I have Soul Calibur 6 and let me tell you it's one of the most fun and exciting games I've ever played and I even completed every single character stories to add some more detail. I would absolutely love to see Soul Calibur Vll come out and my only wish is that the game includes every single Soul Calibur character from the precious games and also add new character creation options like more faces, more hairstyles and also gives us even more deeper stories for each character to make us want to be on the edge of our seats!!!!! :) let's continue to give Soul calibur the love it truly deserves :)

I remember watching a video of people playing this game when it first released and I thought “that game looks cool”. And then moved on. But for some reason I never forgot the name of the game. Years later I see ‘Soul Calibur VI’ in the online store. I remember the name and wonder where I have seen the game from before. I watched the trailer and it clicked that this was the game I watched years ago. This was a week ago and now I love this game so much that I hope that there is a seventh instalment. ❤
I’m also Optimistic for a new SC for some reason, unlike most in the community. And I think SC6 is better than 5 due to 5s lacklustre moveset, I hope that more moves will be added to my favourite characters like Cervantes and Raphael and I hope SC will get more love in the future
I think SC6, as far as the Combat goes - is the best game we've gotten since SC2. Maybe it's because I main Mitsurugi and Ivy, but the ability to rack up insane combos in SC6 is unmatched through the rest of the series imo.
I know im dreaming big but if it can look as good as tekken 8 its going to be difficult to not excite people when those trailers come out. Personally i think every SC lives and dies by its single player features over its multiplayer and competitive scenes so if it can give us a story fans will care about, some one to root for/ against i think that'll be a big key to its success

SC7 will definitely be justified with T8’s success. Before, T7 was making good money but there wasn’t much to say it was worth making a fighting game and competing against a lot of challengers. With the standard having gotten higher, it justifies this gem having another chance.
If SC is truly on the way out for good, I just want an Armageddon type SC7. Everyone is here plus every Soul style possible. Go out with a bang of a story at least a 1 and a half cinematic plus the same for in game renders. Everything possible for customization. Leave us with something that can stand as the end for 15 years and possibly go into 8 based on sales
Soul Calibur 7 would probably play off of that ending in SC6 but I thought of a possible way they could do one set after 5. SC5's story suggests that it might be the last in the Soul Calibur timeline. But with characters like Sophita, Pyrra, Patroklos, Ivy, Cervantes and Yoshimitsu still having the power of Soul Edge either within their blood or carries a weapon made using a piece of the weapon (or in the case of Kilik having the souls of Soul Edge sealed inside of a staff). They could easily do a story with those characters as the focus. Maybe Nightmare or a Nightmare follower is trying to use those with Soul Edge in their blood to revive Nightmare and Soul Edge. It's been a while sense I played SC5 so I probably misremembered something about the stories ending. But I still think this idea could work for a future Soul Calibur game. I also like the idea of maybe further tying the slight link Soul Calibur has with Tekken. I mean Yoshimitsu still exists in the Tekkan series through his descendent. So maybe show another character that can be seen as a connection to Tekken.
Hoping they experiment with Create-A-moveset, like chaining animations together for players to actually create their own movesets instead of just selecting from the roster of characters. I dont expect it, but hoping they at least bring back "generic" weapon styles/movesets like we had in 3. More armors, faces, voices, more everything is always welcome. Would also like to see a Weapon Creator with the ability to Custom Wield things, such as choosing to have a sword be used backhand style like Starkiller. Just some ideas.
SC6 was a success, yeah it's not the biggest FG franchise, but it's one of the iconic ones below Tekken and Street Fighter, holds a unique position as a 3D weapon fighter (hardly any 3D fighters in the first place), has a consistent competitive scene, and is loosely connected to Tekken. There were some things I disliked about SC6 but it was a big step up from 4 and 5, and promoted way better than 3 was. If they give a bit of a bigger budget with some solid direction, it'll surpass 6, especially if they can get it on all 3 consoles (switch 2) (and PC maybe with (timed?) platform exclusives (that may or may not end up being allowed competitively in tournaments).
I enjoyed all the SC games. SC was my favorite fighting game. 3D fighting is how fighting games should be MK had that on the PS2 titles that then stepped backwards to downgraded back to 2D fighting. Hopefully VII comes!

I love Soul Calibur. It would be nice to have SC 7. However, I recommend that Namco would introduce new generation of characters rather than the same ones. I would also like to have tag team matches. I also like the gender bender creations.
my only concern about a SC7, we didn't get the 3rd DLC for 6. 6 was supposed to have 3 sets of DLC, we only got 2. The third DLC pack was supposed to have Viola, Dampierre, Scheherazade, and some of the characters from 4 making a comeback. If they do make a 7th one, I hope they include the characters from the planned DLC 3 in the base roster.
one thing that bothered me about 6 is that lizardman is in the game but not a character... possibly planned for later in the lifecycle or unfinished but would have been nice since he's in most of the games
If it wasn't clear already. They stopped producing DLC for SC6 because Tekken just ended it's content run and They wanted to Focus on the Development of new Installments. So They pulled Season 3 of Soul Calibur 6 to instead work on Soul Calibur 7. Bandaid renewed the Soul Calibur licence. That means they have plans. It's just a matter of time. I hope SC7 revamps character creation and get rid of all those new mechanics that ruin the flow of the game especially the rock paper scissors mechanic. Also I loved soul caliber 4 and 5 I loved that each game felt more modern. Sc6 tried to be like sc2
SC7 needs improved graphics, a new engine and a way bigger budget. Fully voiced in-engine and pre-rendered cutscenes for the story. No more static PNG bullshit. No one wants to read a wall of text. Game also needs a beat em up mode and some mini games. A killer soundtrack and a more serious tone.
There are a handful of problems with SC. Character customization ruins the game and makes head to head matches locally or online a shitshow. Secondly, although the load times of VI are better than 5, it's still horrific. Couch multiplayer (console head to head) is disastrous as it having to wait through load times as well as each character's stupid schtick gets monotonous before every fight. Just bring back 8v8 from SC2 and get to the fighting. There were modes that have been in the actual arcade editions of the game that would work now with better connection speeds. Finally, what is preventing Namco from opening up the Soul Calibur battlefield to legitimate 2v2, 5v5, 20v20 arenas. That would add a new dimension or even a 10 player battle royale (w/cheese)
I wanna say I played 5 all the up till 6 was released, I don't play 6 much anymore, alot of things about 6 tick me the heck off, mostly game mechanics and the online experience.
What exactly about the game mechanics ticked you off? I'm not challenging you I'm just genuinely curious because I have my own complaints too. RE needs to go immediately, it was a nice attempt at something new but it was glorified "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and ultimately just became a bail out and combo disruptor.
@@TheLandiLodge My issue's was RE, yea you can deal with it, there are several ways but it's too disruptive to the flow of combat, Soul Charge state because I didn't like so many good moves locked behind meter and as for online, the ranked matchmaking I thought stunk, there was/is no filter meaning at sprout rank you can still get matched against a top rank player even when the game had a health population.
I’ve got to almost if not absolutely agree. I even recently rebought a PS3 primarily to revisit SC5 (and secondly to be old and enjoy a variety of PS2 games, including SC3) and barely play SC6 - also due to lackluster experiences with almost every Ranking attempt, as well as RE (a seemingly interesting concept before the game was released, that took me about 6 months or less to *_ABSOLUTELY DESPISE AND VOW NEVER TO LOWER MYSELF TO USE_* ) and the combinations of Soul Gauge and the attempts at various (yet unbalanced in my opinion) gimmick additions. Locking SO MUCH behind such a tiny opportunity of time was VILE, especially depending on the character. To me, bringing back Brave Edges would be a smarter decision.
SC3 is the best of them all, the franchise declined, then all the DLC BS... poor stories... feels less worldwide warriors fighting. etc! The magic disipated... Stopped having fun with SC IV. and SC IV felt Unfinished!
soul calibur 6 was almost a good game, but what ruined it for me was the annoying overpowered characters like azwel and that anime style turd groh and of course reversal edge being the cheapest most annoying mechanic in soul calibur history.

We shall see my friend. 2 seasons of DLC certainly can't be ignored. It's proven to be a profitable venture, its just not a priority for Bandai Namco which is why I think the earliest we see it is likely 2024.
They were against it because of Soul Calibur 5's massive failure. Soul Calibur 6 fixed it and restored a lot of faith. They knew that SC6 was still lacking due to it's low budget development and decided to rather move on to SC7...To build on what they already have. Soul Calibur7 will happen. It's only a matter of time.
SC6 had some of the best sales numbers in the series as well as 2 seasons of DLC and numerous collabs and guest characters. SC4 may have sold more, but between a lower budget amd 2 seasons of DLC SC6 was likely more profitable
give me a sc4 remaster ill it will make my day i have no hope for this series. sc5 and 6 was pure dump down trash. guard impact system in 4 was perfect i don't get why they ruin it in 5 and 6, sc4 also had parry and the parry and impact was directional u had to know when to perform it from high middle or low i don't like how now a simple impact cover everything its make no sense just guard was great addition from sc5 idk why they remove it . i don't like the soul charge system that lock move that u should be able to do normally at anytime lock behind it that a straight up indictor of ppl seeing you coming the element of Suprise is dead . don't get me started with the range in sc6 witch is pure bs no balance whatsoever . the reversal trash easy to avoid but still annoying as hell dragging the fight longer than it should. they should stop messing with character move set instead of removing some or cut down the move list do it like teeken they add new stuff only in tekken character i m kilik player and the asura dance in sc4 was prefect in 6 is trash u have to do the pole stance before u do it with is before u could do it straight away Jesus Christ people see you coming

In terms of playability - SC is the best fighting game out there…the 8 way movement and the weapons movement is the best, bar none.

I think they should use Sc3 Bonus Characters Too. A Non Bonus Abelia Moveset could Rock and Also a Playable Strife as Well.
one thing that bothered me about 6 is that lizardman is in the game but not a character... possibly planned for later in the lifecycle or unfinished but would have been nice since he's in most of the games

If it wasn't clear already. They stopped producing DLC for SC6 because Tekken just ended it's content run and They wanted to Focus on the Development of new Installments. So They pulled Season 3 of Soul Calibur 6 to instead work on Soul Calibur 7. Bandaid renewed the Soul Calibur licence. That means they have plans. It's just a matter of time. But thanks for keeping the Soul Calibur discussion alive.
I hope SC7 revamps character creation and get rid of all those new mechanics that ruin the flow of the game especially the rock paper scissors mechanic. Also I loved soul caliber 4 and 5 I loved that each game felt more modern. Sc6 tried to be like sc2
SC7 needs improved graphics, a new engine and a way bigger budget. Fully voiced in-engine and pre-rendered cutscenes for the story. No more static PNG bullshit. No one wants to read a wall of text. Game also needs a beat em up mode and some mini games. A killer soundtrack and a more serious tone.
And the stage OST needs finishing themes like Mortal Kombat rather than the default "You Win" theme
Sc3 I think was the Perfect Sc3 for Story and I liked Actually Seeing Siegfried Fight Nightmare as Opposed to Sc4 Just Teasing it.
I think they should deal with the music problem, I don’t know why but ever since 4 the music is hard to hear compared to previous games

There are a handful of problems with SC. Character customization ruins the game and makes head to head matches locally or online a shitshow. Secondly, although the load times of VI are better than 5, it's still horrific. Couch multiplayer (console head to head) is disastrous as it having to wait through load times as well as each character's stupid schtick gets monotonous before every fight. Just bring back 8v8 from SC2 and get to the fighting. There were modes that have been in the actual arcade editions of the game that would work now with better connection speeds. Finally, what is preventing Namco from opening up the Soul Calibur battlefield to legitimate 2v2, 5v5, 20v20 arenas. That would add a new dimension or even a 10 player battle royale (w/cheese)

I wanna say I played 5 all the up till 6 was released, I don't play 6 much anymore, alot of things about 6 tick me the heck off, mostly game mechanics and the online experience.
What exactly about the game mechanics ticked you off? I'm not challenging you I'm just genuinely curious because I have my own complaints too. RE needs to go immediately, it was a nice attempt at something new but it was glorified "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and ultimately just became a bail out and combo disruptor.
@@TheLandiLodge My issue's was RE, yea you can deal with it, there are several ways but it's too disruptive to the flow of combat, Soul Charge state because I didn't like so many good moves locked behind meter and as for online, the ranked matchmaking I thought stunk, there was/is no filter meaning at sprout rank you can still get matched against a top rank player even when the game had a health population.
I’ve got to almost if not absolutely agree. I even recently rebought a PS3 primarily to revisit SC5 (and secondly to be old and enjoy a variety of PS2 games, including SC3) and barely play SC6 - also due to lackluster experiences with almost every Ranking attempt, as well as RE (a seemingly interesting concept before the game was released, that took me about 6 months or less to *_ABSOLUTELY DESPISE AND VOW NEVER TO LOWER MYSELF TO USE_* ) and the combinations of Soul Gauge and the attempts at various (yet unbalanced in my opinion) gimmick additions. Locking SO MUCH behind such a tiny opportunity of time was VILE, especially depending on the character. To me, bringing back Brave Edges would be a smarter decision.

SC3 is the best of them all, the franchise declined, then all the DLC BS... poor stories... feels less worldwide warriors fighting. etc! The magic disipated... Stopped having fun with SC IV. and SC IV felt Unfinished!
I liked Critical Finish and I think Sc Broken Destiny was a Great Game too.
soul calibur 6 was almost a good game, but what ruined it for me was the annoying overpowered characters like azwel and that anime style turd groh and of course reversal edge being the cheapest most annoying mechanic in soul calibur history.

bandai namco was against making soul calibur 6, i highly doubt they will continue the series regardless of how soul calibur 6 sold

It's proven to be a profitable venture, its just not a priority for Bandai Namco which is why I think the earliest we see it is likely 2024.
They were against it because of Soul Calibur 5's massive failure. Soul Calibur 6 fixed it and restored a lot of faith. They knew that SC6 was still lacking due to it's low budget development and decided to rather move on to SC7...To build on what they already have. Soul Calibur7 will happen. It's only a matter of time.

Honestly they were disappointed with soul Calibur 5 and 6 I highly doubt it's going to be a soul Calibur 7
SC6 had some of the best sales numbers in the series as well as 2 seasons of DLC and numerous collabs and guest characters.
SC4 may have sold more, but between a lower budget amd 2 seasons of DLC SC6 was likely more profitable

give me a sc4 remaster ill it will make my day i have no hope for this series. sc5 and 6 was pure dump down trash. guard impact system in 4 was perfect i don't get why they ruin it in 5 and 6, sc4 also had parry and the parry and impact was directional u had to know when to perform it from high middle or low i don't like how now a simple impact cover everything its make no sense just guard was great addition from sc5 idk why they remove it . i don't like the soul charge system that lock move that u should be able to do normally at anytime lock behind it that a straight up indictor of ppl seeing you coming the element of Suprise is dead . don't get me started with the range in sc6 witch is pure bs no balance whatsoever . the reversal trash easy to avoid but still annoying as hell dragging the fight longer than it should. they should stop messing with character move set instead of removing some or cut down the move list do it like teeken they add new stuff only in tekken character i m kilik player and the asura dance in sc4 was prefect in 6 is trash u have to do the pole stance before u do it with is before u could do it straight away Jesus Christ people see you coming
