    What an amazing video. I had no idea it worked this way. I heard about it a lot but never really looked it up. I am shook. This is so advanced. I'm so glad people are benfitting from this procedure. Way to go.

    For those who think that this procedure is "disgusting", you've never suffered the heartbreak of knowing that u can not have a child "naturally" and walk around feeling unfulfilled. First talk to someone who can properly explain how painful such a realization is, then judge if u wish. Otherwise, this is brilliant and bless the creators of IVF.

    we have to do this after 8 years of trying and nothing but failed IUI procedures down the drain. The majority of the world does not know how lucky they are to just "be able" to have kids without the emotional pain and expense and years of trying for a family of your own. Count your blessings if you have never had to experience infertility. The emotional pain outcries the physical pain anyday. Sorry but it does. You have no idea how lucky you are if you can easily have kids.

      please be careful doing so. I'm an IVF baby myself and because it'snot a perfect procedure, I was left with a lot of health issues that cannot be cured. I've also been diagnosed with survivor's guilt because the other two embryos with me died. Good luck and I hope you have healthy babies.

      "When a woman is carrying twins, one baby might miscarry early in pregnancy while the other stays in place. This situation - called a *vanishing* twin - occurs in about 20 percent of all twin pregnancies. If you're carrying *triplets, there's a 40 percent* chance that one or more will miscarry in the first half of pregnancy." Natural or IVF - survivor guilt is all the same!!! - But you better not overreact on it! and have a HAPPY LIFE! www.babycenter.com/0_pregnant-with-multiples-potential-complications_3584.bc

    My wife and I are going through this and we will need to inject approximately ~1000 needles from the beginning to the day of birth. She had 3 miscarriages so far and it seems to be impossible for her to have a baby naturally because of her bloods tendency to clot. Guys support your wifes mentally and physically if you are going through this aswell.

      I'm glad you left this comment. I completely agree, it's rude and inconsiderate of some people to tell others not to have children and just adopt. Sometimes it's a minor cause like sperm imotility, or blocked tubes, or some undetected infection or condition of the uterus which can be treated. Sometimes it's diminished egg count or quality and by temporary hormone stimulation more eggs can be released to highten the chance that one of them fertilises. I think IVF is brilliant and I hope that at some point gen tech will get to the point to use stem cells or other cells of the female body if her eggs are no longer viable.

They have the best technology and gave me peace of mind knowing that my baby would come without diseases. Most cases are treatable, do not be afraid and fight for your dream.

It has been an amazing journey and I am a proud mother of a beautiful baby girl!

  • @luckystrike656

    Although IVF it's a game changer it's a lot stressful because you go through and analyse every step.
    First stimulation to get eggs (you don't really know if they are going be good, or will you have any)
    Then fertilisation (still don't know if they are good and you don't know if it is going to be fertilised)
    Then it must grow and become a blastocyst (you don't know if it is going to heppen)
    Then transfer (no assurance that its going to implant, implant correctly or in the right place. It still can become an extra uterine pregnancy for example)
    It can implant but not all the way, then stop developing so it's a byochemical pregnancy...
    Then if everything goes well (I hope so for every couple) you become pregnant and all must go well for 9months.
    All the best to every couple out there... We are stuck for years

It is all explained really well here. You mentioned somethings that even I had no idea about. I have gone through the process of egg retreival myself when I was having my son through surrogacy.

    I cried after watching this because we are facing the possibility of having to resort to this. It's hard because it looks very uncomfortable for the woman and it induces several of the eggs at once. A woman only gets a limited number in a lifetime.
    Until you go through the pain, you will never understand what it's like.

    This 3D video is such an eye opener. Wow, am still amused. For nearly 40 years, in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment has helped millions of couples worldwide overcome a wide variety of infertility diagnose. And enabled them to realize their dreams of becoming parents. IVF helps infertile couples become pregnant by joining the egg and sperm together in an embryology laboratory where embryos are created that can later be transferred back into the woman's uterus. While most of us have heard about IVF. Many don’t know the details of the IVF process. The IVF process can be broken down into six parts from pre-cycle appointments and preparations through the pregnancy test. Whether you're just starting to research fertility treatments or are already a patient planning to begin IVF. Knowing more about the process can reduce any anxiety and help you feel more prepared for treatment. I started reading more on IVF even before I went for my procedure in Bio tex clinic.

My husband & I have been trying to conceive for Two years & was told at the age of 32 that I have endometriosis, that had caused such severe scarring in my uterus & Fallopian tubes & my chances of getting pregnant was slim. I was so devastated! If IVF is the only way I will be able to conceive and God allows it. I'm going to do it. Some of us are not so lucky

    You want to look for information on a process called Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis or PGD. It's essentially the same as you see above. Prior to the embryo being returned to the uterus a cell is removed from the embryo and tested for the disorder. Those embryos without the disorder can be implanted in the knowledge they do not have the disorder.
    I know this is done for Cystic Fibrosis for example but i'm unaware of any criteria for the procedure.

      If the nature does not give u a chance to have a baby so you are not allowed to play with evolution. Furthermore natural selection is not performed by this methods. If u help a chick to hatch, it will grow up weak. Reffering to your comment u only think of yourself but you forgot what a child will feel and think of himself when he will rekognize in which way he was created.

    • @pucaguy
      @pucaguy 8 лет назад +43

      +Dimitrij Schulz the child will realize one day how much you went through emotionally, physically, and financially to get him/her here. The fact that he/she exists is probably going to be important to him/her. There is absolutely nothing wrong with helping a couple have a child.

    • @jenniferburns7912
      @jenniferburns7912 8 лет назад +33

      +Dimas Shu This might be hard for you to hear but technology is becoming part of the evolution process. It is a great thing that we are being independent by fixing things that nature does not provide us with. Why should the human race just accept nature when we can take it into our own hands? By your logic, fertile people should have children and infertile people should just find someone else's child? I'm not saying it's bad to adopt, but if it's not bad to want your very own child, why is it bad to be assisted with it in a SAFE way?
      Also, I am an IVF baby. I have never felt like I wasn't loved or unworthy. I'm not saying I'm proud to be an IVF baby but I'm definitely not ashamed. I'm not proud because it's sad how some parents who are the most capable are unable to have children. I am happy and loved. I don't need ignorant people to tell me otherwise. Technology is giving people hope to things they thought they'd just have to accept.

    IVF isn't only for infertile couples. I have a son who we was diagnosed through his newborn screen with Cystic Fibrosis. We had no history or indication that we were both carriers for the disease and have a perfectly healthy daughter who is genetically fine. Our son is going to die, not only from the CF but from some heart defects he has as well. IVF is a means for us to have more children without having to watch them die.

      I know that. I meant after. I have heard that during the recovery, pains can get very harmful. I have an acquaintance that underwent IVF and she began to develop a lot of other conditions. She gave birth 18 months ago, and she still having strong pains. That's mainly what scares me the most... Plus that I have Endometriosis, I think that that increase the possibilities. Maybe I'm just too nervous...

    • @ricardochacon8522
      @ricardochacon8522 7 лет назад

      Well, that's not quite like that. Certainly there could happen to be some negative effects after it. Like the example you put of pains. But in that case it depends more in the quality of the intervention itself. Thus I have the urge to ask you. In what clinic and country does the person you know underwent the treatment. Now that's alarming. Mosts of the proven effects are regard to the use of hormones. IVF's treatments do use a heavy amount of hormones. That why people always tell that the hormones part is half of the whole treatment, because is just like that. Basically of estrogen and progesterone. That can indeed make you feel weird and feel some pain, it's normal. But there's the thing, that is meant to occur even BEFORE being inseminated. Every other pain that occur during pregnancy not related to it and after giving birth has more accurately to do with the intervention to inseminate the person. If is just as what you say, it worries me a lot for your friend :/. She should go see a doctor to see if his pains are products of damage to her ovum during the intervention.

    A 66-year- old single church pastor from a small village in Graubünden, Switzerland became the country’s oldest mother when she gave birth to twin boys a few weeks ago. She gave them biblical names, Michael and Joshua.
    The mother traveled to Ukraine for IVF treatment in BioTexCom Medical Center in Kiev and made a fertilization, which is not available to old single women in Switzerland, also the egg donation is forbidden.

    IVF in USA be aware: it will cost about $15K plus the medication will be provided by a separate source and it will cost $5K-7K.
    If you go abroad Europe is a good choice (better equipment and doctors) and the cost is only about $1K for each the procedure and the medication. It can be slightly more expensive depending on the country.
    If you have a choice don't do it in the US. You are making clinic owners, doctors, nurses and pharmacists rich. Just circumvent the whole US medical scam system.

    then the IVF cycle fails and you start again. compared to IUI, which has about a 20% success rate at best (which is about even with healthy couples who are trying "naturally"). IVF has about a 50% success rate, depending again on individual characteristics (like the reason for infertility) and then things like assisted hatching and ICSI as well as waiting 5 days instead of 3 before implantation can make a difference. If cycle one fails, more cycles are an option.

    First of all I'm not saying all people in general should have kids at 20, but im not anything that's not true. Look it up, age does have a factor in fertility. After your 30 your eggs start decreasing. I know sometimes its a health problem and even when you're young you can't conceive but that's a different issue. But why do you get mad at the fact that I'm saying age plays a factor, an ob/gyn can tell you that.
