OMG OMG OMG OMG IT'S A PLEASURE TO LISTEN OMAM PLAYING ONE OF THE SONGS OF MY FAV BAND! OMG OMG THIS IS EAAARGASMM!!!!!! OMAM IS ONE THE BEST BANDS WE HAVE NOWADAYS. OMAM & THE CURE. EPIC!
It means, like a hipster, you're of the mindset that label and popularity and music quality go hand in hand. They're a band from Iceland, they made it big on their own with the songs THEY wrote BEFORE they got popular. And they ALREADY have a big label attached, Universal, yet they wrote a song AFTER they signed (Mountain Sound) that fits their sound and style exactly.
I get the feeling that this is the moment that hipsterism jumped the shark. perhaps someday hipsters will reminisce on this moment in the same way that my parents romanticize Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock. Or maybe not.
What? what the heck does that mean?. Hipster? define please. I am only a musician who has been playing multiple instruments in many genre's, and know professional songwriter and musicians. When a band or writer "makes it" and has signed with a large label they are summarily remade to fit a formulaic image and style. Think Grimm on america's got talent for one instance.I can name 100's The industry wants pablum to feed the masses and the masses eat it up, listen to some of the older Jazz artists
The Cure was a big influence for Nanna growing up. OMAM did an incredible job with this song. I'd like to hear them perform it more.
Please Never delete this

I did not know this was a The Cure song - first time I had heard it was done by Lou Canon. These guys knocked it out of the park though!
Nice sound. What kind of camera did you use?
I always hear what I want to hear. Drink Drink Drink. :-)
NICE
Actually liked it
They certainly did not knock it out of the park... I like this band, but you should listen to the original!
Enjoy the now while they are still real. once the big labels get to them they will cease to be.
Did you record this video in 1080p format? Thanks!
