  • The Lumintop EDC15 is a 1*AA twisty flashlight wth 4 modes + Strobe that uses an Osram P8 LED under a TIR optic. It can take 1.2V, 1.5V and 3.7V batteries
    It can be considered a keychain flashlight or an EDC flashlight depending on your use or preference.
    While it is small and easily carriable, its action (twist to turn ON/OFF and advance on modes) is not always smooth and may require some "calibration" on your hand to operate it in a more pleasant way.
    The flashlight was sent by flashlightbrand.com, to whom I thank, and you can find it in the link below (non-affiliate). Make sure you get your 10% discount !

    It was painful watching you struggle with the twisty control. I've come from using a Jetstream Jet-U twisty top for many years. It is the same length as the Lumintop EDC15 but less than half the weight and about half the circumference (thickness) with an aaa battery. I became very comfortable with the twisty. I've owned the Lumintop EDC15 for a few months now and haven't had any issues with the control.
    I believe that with twisty top lights, timing is important. You need to pace yourself, pause slightly, between light intensity modes. if you change modes very quickly with the EDC15 you'll probably end up in strobe mode. After a few times it becomes natural.
    I think that if you used only the EDC15 for a while, control would become less frustrating for you.

      @ARobbieC, thanks for your comment.
      Sorry for making it painful to watch, but that was, and still is a struggle with this light! I am not sure if it is this sample, but I still have some struggles to make it turn on and change modes correctly.
      I have several olther twisty lights (Sofirn, Nitefox, Lumintop, etc) and with none I have troubles controlling it. Before doing the review, I tested it to see if the problem was mine or not. And although I admit I may not be the most proficient "twister" I guess it was not just on me.
      But, to each, its' own and I am glad you didn't have issues with yours☺
