i just got the same problem with my N now. A possible condition with your Engine Control System has been detected with your 2020 VELOSTER on 01/19/2022 at 05:26 pm EST
I work for Hyundai. While it is messed up sadly the car industry is STRUGGLING. New cars aren’t being made up to speed due to Covid and a lot of places don’t have enough to hand out for loaners cause the salesmen have to sell cars on the lot as well. We struggle with dealer trades as is. I got a recall on my 2020 veloster 2.0 last month and I’m afraid to turn it in to get fixed simply for the fact I can’t go to work due to no loaner cars…
Yeah, they told me Hyundai doesn’t provide loaners. If I didn’t have my other car I’d be in the same situation as DJ Rio ^. If your 2.0 doesn’t pass recall bro, they will have to replace the engine the statement says. I hope it passes inspection for your sake.
@@tsukicheisa my car has been driving fine, he’s all decorated for Halloween rn and the guys at work told me it’s gonna be free cause it’s a recall….but due to a lot of Hyundai’s (( mainly new ones )) that keep coming back to get fixed I think I rather take my chances….dealerships I don’t trust when it comes to fixing a car it’s about money half the time…and a lot of people get their car fixed for recalls just for me to have to schedule them to come back cause now their engine light is on or they break down….the car industry with new models 2019-2021 are getting hurt…. They are being made poorly due to the pandemic and it’s making customers like me that loves her car fear getting that taken away cause it takes months to get new parts for 1 small thing.
@@djrio6981 totally understand. And yeah, recall stuff is always covered, and the warranty is good too that we have. Also agree these newer models are a lot more problematic than I’d like which is why I’m focusing more on aesthetics than performance because I don’t want to kill my warranty. If it drives fine I’d leave it too. They did the recall inspection while my car was in for the engine light issue.
@@djrio6981 that makes sense. they had to replace the engine in my 2021 2.0 earlier this year and they gave me a subaru as a loaner instead of a hyundai since their dealerships are connected
When are you working on you’re engine man. You’re spending all this money on it for cosmetic reasons when are you getting more hp outa her if you wanna keep adding cosmetic stuff to it an intake will make it sound nicer.
Warranty bro, I need to keep the warranty. Once it expires I may do a lot more to it in the future. Not sure yet. But that intake is definitely on my list of to-do’s! Just like all builds, each car is for the owner to enjoy. If mine is not your taste it’s all good, just do what you want to yours and have fun man!
@@tsukicheisa hmm I see. But yea I love you’re build so far man but I stared wondering why you’re first expense was cosmetic and now performance but yea ig youre getting there.
@@cristopherflores6195 trust me man, it’s slow as heck but, just enjoying the stages however I can. Saving for a cf hood, the hopefully side skirts and splitter but we’ll see. Still have a long way to go that’s for sure.
Glad to see it got fixed. I've currently got a 2021 veloster N. Such a fun little car.
Lucky you brotha! I wanted the N so bad, just was t in my financial means at the time. Maybe in the future, but for now rocking this guy 🙌🏼
