Set list: 1.Darren wharton intro keyboard solo 00:13 2.Abandon 01:03 3.The raindance 05:13 4.Nothing is stronger than love 10:18 5.Vinny Burns solo (Eruption 2) 15:33 6.Heartbreaker 16:52 7.Runaway 21:01
Fantastish play on keytar-sing!! Play!! Very cool song! Sound! Solo on keytar on guitar!! Magik the band!! Dare!! Rock n roll!! Magik melodic music!! Songs!!
Rosa Azon Portales Better in my opinion - Norom had to be the bloody loudest, killed their live shows - he's still as bad now the big-headed fuckwit. Tempest wrote or co-wrote almost everything yet the lead ripped through everything even playing rhythm.
AkubraBromptonGirl Yeah before half the set was recorded too! Now it's all like the bands play along to their recordings like anyone can do. Nightwish - love 'em but 120 tracks per concert??? WTF?? If you can't play it live then you can't play it.
Proud to say I met the band back in 1989 when they play Derby Rock House. My most treasured moment when Darren spent the intermission standing near the bar with his arm around me . Still play this album on a regular basis.
I've just been to see them live last week , what a brilliant night and they sounded just as good as this brilliant video, enjoying watching this , Darren took my mobile while I was videoing from front row and filmed us in the audience 🤣
I watched this from start to finish and enjoyed every moment. Brought back memories of attending the live show in Oldham in 1989. Thanks for posting. I'm going to share!
If this is the gig I'm thinking off, I was there. Dare were supporting It Bites, but I think this was a one off TV special and not a tour date for either band. There was another band playing that night too. I think they were The River City People, who were ok, but not really rock at all.
I've just found this, and think it's great! I was alway's a massive Thin Lizzy fan, and no wonder why in later years's they didnt bring Darren Wharton to the front of the stage to sing? I suppose if they had we would have not had Dare. I was lucky enough to see them at The Riverside club in Newcastle back in the 1989 (the same tour Id guess?)and they were fantastic, but like in this video I dont think the crowd understood what they were watching. The band were really tight and I think Vinny Burn's has a superb tone. His name should be up there with other guitar great's. Im now introducing the sound of Dare to my neighbour's with the benefit of a big TV (visual for me) and a good TV sound system for them.
Dixie Thedog Yeah it's like Def Leppard stole all their thunder - Dare shoulda been massive, I mean, Lemmy chose the name lol - what better endorsement - although he did tell Lars to go form a band too and he's the crappest part of them.

Great to see Prof. Brian Cox in his previous life of stardom on the keyboards :-)
His hair :D

although he doesnt like being there...silly sod. more or less told to leave dare cos he always played jokes but couldnt take one himself!
And d/ream
What the hell? This is suck mediocre music
Extraordinary and underrated band.Their first album and tour were pure Magic
Their first album 'Out of the Silence' was incredible. A genuine classic piece of music.
100% Agree!!!!
Man, that drum sound!
Dr. Brian Cox on keys, plus a guitarist whose playing could totally pass for Neal Schon 🤘
Addendum: they even kinda sound like a British version of Bad English, without a proliferation of overly-sappy ballads 🤪
Can't believe that's Brian Cox on the keys! Great gig great band
Perfect voice, music and performance! AOR forever!
Fantastish play on keytar-sing!! Play!! Very cool song! Sound! Solo on keytar on guitar!! Magik the band!! Dare!! Rock n roll!! Magik melodic music!! Songs!!
Vinny's musicianship and sense of melody is superlative.
Superb. The 80s were the best. And Britain had some excellent bands then. Seeing professor Brian Cox there on the keys is brilliant. Haha.
swietny koncert oraz super piosenki oraz wspanialy zespol dare
So Glad got to hear this band from supporting Europe
Phenomenal band, their first two albums are rock classics!
Fantastic ! Unique ! Amazing !
I really like the song “Abandon” - the first song in this video.
Darren Wharton has the sexiest voice, along with Claus Lessman from Bonfire 😍😍❤️❤️🤘🤘
Vinny Burns - great guitarist
I saw Dare in Spain in 1988 supporting Europe and were so good as them.
Rosa Azon Portales Better in my opinion - Norom had to be the bloody loudest, killed their live shows - he's still as bad now the big-headed fuckwit. Tempest wrote or co-wrote almost everything yet the lead ripped through everything even playing rhythm.
what an amazing band...christ it puts chills down my spine how awesome they are
I was here for this one ... It was ROCKING !
The best rock band ever!!!!!!! Watched them live all the time :)
AkubraBromptonGirl Yeah before half the set was recorded too! Now it's all like the bands play along to their recordings like anyone can do. Nightwish - love 'em but 120 tracks per concert??? WTF?? If you can't play it live then you can't play it.

Me too, NEC. It was April 1989, my first live gig, I was 19! What great a era to be growing up in, how I miss those amazing days!

Amazing voice, amazing sound. Cool band.
I've just been to see them live last week , what a brilliant night and they sounded just as good as this brilliant video, enjoying watching this , Darren took my mobile while I was videoing from front row and filmed us in the audience 🤣
Wow, you guys were pretty good! And then the keyboardist goes on to discover many secrets of the universe.
Check out 'Under the Sun' from the first Dare album, Out of the Silence, coolest most haunting song ever !
Edsplectrum Its amazing isnt it!
こんな映像観れるなんて最高!
I watched this from start to finish and enjoyed every moment. Brought back memories of attending the live show in Oldham in 1989. Thanks for posting. I'm going to share!

Phenomenal 😍🔥
Mr. Cox! We need the reunion!
Que gran banda... Lo que suena!!!
Massively underrated - wrote some incredible anthemic and timeless rock. Still got his voice too old Darren!

I saw them in Budapest in 1989. They were better than the main attraction, The Europe :)
MAS QUE EXTRAORDINARIOS. SUBLIMES.
awesome! Great musicians, great show. I saw them in Rotterdam, supported Europe. Good memories of it!
Thank You so much for this video! I'm always glad to see rare videos melodic hard rock bands!
3.48 Brian cox surrounded by keyboards. Now surrounded by BBC executives and loads of money. Fair play. Things only got better💰💰

Tight little ass also 👍
can't wait to see them play with Scowl this year
Aor rules!!!
Grande dare
Simple fools in the audience dont know the pure joy and astronomically rare experience they are viewing. How. Lucky.
Was this the gig where they supported It Bites? It was the same venue and I think the same year.
*ESTÁN UTILIZANDO LA REPRODUCCIÓN. GRACIA PERDIDA.*
Top performance, but a little bit frozen crowd.
They look dead honestly.
Part
One?
The crowd looking distinctly whelmed.
I know right....miserable uncharitable sods;)
Was this the band Richie from MAFS was in?
Sure was, awesome band!
Why doesn't Brian Cox mention Dare he always mentions D reem
Hot
Brian Cox brought me here
Are the crowd asleep?
What kind of keytar is that that Darren is playing? I've never seen one like that before.
Brian Cox's Solar System brought me here
Brian Cox - WHAT A HOTTIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the crowd is dead.
Alan White Yeah what a shit bunch!
