Danni & Joe
You have a great family and cherish them. Your father a great instructor.
Thank you! Yes we cherish him and his wisdom 😊
Carnt wait to see the doors finally finished well done both DAD too tc now the oldies 🤗👍🌺
Thank you!
Special times. I know he’s helped a great deal with his workshop, and on the boat, but every time you walk through those doors, you’ll remember the day you fitted them with your lovely Father.
Yeah so true Paul! Thanks for the kind message.
Those doors look awesome, all looking good back there.
Just a tip for the future, when you use metered beading to hold glass in ,only pin three of them and use a couple of screws for the forth one because if you need to replace the glass it’s easier to get the beading out without damaging it.
Ahhh that’s a great tip!
@@DanniandJoe 👍
Hi Danni, Joe. Your stern (boat that is) is looking great. Can't wait to see the final result tomorrow. Loving the doors too. It was nice to see your dad again. All the best. Spoolbox
Thank you! We’re really happy with them!
That look beautiful. Your talents are endless and the results are fabulous. You have a beautiful narrow boat. Your dad Joe. Very nice guy. It's nice to have parents to help when you need it. Love you both guys. Great video ❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much for the lovely comment!
Always a pleasure watching you guys working together to get it done. You adjust so well when things get tough and come away with a smile.
Thank you! 🙂
YAY! Was wondering when you were going to get rid of those horrible leaky doors! I don't know how you've lived with them through the winter... Must be a relief to have everything tidy and secure! Lovely. 🤗
Thank you yeah so glad!
The doors are gorgeous, great you got the chance to take care of the back ,looking good so far ,wait for tomorrow .🤗👋💚☘️
Thank you!
Beautiful doors, love the stained glass.
Future reference, a plastic bag put the paint tray inside, works well. Stern deck will look great.😊
Good idea! Don’t get many disposable bags like that anymore though. Yes we love them too!
I am very pleased that you have finally fitted those beautiful doors. Also it niggled when you were on the stern deck and seeing how tatty it is compared with the great work internally. You're a terrific couple to watch. Thanks for the entertainment.
Thank you very much!
Hi May, You are so talented, love your song. Have a great week.😊
Thank you!
Love the doors! So nice to see you working with Dad!
Thank you!
Love the doors but I'm confused you've screwed the hinges onto the outside of the doors where they can be unscrewed by anyone. I've always fitted hinges hidden flat to the door & surrounding frame so screws are out of sight between the two surfaces & when the doors are closed the hinge is closed flat against itself hiding the screws within the door/doorframe out of sight. Usually cut into the frame & door to fit so hinge is flush with the timber same as with standard door hinges in houses.
Does that make sense, very hard to describe.
It’s a fair question. The bolts on the hinges/boat just turn unless you can get a spanner on the nut in side (that’s how they’ve been since we’ve owned the boat), the doors side bolts can only be undone from inside the boat. To be honest if someone wants to undo 16 bolts rather than simply smashing a single pane window they’re probably welcome to a nosy around
@@DanniandJoe It's obviously far more secure than it appears to be, that's a relief!!
I really enjoy watching you both working together
Thank you!
Just love how you turn your hand to everything. Very talented. Best wishes. ❤
Thank you so much!
That stern deck is going to look great. Love the doors.
Thank you!
Lovely video and a fabulous project, the doors are beautiful.
Thank you we love them!
Wow, looking good, I think you were right to do this whilst the weather is good, its going to look amazing, can't wait to see tomorrow's instalment. Best wishes Christine x
Thanks Christine! We’re really happy with them!
Looking forward to seeing the final reveal. The doors looked lovely ❤
Thank you!
Can you guys use a total loss portable sand blaster. Using sand it sweeps up easy and you get a better finish. Iso-Alchohol wipe down then epoxy metal primer straight away let it dry then an epoxy top coat. A lenght of chain on the pipe hand rails removes all the paint and scale really easy.
Not sure I can wait until tomorrow for the grand reveal ! Your dad made me laugh .. “ don’t tell your mom !” Great vid !
😂😂 thank you!
So exciting! Those doors will be lovely. Hopefully fewer drafts inside. Can’t wait to see the finished job with the paint - you certainly picked the hottest week of the year to do it!!😊
Definitely less drafty 😂😂
Loved watching the transformation, looking good so far… Loving your vlogs ❤
Thank you!
Hi, exzellent video. Doing another great job. By the way the doors are great. Can not wait to see the finish tomorrow. Steve from Germany.
Cheers Steve!
22:15 The cling film on the paint tray always drove me crazy when the film rolled up on the paint roller. I think plastic bags are much better for this
Great job joe! Looks good ❤
Thank you!
Love You Guys! Gorgeous doors! BUT what will stop someone from just unscrewing the hinges?
I was about to post the same. They seem very insecure.

@@DanniandJoe That’s fair enough, and clear from the second vlog. The hinges just seem to be fixed to the boat by pozidrive screws, though. Definitely worth having a bit of a rethink there, I’d say.
Love it, great work.
Cheers!
Looking good guys great vlog
Thank you!
I love your doors but I’m afraid you need to change your hinges but if you don’t can you put paint stripper on the side which is the oak. Are the hinges gold on color to match the color of the oak. It will be so much nicer than looking at the white paint on the oak. Beautiful doors. Vicki Brisbane Australia. ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah instant regret when painting them, it’s peeling off though fortunately so we’ll be taking them back to metal!
Great work, those doors look brilliant, you must have to be really careful to not drop stuff in the canal when youre working !
Cheers! Yeah it’s always a bit risky 😫😂
Very nice 👌 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Stern doors! 🎉
Cheers!
good vid thanks lee
Thank you!
Cool 🎉❤😊
Cheers!
Aluminum foil works best for the paint trays, but everyone has their own hacks so it's all good. Edit: LOL I just post this and two seconds later..........
Haha got to love the foil!
TBH if you can find used groove pulleys so you can use a standard automotive Vee belt, they are infinitely more durable.
That’s a good shout
Great security on them new doors guys remove. Screws from them hinges and the thief is in

@@DanniandJoe that's good to hear that the hinges are safe
👍
Thank you!
who is that old man helping you 🤣🤣
Our pops ❤️
Use foil in your paint tray mate, not cling film.
Yes works wonders 😍
Hi Jo… noticed on a previous video when you lifted the bed up to get to stuff,,,? Where did you source the hinge/Gas ram set up? I have to use a piece of wood to hold up my bed !😂
These! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224822473627?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=kgay_tc_rsk&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=4htFw773Ree&var=523686002430&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@DanniandJoe thank you mate… I hope you manage to sort the Alternator alignment problem asap as you will get through belts! 👍🏻
You have gotten a beautiful young lady love you both in nc keep up the great work
Thank you!
🏴
Kind of a colourfull video? Thank you!
😂😂
A little sad you didn't use glazing putty. Though I understand seeing it's in a wet environment.
Yeah I was tempted but these will be constantly facing rain
Shame you didn't cut hinges into the side edges of doors and jams
We went with face mount to keep it easy, once the hinges are painted properly they’ll blend in nicely. There’s no door frame in timber it’s just steel either side so would’ve been awkward fitting
Always wear goggles. Always
I’ve had a couple close calls and really try to remember them now!
Was the drill toast?
Flat battery thankfully!
Where did you buy your chairs on the back deck from, I've been looking for a replacement of ours everywhere! 😄
The folding green ones? Those were Danni’s mums!
Thank you, my hubby loved his chair, but sadly looks as though now unavailable@@DanniandJoe
:)
😊
Screws on the outside; not the best location from a security perspective, or are your crims not that clever🤔
They’ll probably just smash a side window if they want to get in, those new bolts are coach headed so can only un-do from inside
Do you have your own private mooring?....
No we’re CC’ing at the minute, we’ve been in marinas in the past though.
