    🛒 Eachine Flying Fish FPV Plane - bit.ly/3Fkb3N7
    🔘 Matek PWM RX - bit.ly/3dfCcUT | bit.ly/3Es7bID
    🔋 Battery - bit.ly/32svU2c (fits but still needs more nose weight)
    I think this will be a good FPV plane for a larger area but it needs a stabilizer system.
    I'll have another video with that installed soon...

    The motors seem to be set up for top outward rotation? Although not widely recognized in the RC community, there is a reason why twins should run top inward: If one motor quits, a top inward configuration will make the yaw and roll asymmetries cancel each other out. Tips outward will make them compound each other. One would expect kit manufacturers to know that; it's pretty common knowledge in full scale aviation.

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  2 года назад +1

      Interesting. I wonder how much of an effect there would be at this small scale as the motors aren't very powerful.

    • @Videolinquency
      @Videolinquency 2 года назад +1

      @@AlbertKimTV I'm afraid the effect scales up and down with size. A more determining factor would be how far out the nacelles are located, which seems to be farther than necessary for prop clearance. It would take quite a bit of rudder to counter thrust asymmetry with one motor out. The counter roll aid of a prop inward setup would be welcome if that happened. But I wouldn't worry too much; motors tend to be more reliable than engines, thank God.

    a matek F411-WSE fits and you can get a caddx vista on it and a nebula pro nano :D it'll be over 250g but under 270 AUW

    If you are wanting to fly this with fpv, you can use a $25~ fc like the HGLRC Forward F4 mini, it is available at getfpv, but im sure you can also find them elsewhere
    I use it for my zohd dart250, and it does an amazing job!
    it has 6 servo/s pads (2x motor, ailerons, rudder, elevator), a barometer, and it supports inav.
    Love your content, and i look forward to seeing more of your fpv plane videos!

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  2 года назад +1

      It's a little too big so I'm either gonna scrape out some of the foam or find another solution that is smaller. Haven't had time to look into it much.

  • @SteveGergetz
    @SteveGergetz 2 года назад

    Did you make that follow-up video for this bird yet?
    And is it REALLY durable in crashes you've had, or just average durability?

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  2 года назад +1

      I gave up on the video because I can't find a stabilizer that fits. Too small of a space inside. I will try later with the Hee Wing T1 Ranger instead. For minor crashes this is totally durable. If you go straight into the ground at full speed it will explode like any other plane. I've never seen one to survive that severe of a crash.

    • @SteveGergetz
      @SteveGergetz 2 года назад

      @@AlbertKimTV FYI - I finally got a couple of the WLtoys mini warbirds (the T28 and the P40) and have flown them straight into the ground...maybe not exactly full speed, but close enough...and not asphalt or packed dirt, but a regular grass lawn...and they laughed it off. In your experience would you say the Flying Fish is about as damage-resistant in crashes as the WLtoys and Eachine mini warbirds are?

  • @theagileaardvark
    @theagileaardvark 2 года назад +1

    PSA: When cleaning the wings before applying the stickers do NOT use acetone, nail polish remover (often contains acetone too) or other "aggressive" solvents. They will dissolve the styro to a white, sticky goo in no time.

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  2 года назад +1
