Hi, I have the 2017 BMW X1 with navigation and the Harman/kardon Premium System. Would I be able to listen to music thru Android Auto using the Harman/Kardon system ? The Bluetooth connects to the I drive ?
Also is there any specific installation I need to follow to retain the Harman/kardon system ?

Response:
1. yes, you can get all the sounds of Android auto by using the Harman/Kardon system;
2. in case of Linux system, you can get the sound through OEM bluetooth;
3. you install it according to the installation video (remember to move the 2 green fiber optic harnesses to the PEMP ISO harness) and you can use your Harman/Kardon normally.
4. please note your 2017 X1 is it a NBT? Please confirm by emailing me our tech service email with the OEM master interface.

Your HUD still works the way it was supposed to.
Yes, you can listen to music from your cell phone app under Android AUTO.

@@pempcar i don’t need a CarPlay kit i want the whole android radio. No one makes a new radio for it yet unfortunately. I’ve debated on trying a f30 3 series radio since it looks similar and on the same idrive but i don’t want to spend the cash on a gamble.
