Excellent conversation Shehzad! On natives being more aligned to nature wanted to highlight two points: 1. The Sindhi gods in pre Islamic days used to be thought as one who was born in water and he used to be prayed to when they got out in the sea and months later he used to be celebrated when they came back from the sea. And this used to be cyclical which means that they understood which season to go out and when to come back and stay on land. Points to Waqas' statement that without maths and chemistry they can say when fishes will come. 2. In the Mahabharata - the famous Hindu epic, the heroes are in exile and move from place to place. There are various stories which say that the animals in that forest used to come and tell them that please don't hunt here any more. Correlate with what you said that even when hunting natives were aware that how much to do! Sad that we are becoming modern and yet moving away! To Conquer the nature is not a colonial idea. It is an Abrahamic idea, which believes God created man to use nature. All Native Religions place Man along with nature, not above the nature.
29:34 Precisely this is the reason why Sarhad Paar people worship Rivers, Trees, Mountains, Jungles. Every river is considered as Devi and worshipped (except Brahmaputra which is considered as Dev), plants and trees have so much significance in every festival/ritual. If you see tribals they worship and protect these natural resources to another level. They have ways to thank Mother Nature and it's firmly believed that she's a goddess. Any natural fury or a calamity is considered as wrath of that goddess or god. Based on what is available in their region, things change but essence is the same.
While everyone is free to have his/her beliefs (whatever they are). What value have those beliefs when in PRACTICE rivers like the Ganges have massive environmental pollution issues
@Xulphy7 : You missed the point completely. You are free to worship whoever you want to but you need to understand that all these natural resources also create something or contribute in some way. So its our gratitude and we consider them as creators n hence gods... That's the same point being made in podcast too. Just need to open up a bit ....
@user-rh5jp2sh4s : True river pollution is a problem and has multiple factors contributing to it. But even before when these were not in this condition, places like Gangotri from where Ganga originates used to be worshipped and till today they are. Similarly.every confluence has it's significance and not to forget Kumbh Mela. These rivers are termed as 'Prandayini' means someone who gives life so rivers and all such things are equivalent to God for us...
Brother i love your podcast but a humble request if you can one day make a podcast regarding sports like why it went so down in Squash Hockey and like no support even for Arshad Nadeem who has won so many medals with almost no support.
Balochistan is to Pakistan what North east is to India... Everyone talks about it but nobody actually cares... Congratulations shehzad bhai for 200 k followers and also being the voice of the unheard... I wish we had someone like you here in India.. ( Leaving the comment below on 20th April 2024)- To all the Patriots, nationalists and Modi bhakts who have replied here on my comment... 6 districts of Nagaland with 400 thousand voters have given 'zero' vote in this lok sabha elections.
Irrelative Comparison between north east of India & baloch. Because Balochistan may be facing problem of basic facilities and other issues including being NEGLECTED IN EDUCATION & healthcare & LOW HDI whereas in case of North East , many Indians just have little knowledge of them but everything same facilities have been provided to them and they have QUITE HIGH LITERACY & health care system and HIGH HDI and is quite Stable area in all aspects.
Nonsense comparison You don’t even know the level of development taking place in north east! This obsession of comparing yourself to a jihadi state needs to stop
Odious comparison just for the sake of commenting? Have you been to North East? Baluchistan issue is that of atrocities of Punjabi army over Baloch people since 1948. NE is more or less calm after 2014. Also rapid development has taken place in infrastructure specially after Modi govt came to power.
North East problem is because of the artificial borders of Partition . For thousands of years , people of the region moved back and forth , for trade , matrimony , pilgrimage etc . And one day , a fence comes up and they are told they can't go about their normal routine . And because of Partition , they lost access to the sea and became landlocked . I don't have to stress how important is a coastline for development of a region . Whereas Balochistan is underdeveloped despite having such a large coastline as well as mineral resources .
I feel only way Pakistan can remain as one country, is by converting Pakistan into federation of states and giving states full freedom in all other matters except defense and foreign affairs, charging the states some percentage of revenue towards defense expenses and general administration costs of central government.
knowledge without understanding can be the worst curse of all and understanding without even a rats shit worth of knowledge can be the best gift of them all
Hey Manjushri is the name of a Buddhist Benevolent Diety. There is a Bodhisattva Manjushri. This means Pakistan has a rich history of Buddhism as well!
1:32:32 Okay, so the title of podcast is, why Balochistan is ignored in mainstream media, and then you go on and say, a middle class Punjabi (teacher/shopowner/farmer etc…) is to be equally blamed and why they don’t know about it 🤔 This podcast is becoming more and more Punjabi-hate platform rather than genuine criticism.
Just like in Palestinian case, we blame everyone who do not raise their voice against genoside..same in this case we punjabis have to carry this burden.
Maybe it’s because Punjabi’s are considered more resourceful & powerful than other Pakistanis. They have more sensible & rational thinking & their voices matter more than others.
@@nibbaspeaks1681 No, my point is, the title says why Balochistan issues are not raised by mainstream media. Which means, why are these issues not being made a public knowledge. Then why is a common middle or lower middle class person being blamed for something he/she doesn’t even know about. Even if some of them do, they can’t do anything about it…bcoz they don’t have any power. Palestine coverage has been really good I would say. Doesn’t matter if you open social media apps or national or international news, it’s all over it. Hollywood celebrities (which elite and upper middle class people follow) have been posting about it. So, it is a very much common knowledge! I don’t think this comparison is valid is this regard.

Shehzad it is good that you give a platform to this topic and such voices 👍 Talking of biases, in 👉59:27 you say that dictator General Musharraf was popular with the people of Karachi. Well if he was so popular there, why didn't his party APML take of in Karachi or Urban centres of Sindh. His party was a complete failure everywhere. Just to insinuate something by the fact that Musharraf belonged to one community is very wrong!
Again first of all Musharraf was a dictator so no love lost But fact is Musharraf belonged to a middle class urdu speaking family. Shahzad please don't try to be EXTRA smart, it is not only about the elite. You on purpose! said Karachi why not Lahore or Islamabad...or any other city. Just introspect and see your own biases... as we all should
Rather than assuming things or reading your own biases into what I’ve said, see all that I’ve said about Musharaf in the past, it has never been about his ethnicity. Even in this podcast we have an entire discussion on Punjab’s hegemony toh kya whataboutism about not mentioning lahore to somehow paint me as being against a specific community kahan say a raha hay?
I am not saying that you are against Urdu speaking people. NO!. But you do have a bias, there is a difference in scale. Those biases shine through when you try to make an of the cuff funny remark. There is a reason I gave a time stamp in my comment, so people can decide for themselves...
Interesting. The geography of gawadar sound almost similar to Mumbai. Except may be for population density. In such places, flooding due to rain has one huge unseen factor which is tide pattern of the sea. If suddenly huge amount of rain happens in short period during high tide the flooding is disproportionately high.
Read my answer carefully. I had said Mumbai is almost like gawadar not mumbai is gawadar. Whenever any city is surrounded on 3 sides by sea, even more than average rainfall during high tide will cause flooding. And when all the drainage channel of qawadar are blocked by construction of port etc, the flooding is going to be worse. In India in all port cities, authority announce the high tide schedule with excessive rain beforehand though to predict rainfall with certainty is impossible. But then it is foolish to compare the two countries.
Belgium hamesha theek rahega, but it would be great of we could get bit more sun here 😂 Grey skies dekh dekh kar insaan insane ho jaata hai Belgium mein. Isliye beer zyaada peeni padti hai 😂😅
Such learned guests, him and Ismat, and so extremely racist. The hatred towards Punjab in many of these podcasts is pure ignorance about the composition of Pakistan
Comment all you want but it won't change the mindset . pakistanis are obsessed with Kashmir . I had commented previously that pakistan shouldn't have rejected the South Asian motor Vehicle Agreement which would have allowed vehicles of the signatory countries to move across each other's territory . That would have helped boost trade and transport . And in response , I got comments that Kashmir issue should be the priority before any relations 🤷
@shatnermohanty6678 Well, the reason is because it is not something only propped up by the state but also because it is a genuine issue of the people. In Kashmir families have been divided since decades, the human rights abuses in Kashmir by the forces enrage people. If China would have occupied not mostly very scarcely populated area in a high desert, but an entire region with a people from India. Then the feelings in India would be on a completely different emotional scale!!! . In that environment it would also be very difficult to talk of trade in India with China. Try to switch perspectives...
@@user-rh5jp2sh4s on this channel , Pervez Hoodbhoy Sir has mentioned that the main reason why Bangladesh has overtaken pakistan in development is that they don't have a national obsession like Kashmir . Syed Muzammil has mentioned , on his own channel , that pakistan CANNOT develop it's economy without Trade with it's neighbours , both to the East and the West. Right now , it's abysmal . If you don't want to listen to the knowledgeable and rational minded people of your country , then nobody can save you .

Pashtun belt uniting with KPK or pashtunistan . As a result only division will take place.however by living within pakistan all will remain united
@@muhammadumerazhar6633 i don't know dude, pashtuns will decide themselves. dera ghazi khan city is named after ghazi khan mirani baloch & langah rulers of multan gave them their personal/state property & not punjab's the land was almost uninhabited & baloch built cities there so it belongs to baloch. people of jacobabad & kashmore will decide if they will join balochistan or sindh not sindhi nationalists.

Shahzad invite Qaiser Ahmed to your podcast. He is popular guest on podcasts these days but other hosts just nod at their guests opinion and it seems what they are arguing is correct. Your way of counter-questioning lays open the fallacies in the arguments of your guests. Commendable Job. And again do invite Qaiser Ahmed Raja😅

To Conquer the nature is not a colonial idea. It is an Abrahamic idea, which believes God created man to use nature.
All Native Religions place Man along with nature, not above the nature.

Precisely this is the reason why Sarhad Paar people worship Rivers, Trees, Mountains, Jungles.
Good work

Balochistan is to Pakistan what North east is to India... Everyone talks about it but nobody actually cares...
Congratulations shehzad bhai for 200 k followers and also being the voice of the unheard... I wish we had someone like you here in India..

Nonsense comparison
You don’t even know the level of development taking place in north east!
Thts why in india we called longest river of India Ganga as maa ganga and every day Ganga pooja happen in Varanasi

Hey Manjushri is the name of a Buddhist Benevolent Diety. There is a Bodhisattva Manjushri. This means Pakistan has a rich history of Buddhism as well!
Informative, yet depressing 😡
1:32:32 Okay, so the title of podcast is, why Balochistan is ignored in mainstream media, and then you go on and say, a middle class Punjabi (teacher/shopowner/farmer etc…) is to be equally blamed and why they don’t know about it 🤔
This podcast is becoming more and more Punjabi-hate platform rather than genuine criticism.

Talking of biases, in 👉59:27 you say that dictator General Musharraf was popular with the people of Karachi. Well if he was so popular there, why didn't his party APML take of in Karachi or Urban centres of Sindh. His party was a complete failure everywhere. Just to insinuate something by the fact that Musharraf belonged to one community is very wrong!
He was popular in the Karachi elite warna toh koi popularity nahee thee unki
Hain? Community wala element kahan say a gaya is mai boss? It wasn’t a communal comment, class par comment tha, community par nahee
Again first of all Musharraf was a dictator so no love lost
But fact is Musharraf belonged to a middle class urdu speaking family.

Not really, gwadad is like a Hamer inside sea.
How will this country survive?

First comment from India. LIKE button for demanding better relations between Pakistan and India 👉
🙌
Comment all you want but it won't change the mindset .
pakistanis are obsessed with Kashmir .
I had commented previously that pakistan shouldn't have rejected the South Asian motor Vehicle Agreement which would have allowed vehicles of the signatory countries to move across each other's territory . That would have helped boost trade and transport .
And in response , I got comments that Kashmir issue should be the priority before any relations 🤷
@shatnermohanty6678
Well, the reason is because it is not something only propped up by the state but also because it is a genuine issue of the people.
