Doesn’t it just, glad that came across as that’s exactly what we thought from the day and everything is so relaxed which the horses respond to so well x
What a wonderful vlog ❤ owning my own ex race horse I so wish that mine had had the start that William is giving his. Such a treat to watch and learn from the master!
I ride racehorses for a living in NZ and its great to see you guys promoting them for a life after racing, they really are so versatile and smart. We do a lot of dressage and jumping on ours to so was great to watch!
So wonderful! I've had the pleasure of meeting William twice in South Carolina. Such a wonderful person and so kind! This was so interesting. I love how they wait for the TB's to mature in the UK. I wish the US would start doing the same! And I love how you set them up for a future career 👏 👏👏👏! Ours start racing at 2, so they are started at 1 1/2 years of age. Way to young and no where near physically ready. It really takes a toll on their joints. ❤❤❤ Thank you for this opportunity to see behind the scenes of not only a legendary rider but alsoa peak into the sport of racing in the UK. ❤❤❤ Well done!
Very apparent how aware William is of his mindset and the importance of the words you use towards the sport / tracks etc! So great to see! Lucky girlies 🎉
What a great vlog. William just seems to do everything so effortlessly. There was a flying change there you would have missed if you weren't watching closely. His comment about race horses being in a herd, and eventers going alone was very thought provoking. Absolutely true and something to think about when retraining. Wonder how Ember would go on in Williams hands for a week! 😊 .
Thanks so much! It was a pleasure to watch him ride and listen to his wealth of knowledge. Totally agree everything was effortless & all in such a relaxed manner x
@MissJools11 thank you for being so succinct with your hash tag! (You might have to look up what that means ). I never mentioned William riding Ember, I just said it would be interesting to see what he would do with him. Sorry Emily, you have followers who make such stupid comments.
Having worked in racing for 20 years and re school about 15 racehorses to be riding horses I really enjoyed this vlog 👍 good job. In my experience the main benefit to starting racehorses ‘properly’ (so teaching them everything William was explaining) is soundness, it without doubt helps keep the wheels on for longer. The best prevention for injury is a balanced supple even way of going and to engage their core, as William said about the jockeys it’s the same for the work riders there is only so much you can do with short stirrups going at speed in a straight line! I’m currently re training one but he’s for keeps! I’m hoping to give eventing a go I have been watching your vlogs since I re homed him, I'm completely hooked… between all you ladies vlogging I could actually get rid of my tv 😂 x
Love that William has remembered that awful stables bend at Chepstow, wonder who he's backed that's run out wide round that bend when in contention! 😅 Lovely vlog, WFP is the master 😊
I grew up watching Willam as a young girl! He still looks like hes riding a pony than a horse as hes so Tall 🤣 What a great day you lovely ladies have had!!! Awesome video!!!!! xxxxx
Parklane Hawk was a NZ Thoroughbred, he briefly raced in New Zealand. He then evented in NZ with a rider called Matthew Grayling, He won a National Title at 3* (now 4*) and was sold to one of Williams owners and went on to win Burghley 5*!
@@emdeventing He certainly was, I was the National Three Day Eventing Championships when he won his National Title, he was then sold from underneath Matthew Grayling and left NZ for the UK. Also Parklane Hawk's sire Grosvenor was well known for producing Eventing Horses, if you had a Horse sired by him, you knew it was going to jump!!
Love this and great they get this wonderful start and chance to mature first! My exracer had already raced, retired and was with me as a just turned 4yo🥺🧡
So lovely to see Tina and Emily blogging together again with a special experience of going to see William's amazing yard with so many lovely horses.

Ember is way too small for William to ride.
@@MissJools11 oh I realize that. It's just his knowledge and training skills that would be interesting to watch.
@@sarahcooper3378 Why say it then? #Dumbarse William is way taller than Lucy!!
