et=1388 command in the embed code and have also tried to add it to the end of the url. ?et=1388 neither option works. Did something change with New Stream? How does this work now? Have you done, or can you do a video on this?
