Sweet : I dig it.. I didn't know Taj Mahal had done a version of it too. The original from way-back was by Henry Thomas ; he did lots of good stuff. It's on RUclips here if you fish for it. :-)
Love your voice, Valerie. It's perfect for this music. Just discovered you two a few minutes ago and Im having fun looking around for other songs. This one was just fine.
Well you two are just delightful! Instant fan. I love great couples. His voice complimented yours perfectly. Melted stress out of my life. Sincerely, -jason from Portland
Hope you folks see this Valerie and Ben. Just sublime music that’s good for the soul. Please allow me to ask Ben what brushes are you using for Fishin Blues? My wife Cindy plays washboard with brushes too, not many folks do, but it fits so right in the pocket with what we’re doing, and obviously what you folks are doing. Just loving the guitar and washboard tones. Peace Rick and Cindy Benjamin
So I have found place I would like to retire to..so if I come over their will you both be in this same place ... I could put my tent up next to yours with my Two stray cats Grumpy and Elvis while you sing us to sleep...keep the great sound acoming....
what a sweet and mellow version, you make it sound like Mississippi John Hurt, makes you want to go fishing on a summer afternoon. Btw, who caught more fish ?
Well done.. Taj would love it im sure…. Valerie can I ask are you using open tuning??? or standard tuning.. ??? Ive watched a few of your vids now . Im learning to play resonator this tune I think your playing standard tuning with the capo.. just wanted to be sure.
I was wondering if you mind if I use your audio in one of my Bible teaching videos? I was given your video by a brother in New Zealand and I absolutely love the harmony you two have. May God bless all your steps!
Thank you for this wonderful moment, again! Dear Valerie would you please tell me more about the guitar you use in this song? You're both a delight to hear and see, thank you.

Daniel Massart Thanks! Mississippi John Hurt is my biggest influence so I'm glad that it comes through. Nobody caught any fish...

Feel free to do so! We're curious though - how does this song fit into Bible study?
@@PiedmontBluz fishers of men 😁 I'm 40 but an old soul, I like the music in my videos to be wholesome.
@@biblesbulliesbogies1143 Makes perfect sense!
@@PiedmontBluz thank you very much. I'll try and put it to good use and thank you! I'll be sure to link your video.
Thank you for this wonderful moment, again! Dear Valerie would you please tell me more about the guitar you use in this song? You're both a delight to hear and see, thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. The guitar is made by Ron Phillips in California. It's my favorite!
I like it, you just need the quills held in a harmonica rack.
What size strings do you use out of interest ?
I like medium gauge strings.
