this is from the album after Sgt Pepper.. Magical Mystery Tour... but they are the Sgt Pepper outfits.... they are not pirate outfits... they are outfits for an old-style marching band.. which is what Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band was referencing
The Beatles recorded all their albums in 7 years. They were all under 30 when the band broke up.
Exactly.
And STILL the best-selling artists of all time 🤯
Since Gabe loves heavy stuff, you should show him I Want You (She's So Heavy).
You should play 'I Am The Walrus' for Gabe. Love to see his reaction...
They need to find the complete song. A lot of the videos and reactors look at the one that cuts out before all the ending when it really sounds insane. Lol
Just joyful music. Love it.
❤😊 Beatles are forever ❤😊
These are the Sgt Peppers outfits but this song came out in November 1967 after Sgt Pepper, it appears on Magical Mystery Tour which is the album after Sgt Peppers... Yeah cheezy video I agree. B Side is I am the Walrus.. It's a Pretty Fckn good B Side
The Beatles did consider calling it " Yellow Bus " but realised it didn't scan very well! True story.😊☺
Crazy ! Gabe, you’re just excitable 😂 Sgt Peepers was a turning point, not just for the Beatles, but for the music industry & the world. I appreciate the whole McCartney ‘ died in an accident’ thing, but I wouldn’t read to much into that. However, the conspiracy of reading more into the lyrics surely comes from the creature, Charles Manson & his infamous evil followers, suggesting, at some point that the Beatles white album had messages about the ‘uprising’, with Manson suggesting that Helter Skelter, was the track that inspired him to be who he was & to ‘follow a path…’
Yellow Submarine was made as a children's song. You can't take it in the context that it was a song put out there as a serious song.
Sgt Peppers is where the "Paul is dead" started. In one of the photos in the album three are facing the camera but Paul has his back to the camera. In "A Day In The Life" there's the lines "he blew his mind out crash, he hadn't noticed that the light had changed". There had been a worldwide Paul McCartney look alike contest and the winner was from Toronto Ontario Canada. In one photo Paul has a badge with OPP on his jacket. It's the badge of the Ontario Provincial Police. And the Paul died and was replaced by a look alike was born.
That said, George played the sitar two albums before Sgt Peppers on Rubber Soul (1965) in the song Norwegian Wood. That album marked the direction change of the Beatles where they really started to experiment more in their song writing, recording, and instrumentation. Revolver (1966) took that even further and then Sgt Pepper (1967) was Paul's idea and the first "concept" album. The concept being if we're a different band we can do anything we want because we're Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, not The Beatles. And they really could do anything as they were finished with touring and no longer needed to play their music live. Meaning they could use any instruments, and as many as they wanted in any given song, and experiment even more with the recording and mixing. Over the course of those three albums The Beatles truly changed music.
The blew his mind out in a car lyrics are inspired by the death of Guinness family heir Tara Browne in 1966 who was a friend of the Beatles. Look up the car crash, looks brutal.
the SGT. PEPPER album DIDN'T start that STUPID 'Paul is Dead" thing, it was a COLLEGE STUDENT in MICHIGAN that started it, and told people to look for clues in the albums. Paul is NOT dead, he was NEVER replaced, and the BEATLES had NOTHING to do with it! ENOUGH ALREADY!!
@@patticrichton1135 No need to get your PANTIES IN A KNOT. See, I can cap too. Nowhere did I say Paul was actually dead and replaced. Nor do I believe it. I simply noted the album the notion started from and why. Not who started it. It was brought up in the reaction video prompting discussion on the subject. It was Sgt Peppers lyrics and photos, along with that look alike contest, that the foolish notion originated. The problem with the conspiracy theory is what is ignored. A look alike, not much of a problem. But finding one that can imitate the accent, sing, play multiple instruments, and continue writing hit song after hit song for decades? Not to mention the vast number of people that would need to keep quiet plus friends the look alike has never met that need to be fooled. Impossible.
Nick, I got the same "Star Wars" t-shirt for my brother on his birthday a few years ago!! Cool!! He loved it!
“Why why why why why why do you say goodbye, bye bye bye bye.” That McCartney adlib is my favorite part of any song ever. Always been obsessed with it. The song is in my top 5 favorites of all time. And it’s my favorite Beatles video (cool people only apparently 😎)
Beatles/I Saw Her Standing There😊
Remember that ‘Yellow Submarine’ was for their full length cartoon film and was with Eleanor Rigby as a double A side single, but was more just a bit of fun.
I think Paul was high, you can see it in the close up Lol
Beatles are the GOAT!
I‘d say Yellow Submarine (1966) was middle or psychedelic period although they still looked like in the early days while this from 1967 changed trastically from their looks and is their later or psychedelic era.
When I saw the title, I thought it was the Soft Cell song "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye". I was excited for a moment, then...well, at least Gabe reminds me of Marc Almond, so not all is lost.
They hated lip-syncing and Paul and John purposely messed up as a joke. They also tried to get each other to grin or laugh, hence John's cutting up and Paul turned away so he couldn't see his antics. There was one section where they were both kicking their legs back at the same time.
do happiness is a warm gun / she's leaving home / a day in the life next
Bet gabe will love it👌
John just put the glasses down and Paul shaved the mustache of the Sgt Pepper look
They would purposely mess around when they had to lypssyinc
My favorite is revolver going forward I love McCartney and Wings. I love the album McCartney before Wings all the instruments by him of course. With Linda singing background. Some linen but I am of the McCartney group. We know there are either one or the other.but I absolutely love wings. And that time of McCartney's career. I missed wings over America sadly. I was very pregnant at the time. But he enjoyed it on RUclips if anyone wants to watch it it's under wings over America roadshow. It'll pop up super good
AFAIK there will be a 3rd Dune movie based on the 2nd book 'Dune Messiah'. Loved the first two books in Herbert's universe.
Both of you need to do a lot more research on the impact the Beatles had in the 60's. They influenced more than just music, they influenced how young people dressed, wore their hair, etc. They were a global phenomenon that has not been duplicated to this day. I know this because I was 6 years old when the Beatles came to the US for the first time and saw it first hand. Not even Michael Jackson had the impact that the Beatles did. If you are still determined to educate Gabe, give him some songs that he might actually like, such as:
Helter Skelter
Come Together
Taxman
Day Tripper
Paperback Writer
Revolution
Get Back
You need to do a better job of explaining the cultural impact these guys had on history, Gabe clearly isn’t trying to learn
Yellow Bus LOL Gabe, it just shows you have filed that one away right next to The Wheels On The Bus Go Round And Round and locked it in deep!
I thought you said "Doom 2 is out" I was about to shout HELL YEAH! Dwayne making a sequel to Doom at last! Then I fathomed that you said Dune 2. Eh well ok still great, but not as epic as a Doom 2 (and if somebody tells me there is a Doom 2 budget sequel without Dwayne then sorry, not interested).
Sargeant Pepper's Subliminal Messages Club :P
Thanks guys, glad Gabe quite liked this one, I've not heard this in some years either!
This is why it ("sucks" according to you) - Because this is NOT A VIDEO!
There was no such thing in 1967. These were called (Promotional Clips), that they would send to shows they couldn't appear on due to scheduling conflicts. They were expensive, cost The Beatles a lot of money to which was a medium that wasn't even a thing to make money back. It wasn't till some 15+ years later that (video's) became popular and made money and singers/groups made them part of their brand. When video's became popular, MTV, played this as a video since The Beatles weren't a group anymore.
This was AFTER the "SGT. PEPPER HEARTS CLUB BAND" and those uniforms are NOT pirate outfits, they are supposed to be turn of the century MILITARY MARCHING BAND uniforms. That is not a Pirate hat, it's a TRI CORNER hat like that was typical in the 1700s. THOSE UNIFORMS were WORN on the COVER of the "SGT. PEPPER'S" album. THOSE uniforms are VERY POPULAR with us fans. John just wasn't wearing his glasses during this video. You SHOULD have RECOGNIZED GEORGE'S and JOHN'S uniforms here, which you ALSO saw in the "NOW AND THEN" video......THAT is WHERE Peter Jackson TOOK them from, was THIS video for "Hello Goodbye."
Gabe: Forget the conspiracy theories, forget "Yellow Submarine". Do some research into the chronology of their releases.
Guys: Forget the video. We never saw it at the time (1967).
The flip side of this, "I Am The Walrus", is far better. Although we mustn't forget that The Beatles were a tribute band for The Rutles. React to The Rutles "Piggy In The Middle" (1968) ruclips.net/video/BlMXKz1DImA/видео.html
Fun fact: There is another version of the video with plain clothes.
1967
Paul McCartney Was Deliberately Singing Off Beat!
I Cannot Understand Why People Keep Getting This Video Wrong!🙄😁😅😂🤣
Paul McCartney Was Intentionally Singing Out Of Step!😁
( And I Think 🤔 That This Video Got Banned 🚫 In Great Britain 🇬🇧 As A Result! )
Anytime I Watch This Video , I Keep Thinking 🤔 Of 'Almost Famous'( 2000 ) Where The Guitar 🎸 Player In 'Almost Famous' Looks Like George Harrison ( The Guy With The 'Pirate' Hat 🤠 And The Huge Green Feather!🪶 🙂😁😅😂🤣)
Yes! I Think 🤔 That The Beatles 🥁 🥁 🎸 🎸 🎹 🎹 Were Taking Some Great Medication' As My Father 🧑🏻 Used To Say!
I Am Typing This On Friday Morning 🌛🌉🌃🌌 , At 2:04 a.m. , April 12, 2024.
Also Ringo Starr's Drums 🥁🥁 Were Supposed To Be Small!
Ringo Starr's Drums 🥁🥁Were Not For A Grown Adult , But For Children.
( I Am Not Sure , But I Think 🤔 By This Time Ringo's Son Zak Starkey Was Being Trained To Be A Drummer 🥁🥁
In Which Zak Starkey Is The Drummer 🥁🥁 For The Rock Band 'The Who'.)
And I Think 🤔 That The Drums 🥁🥁Ringo Starr Is Drumming Are His Son's Drums 🥁🥁 Hence Why The Drums Are So Small! )
Best lip syncing on a Beatles video - George Harrison on "I Feel Fine".

You should react to "A Day in the Life" and "Tomorrow Never Knows".

The "Paul is dead" hidden message was made as a joke to mock all those silly conspiracies, yet ironically most conspiracy theorists actually took it seriously.
It was STARTED by a COLLEGE student in MICHIGAN! There WEREN'T ANY CONSPIRACIES, until that student called a radio station in Dearborn and put forth all the stuff HE made up. II was living in Michigan at the time, during my first year as a teacher. It was broadcast in October of 1969, and I HEARD that program that night. The Beatles didn't start it. It was all in the mind of that college student.
@@patticrichton1135 I know they didn't start it. That's my point, The Beatles added the hidden message to mock all those conspiracy theories.
None better 🇬🇧 apology accepted but your wrong
The Beatles didn't react to that American conspiracy theory rubbish they just carried on making great music.
This is more for the benefit of Gabe. I really don't see the point of these Beatles reactions if all you're going to do is belittle what you're listening to. These are some of the most famous pieces of popular music ever made, yet you choose to be overly critical and not contextual in your argument. It's as though you're only doing this solely just to get a lot of likes and clicks. Your critiques are not very interesting or intelligent. I just don't get why you keep carrying on with Beatles music if that's always going to be your attitude!!
It was the 60s and 70s did u see what Barnaby street looked like them
Uh, "BARNABY STREET"??? WHAT IS THAT?? lol It's "CARNABY" Street, NOT "Barnaby"
The outfits are so cool. They are supposed to be marching band outfits, not pirates. Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix copied the band uniforms later. This song is not their best.
May not be their best but I absolutely love it, really grown on me since first listening to it
Gabe is a big negative for this channel.
Early Beatles are jingles... and not even good ones 😮
Sorry, had to turn it off 🤢
I think the Beatles was massively overated.
And? Doesn't change the fact that they are possible the most influential and loved band ever.
No one cares what you think....
@@Cybertruck1000 oh, a guy at work said he did once.
@@ksmith3997 Once 😆
@Cybertruck1000 I actually think he was talking about someone else, nevermind. Beetles are still overated 🫨
