also, truckers sometimes give light signals: if they turn on their right-turn light indicator, and it seems they are not exiting the road or going to the shoulder, it probably means that there is nothing coming on the opposite way... (always good to not trust this entirely, as an tired driver may have just forgot the lights on, ok?) if they keep their left turn light indicator on, it means that you should not try to overtake, as there is incoming traffic on the opposite way.

We're a Brazilian family living in Sweden for 14 years now. My daughters grew up here and they're loving to learn so many casual things about Brazil from your trip. They have just binged the whole series in two days! One place I'd really recommend is Lençóis Maranhenses in Maranhão State. You're never going to see anything like that in the world. It's a 300km wide white-sand dunes "desert"... with a crystal rain-water lagoon after each dune, if you visit it at the right time of the year, i.e. the rain season. Can you picture it? If not, just Google it. I also agree with other comments that you should try to spend some time in other States like Minas Gerais and the south most ones too. Brazil is too diverse and you need to experience more than the usual combo of beaches and jungles. We're looking forward to the next adventures!
@@lindseyfw2903 The best time to visit the Lençóis Maranhenses would be in the months of June, August and September. @@lucashecktif I don't think so... Have u seen the amount of people offering random services at the streets of Brazil ? Most of the times they do it without asking for permission, like in the video. If we have to tip everyone we'd spend all our money on tips. Sometimes it's nice but I don't think it should be part of our culture. Not everybody has money for tips plus the guy at the gas station works there, so they pay him a salary. Besides he just threw some water on the car, nothing big... Here where I live that's usually free and they don't even expect a tip.
