- SeaWorld Orlando's New for 2023 Roller Coaster, The Pipeline Surf Coaster! This unique coaster features seats that bounce up and down 2 inches in both directions, allowing 4 inches of movement for the riders. This allows riders to jump with the hills or "waves" to in a way simulate the feeling of surfing. It features elements based off of surf maneuvers, and so far reviews have been quite positive for the employees who have been lucky enough to ride! #seaworld #orlando #rollercoaster #themepark #testing
The ride is described as smooth and re-rideable, something that previous stand-up coasters haven't been said to be. Manufactured by Bolliger and Mabillard.

Is it me? Or is the train going slower now than when first tested..
I mentioned it and everyone snapped at me - said it’s an optical illusion - not an expert RUclips roller coaster watcher seeing the video correctly …. Haha people took it personally.
Not through the first half but they definitely are now using the trims that are before that first helix

Awesome footage, thanks for sharing! I'm a bit worried about the pacing ... looks pretty slow moving and kinda "tame" to me ... but it'll be fun to ride it anyway.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone pose this question about the train’s seat bouncing mechanism - but couldn’t you theoretically roll your ankle or tweak your knee during the ride when landing back down after a moment of airtime? 🤔

With Zan Diego's hight limitations, this wouldn't be a bad model to add to SWSD.
This is the first stand up coaster built since 1999 so if this is successful we will definitely be seeing more.
@Jean Pierre Polnareff Yea I hope so. They just keep adding to Florida and the easy coast it would be cook to see some action on this side
@Quinn Lambert they're adding a launched a straddle coaster there, it usnt like yall aren't getting rides. It's just a lot of models aren't viable due to extremely strict hight requirements.

@@lanceflx63 I've heard it in person. It's not Kumba or Montu loud, but comparable to a B&M hyper, maybe a touch louder. You can clearly see in all the construction videos they were not sand filled. SWO doesn't have any noise ordinances like other places have.

It's moving pretty good and just an illusion. Watch other coasters from a distance. Will look the same. I've talked to employees who have already ridden it and they said it was awesome, no pacing issues at all.

Can you actually STAND with those new restraints? It seems to me like it's just a very high sit-down setup.
To be fair, nobody ever seemed to understand how to stand on a classic stand-up coaster either.
POV you lift your legs while you ride it, that literally happened when I went two days ago. 😂
The surf coaster concept is like, a Disney Live Action Remake of the standing coaster.
