I have hundreds of X1 X360 games I can't wait to get back into, still playing, or have not finished, so being able to play many of these games at higher res better performance is absolutely worth it and the fact that going forward the X should have the best 3rd party console games, console games, console games is worth every penny to me. Not sure why as they are the same games but with higher resolution i.e. they are the same game! I honestly don't think anyone is going to spend £450 to play 4 year old games again at higher resolutions, because no matter how high the resolution it is still the same game.
The future of gaming is pretty sad if people are looking forward to the same rehashed stuff but in 8k. Fifa 22, Forxa 16, Gears 11, the same shit but in 8k yaaaaawn.

I feel sorry for the haters of the X1X. Claiming its a fake 4k console and wont be able to do 4k at 60 frames. Well not only has it already proved them wrong, KI a 900p game just got a 5x pixel boost on a machine only 4x as powerful. Ouch that must hurt.

Not my point. My point is they claim its a fake 4k console which wouldn't be able to achieve 4k and 60 frames. Guess what it can achieve 4k and hold the 60 frames quite well. Anyone expecting the X1X to boost both Res and frame rate are dreaming however haters saying it cant do games at 4k and maintain 60 are delusional.

Another great analysis. As a fighting game fan and an owner of this game, this is great news! And can I mention the awesome sound track of KI. Further, I believe Injustice 2 (an excellent game) has been earmarked for native 4k as well.
It's funny how many people could see a difference between 900p and 1080p a few years ago but now, they can't notice a difference between 1080p and 4k.
The game already looks and plays great. One of my favorite if not favorite fighting games of this generation. Can't wait to play it on my new Xbox One X when it comes out on 4K
"Years after it hit shelves". That statement might actually be true but it was about a year before the game first saw a physical release. It was initially a download only title and launched with only 6 fighters and almost nothing else. Double Helix did an amazing job with the foundation of this game on such short notice (the game only had a year's worth of dev time) and then Iron Galaxy did an ever better job in overachieving in regards to getting more characters, more modes and more features into the game while keeping the price extremely reasonable the whole time.
Can't wait for PUBG on the X!

I couldn't get a locked 60fps in KI at 4k with settings maxed until I upgraded from my old 980Ti to a 1080. Most of the people saying they've been playing at 4k60 since launch are lying. Iron Galaxy must be doing a lot of optimization to squeeze 4k60 out of a 6TF GPU.

The reason I bought (preordered) an Xbox One X is that I really don't want my 8yo daughter and 11yo son using my gaming rig (1070/i7). I like the "play anywhere" option that I can buy a game and have it on both. It's also nice that I'll be able to have a PC like experience from my couch when I feel like relaxing in front of my tv. Microsofts vision for gaming fits with my lifestyle.
Xbox one X is cheap PC that's capable of UNCOMPROMISED 4k 60. No PC that's 500$ can do UNCOMPROMISED 4k 60 because I researched and it's bullshit.
Xbox One X will be the console of the year.

I have a cheap 4k tv and there is a huge difference between my 1080p tv and 4k. Games look so much better in 4k.

What this does show is that the X is more in the RX 480 / GTX 1060 range in terms of horsepower. These people comparing it to a 1070 are really off imo.

Indeed. To put in perspective, 1070 is slightly better than 980ti. And 980ti was the flagship enthusiast GPU just a generation ago.
They're solely comparing it to a 1070 because of the teraflops but what they're forgetting is the consoles use AMD hardware not NVIDIA. 6 TFLOPS on the AMD side is an RX 480.

And teraflops alone isn't an accurate gauge to measure performance by. Memory amount, GPU IPCs and bandwidth have to play a part somewhere.

If the Xbox One X can manage native 4k with 70% plus of games, this will be good news for both PC and Xbox gamers as it will mean better textures for all those games that you can't really do when upscaling, also, it's a shame the PC version of this game didn't have better textures to begin with because if it did, they could've used them for the Xbox One X version as well.

Eh its a fighting game, i want to see more demanding games like AC Origins, Ghost Recon Widlands, Watch Dogs 2, Witcher 3, Crysis 3 and such.

What settings though i wonder? Medium? High? I doubt Ultra on those games.. AC Origins is using checkerboarding last time they check i think.. Want to see if they improved it.
I think ACO will be using dynamic resolution scale. So it's not always native 4k. As for GRW, it's maybe the same thing with ACO cause' same engine and open world (only ACO the updated version one).

Allison Christian Freitas my assumption based from the ACO gameplay footage so far and I don't think it's gonna change much. Ubisoft probably targeted it for a more stable frame rate on 60 fps. That's why DRS implemented in native 4k.

PS4 users have been so overconfident about Sony ever since M$ shit out the xbox one, they can't even handle that they're pathetic PS4 Pro has been easily outdone by the Xbone X, they refuse to believe it. Well done M$ for finally getting something right and fuck sony for getting so complacent they forgot to make their pro console significantly better than the PS4 in practice with the exception of maybe 3 games which properly utilise it. The original xbox one is shite for playing so many games at sub 1080 resolutions but the X seems to be doing a much better job on delivering genuine 4K and graphics upgrades like texture quality. As a PC gamer with an original ps4, a 360 and no xbone, the xbonex is looking pretty sweet now.
so, it's purely a resolution boost and nothing else.... something people have been saying to Xbox fanboys since day one - yet they believe they will all get 4k textures and updated effects. The only difference between the pro ad the X will be a slightly sharper image you will only see on a 4K tv.
You have to wait for games to be supported in the future. A resolution bump is a big deal once you have the proper TV, especially from 900p which is most xbox games to 4k native. Plus 1080p 60 will finally be possible.
Turniplord Well if you listen to the video you will know that the original xbox one was Already at the highest presets. So there were no 4K textures to grab some. With that said, this is the 1st game that i know of that's only a resuluton boost.

i am looking at picking this up but don't know if they fixed the vsync bug it had on higher hz monitors. it scaled game speed to hz so doubled the speed of the game. am using a 144hz monitor running at 120hz any responses would be appreciated.

You guys messed up a little, they don't look the same at all, did you even bother to look at reflections? The Xbox has none whereas the PC does, the lighting is also better on PC and the Xbox version seems to be a little blurry probably due to shitty antialiasing or lower texture quality. I don't know how you guys missed all this and then go on to say it's the same...
Fibnlly hardware comes close to emulating this old N64 masterpiece (as everyone knows, the N64 has unsurpassed, unlimited 3D power).

Yes the RX 580 ran a solid 60 fps which it was locked at with vsync or capped fps. Average would have been closer to 100+ fps because you could run this game on a switch.
4k is irrelevant because it looks the same on Xbox One and PC on ultra settings, because the game could be played on a Switch.
In the next review we will see Xbox X run Battlefield One on Ultra settings at 4k or stop talking about it.
Edit: Sorry I was a bit harsh, make it 1080p at 60 FPS. Is that worse though? I mean Xbox X avoids 1080p @ 60fps like a plague. You'll figure it out I am confident. lol
