I’ve never watch a cdrama before until I stumbled upon Xiao Zhan. I watch a lot of kdramas. However, he is one of the most gorgeous guys I have ever seen whether it be China or Asian or from anywhere in the world. His portrayal of the General is a masterpiece. No other Chinese dramatic actor can compare. Believe me, I have binge watched them all.....and Caesar Wu is amazing. The other actors don't hold a candle to him. Maybe it is the script or storyline.....but to me, Wu brings a class, authenticity, and purity to the General's character. He is in like kind to the character he played, as no other did. Watching the other dramas and characters, they were not connected to the characters they played, because they did not have the same characteristics with the character.
Caesar Wu has the same honorable characteristics with the dramatic character he played.....they are.....one and the same. That is why his acting was so authentic.

True. Caesar Wu became one with his character as the General Chu Xuiming in General's lady. Tang Min did likewise with her role. They made it so real. Some parts of the storyline could have been written better for Tang Min ( cause she was perfect for the role) but it was overall, a great drama. Looking for season 2 with their daughter and son 🤣
