I used Asus Zenfone 5z for 4 years, gave it to my brother. Still working fine Android 13 is the final OS in it. When you use you don't feel you are limited by OS. So i don't give so much importance to software updates. First go me perfect software or UI hona chahiye.
Ajke time processor bhut strong a device ka aur ya aram se 10 sal chal sakta ha agar sambhal ke chalao to exclude battery jo replace karne padegi over time degrade hote ha but ya device chal sakti ha
If you keep it & use it with care than it can work atleast till 5 years. Tried & tested with my Galaxy S4 in the past. Used 5 years just replaced battery twice.
Never buy a flagship Android after a year because it will run slowly. If you are unlucky, an update can slow down your phone and cause software issues. Personally experience because I own s23 ultra
