Some delightful filming from Khensani and Adine, of quiet daytime forage .... Love to see Khanyisa with closed eyes as she enjoys her bottle and smells, feels Adine's face. She was then putting a lot of effort into learning how to strip bark from the tree, and Tokwe - I think, asking for a taste of milk, or perhaps just water. I love to see the close-ups of their amazing, hairy extendable trunks... Beautiful peaceful scene! I love SA; I can feel the sun, smell the bush and (imagine) the beautiful smell of elephant!
All the carers and lovely Kensani and the milk for Khanyisa🥰 haha😀 Khanyisa want give Adine a big kiss🙃 so loving. 🤩Tokwe so beautiful work hard is the best matriarch of South Africa 🥰😍💚Khanyisa is always safe by her friends of the herd and the carers. Tokwe is such a wonderful motherly figure to Khanysia. She watches her, assists her and protects her. They also share in things together. Adine I could tell when you were feeding Khanysia that Tokwe trusted you, as she didn’t pay as much attention when you were with Khanysia. That was so nice of the one carer to strip the bark for the elephants. Tokwe looks like she wants a drink. Oh good, I’m glad you gave her some.
I just love these beautiful animals and their care givers. We are so blessed to be able to follow their progress thanks to such dedicated people. I wish I were rich as I would give them a huge donation to help with their care. God Bless you all,.
I Definitely noticed Tokwe being extra attentive to Khanyisa. Khanyisa was mesmerized by the tree bark. Lundi followed up with her concerns over baby Khanyisa and back up for Tokwe. Elephants are absolutely amazing creatures, there’s so much that we can learn from them. Thanks again for sharing your lives with us. 🥰🐘💕🐑

I have much love and respect for these elephants. Without the things only they can teach Khanyisa she could never grow up to be a independent elephant.💞
This was a particularly loving, instructive & protective scenario today…a genuine pleasure to watch them stay so close to our pink baby girl, with Adine gently blowing into Khanyisa’s insistent trunk…the familiar breath she apparently needed to finish today’s formula….tho it was cute to see her so determined to eat what her Aunties were consuming. Thank you, as always, for your patient cinematography & close attention to detail. I’m bathed in bliss from watching this quiet installment…hypnotized from half a world away….medicine for the soul for which I’m so grateful…I Love you all.♥️
Today was a glorious day. It was a group effort for everyone . And khanyisa not wanting her bottle and trying so hard to get the bark off of the tree 🌳. And then when it came to the end of the day a butterfly came on Adine as a spirit 🦋. It was Fenya looking down on the herd and telling Adine thank you for loving me.🐘💞. A woman carer so fine. Yes it is the best Herd Orphanage nursery and wonderful place in Hoedspruit South Africa with Jabulani named the Jabulani Safari. It is so wonderful to see the Herd when I go to Safari. So beautiful lodge en stay in the most wonderful wildlife.I want whole my life see the elephants in Herd. Litte Khanyisa is my foster calf and I am so very glad that she is healthy happy and a big girl now. I cannot wait to see all of the elephant klaserie, Sembokwe and Tokwe matriarch of the Herd, Lundi adoptive mother of Khanisa and Limpopo and..... all the members of the Herd. Thank you all for make me happy in video and voice.
Little Khanyisa is so tenacious with that tree bark! Bless her, she keeps at it, hardly getting anything off it, but not giving up. I felt for Khensani when Adine had to take over giving Khanyisa her bottle, and hope she didn’t take Khanyisa’s fussiness too personally; when Adine is around no one less will do 😅 Another beautiful video. Thank you so much for the really detailed notes in the description too; a little overwhelming for my brain in the evening 😅 I’ll have to have another read in the morning! ❤️🐘❤️
Khanyisa is just like a human toddler. She’s used to Khensani feeding her back at home, not out in the bush. Reminds me of the time I fixed my daughter’s oatmeal and apparently reversed two steps from how her mother did it, and she wouldn’t eat it. I had to throw it out and start over, directed by a three-year old how it’s done, lol.
I love how Khanyisa lifts her trunk up to kiss Adine while she gives her her milk. Tokwe's watchful eye proves how protective the elephants are toward one another. I just LOVE watching these videos!
Love to see Khanyisa’s family close to her. It’s so humorous to see Tokwe (it is Tokwe, right?) lift her trunk and show her cute pink mouth for a taste!😀
just wow, she is teaching Khanyisa how to eat from that tree, this is beyond precious thank you for filming all of this for us who are very far away in big cities and never get to see these precious majestic beings thank you all💖💖💖💖💖
Something was definitely up when Tokwe, Kumbara, and then cool Lundi all stayed so close to khanysia. I wonder what it was??? Tokwe especially was staying extremely close, and Kumbara and Lundi picked up on that very fast.. Meanwhile, Miss Khanysia was oblivious, and wanted more bark. Interesting video. Interesting narrative. The Carers are super. Adine is the glue to this house.
Aww!! Our sweet little princess is so spoiled!! But we can’t help but do so, can we even the butterflies love her! Thanks Adine, thanks guys for a super bush walk today!!
khanyisa was more interested in bark than bottles today :) Great team work getting her to drink her milk :)I love the close loving bond the herd has especially with their little ones :)
What a treasure (one of many) to see such close up of the elephant's trunk and actually see into her snout. The information in the description is outstanding. Well done HERD team and thank you. 😊
The HERD team, imo, border on professional w/ their videos, titles & stories as well as the included educational information. It's a definite WOW factor. 👍
I love the way elephants interact with each other. I’ve seen it in other herds too. It’s just neat. Like an extended family with many aunties. And I can’t get over how gentle this gigantic creatures can be.
It’s like Khanyisa’s is saying: ‘enough milk already, I want to eat what my family is eating’. She definitely has a mind of her own; it’s good that at the nursery she doesn’t have the ‘influence’ of her herd to take her milk. Love how Tokwe & others want to know what’s exactly going on with “their” baby. 💗💗 🐘 🐘 🐑 🐑

Interesting names the Carers have. Khanyisa very sassy today. She didn’t want her bottle. Is that a good indication or bad. Adine seemed concerned. Me too. I’m glad you let her elephant Carers sample her milk. They want to know what you’re giving their young one. All of the ladies were gathered around her today. Didn’t see the Herds nurse though.
