Van Halen kept all of the staging used by Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and AC/DC used in 197. Who would have ever though that Van Halen would become a Ted Nugent tribute band and fill stadiums in 1981 when they were also on tour somewhere else promoting their 1981 album Fair Warning. Eddie was a great guitarist but he’s amazing to able to pull off this whole “two places” experiment in physics too.
I’ve looked for the footage from Oakland for the last 30 years to no avail heard so many things over the web between Dave the late Eddie Alex that it was recorded in full and that I believe Dave said that it was but the footage was poorly done to this day wouldn’t care if it was. 1981 was there and still is there pinnacle year you can largo Maryland footage all day from 82 and partial songs from 79 but this is the year they were probably at there peak before the nonsense from Dave. They all had there demons but I wish if the footage is locked away damn it too he’ll release it I’ll pay to see it. I’m only 51 so I missed out on the great Dave vh years I need a time capsule.
