Dan: i don't wanna get rid of it but i don't wanna keep it either. You guys ever have any thing like that?
Me: yea my girlfriend 😂😅
I feel ya dude.
Fuck I felt that haha
Sounds like hopeful denial to me. But take my opinion with a grain of salt
Tbh I just got with a new girl and she’s been so good. I’m nervous that I’ll do something stupid and loser her but she seems like someone who wants to be in a serious long term relationship so that’s good.
@@Durangedkitten Be honest. That's the best advice I've ever heard from my wife, and it kept us together
Dan: I'm selling the h2
His audience: say sike right now
Love you dan thank u sm for the ❤️
It's like if the stradman sold his lambo. Not bad, not that anyone cares...just feel a little frisky for whatever dank shit Dan comes up with next.

You made a smart decision. I can’t keep my MT-09 at the speed limit so I can imagine the H2 is literally impossible to ride 100% legally
Same with my MT09. The power is so accessible it's crazy
I have an XSR900 and i can say the exact same. In every gear it just wants to go, it’s hard hard not to wring it’s neck when riding casually lmao
Dude. I’ve said the ax at same thing you said at 3:40 - 3:50 ish lolol
quick story. started on a 200 for a year(10k miles), then an 05 R1(5k miles). day 3 i topped it out on video, sold 9 months later cause i was gonna die(and needed the extra cash...downgraded to a klx250sf and did 9k miles. now Im 7K miles on an FZ07 (10 years into riding and I super miss the offroading of the 200, but I also miss the 180 mph of the R1. FZ 07 is keeping me alive but i want the R1 back
goddamn like... its not even the speed but the sound alone, low rev high gear full throttle grunts are just eargasmic. Everytime its like „okokok one more time ONE more time“ and after that „ohohohooook yeah yup one more ONCE more“ and it just goes oon and oon and ooon...
Dan - I feel you. I'm 42 and I still go through the "I'm done with this" light-switch feeling and need to get rid of the thing. If it's not the "right" thing, it's not right. I bought a 2015 Speed Triple 2 years ago and realized after riding for 18 years that I finally found the "right" bike with the naked sportbike after riding a dozen other bikes of different categories (sport, race, cruiser...).
As for your channel, I've been watching for YEARS. At first, I came for the motorcycle reviews. I stayed because, well, I love you, man. Your content is second-to-none. Your relationships with your friends and family are 100% genuine. And, most importantly, you're real. No matter what the video content, I know it's pure Dan.
"Do It With Dan - Come for the Crazy, Stay for the Dan."
(hmmm... I may need to work on that...)
Thanks for everything you do and keeping being you. Plus, if you and your posse ever end up in the Portland, Ore. way, I've got spare bedrooms where you can stay, or, at the very least, let's go for a ride or a drive, eh? :)
I just bought a speed triple a couple days ago. I love it so far and it’s surprisingly easier than I thought to keep it under control during a commute in the city. Do you still have yours?
@@thegreatballplayer1 I do still have mine and I still love it just as much (although the bug-eye headlights on my model leave something to be desired). Like you, I thought a literbike would be difficult to manage, but because of the even power delivery of the triple-cylinder, it's incredibly easy to baby the bike through stop-and-go traffic (despite it tipping the scales at nearly 500 lbs which is pretty heavy for a sportbike).
Which model year did you get? I love 'em all for different reasons. The new ones are super-sexy and I love the older ones for their untamed stallion attitudes. Naturally, I think my model is the best (again... if I put a bag over the headlights, the rest of her is GORGEOUS) because of the blend of decent safety features like ABS without TOO much tech like the newer ones.
Funny thing is, I've been riding for 19 years and have owned 7 different bikes (racebikes, cruisers, standards) and this was my first non-Japanese bike. Triumph has definitely done a turnaround since the 1960s - my bike is dead reliable.
irxproductions i bought the 2013 ABS model. It’s goldish yellow. At first I didn’t like the color but it’s grown on me a lot because of its uniqueness to other bikes which triumph in general is good at. Same with you, this is my first non-Japanese bike and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back. It’s sooo much more refined with so much more character. Not too much tech but just enough to be incredibly convenient and useful. I’ve owned Kawasaki ninjas and a Yamaha fz6r and test rode an FZ1 before deciding on this one. By far triumph is the most fun and comfortable out of all of them. Those bikes feel cheap compared to this one. Very very happy with my purchase

I'm actually really glad you decided to sell the H2 man. I've always had a bad feeling that one day something bad would happen to you on that bike. I've been watching since the CBR days and I've never felt like that about any other bike you had.
Congrats on the Camaro my man. Please keep up the build series. I'm a big truck guy and I've been digging the shit out of the Dually build. Can't wait to see it finished.
Boring
You are doing the right thing. There will always be fast bikes in the future. You weren't afraid of the H2? Time for it to go. Have fun and stay alive!
This reminded me of some wisdom my dad told me when I was getting my first nice car. " If there's something that you really want, something that occupies your mind, get it!" Whether or not it works out is unimportant. You're buying experience.
The restomod is going to be a winner.
Best of luck Dan, we're all along for the ride.

Yup, I was just searching for 70s restomods.

Now you’re talking. You picked my era Camaro, love the 70 to 73s. When I was in my 20s I bought a 70 Plymouth Roadrunner and at that time gas was cheap (72) and speed shops were everywhere. I beefed up the engine a bit and it sounded awesome. There was a 70 dark green Camaro the was build and he followed me all the time to get me to race. I didn’t bite cause I knew he’d smoke my RR. Not sure why I rambled on but at my age you need to write down memories. 😉

Seems like there aren't many motovloggers left these days...its funny because I've made a video recently about being over sport bikes myself so I completely get it. I've found more fun on bikes that aren't sport bikes these days.

Still want you to rip the AK like old times sometime in the future.
Things come and go. I have the same feeling about my FZ. It’s just sitting there not getting ridden but I haven’t pulled the trigger on riding it up to WOW and trading it in.
Is it an 07, 09, or a 10?
My first bike was an 03’ 636. I had that same feeling, I was too comfortable on it that it scared me. So I traded it for a dyna. I still get to enjoy riding and have a healthy fear associated with riding without the gut wrenching feeling that is today my day. Stay safe brother, you listened to your gut and that’s your true feelings.
You should get an RSV4 next! Just bought mine last weekend and it’s amazing!
