Really enjoyed the first part, but the second part not so much. I completely disagree with him on "therapists" and "therapy approaches". More often than not, therapists and psychiatrists, don't have a clue. Nor, do they know how to identify the narcissist from the narcissist's victim (those are the ones who typically goes for help- AFTER being narcissistically injured - repeatedly by the narc). Maybe Otto does, but most certainly do not.
I disagree. I find that therapists are keenly aware of the plight of the co dependant. But the co dependant needs to be aware that they are masochistic.
After experiencing the astoundingly astute Dr. Kernberg, it is very difficult to listen to any other psychologist below his elevated caliber. All others come off as amateurish and rudimentary by comparison.
