Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men perform an as-yet untitled song in their living room in Reykjavík during Iceland Airwaves 2010. Recorded on October 16, 2010.
I just close my eyes when they sing "and love me mother, and love me father, and love my sister, as well..." And just listen to the beautiful sound they create when their voces unite 😍😭🙌
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.. record this song if you haven't already.. I LOVE IT. Soo sooo soo much. The harmony and of your voices and the instruments is incredible.
What a beautiful, beautiful performance. Vocal timing & tone to be admired. Love the little toot on the accordion @ 3:28 & at the very end I think they're having a good chuckle over it. Makes it real, which these folks know how to be.
this song made me think of my broken family, and how much I love everything about them and the situation. Love what you have or you can never grow as a family.
:( Almost 10 years, this song so much "helped me", having failed out of college and having to walk to work every evening (3rd Shift) My Head is an Animal was a good listen... but also, idk if I'm any better than when this song first moved me. Where did the decade go? Did I drink and smoke it all away?
2:482:48 wow i am a little late chiming in on this .but holy smokes you guys and nanna are so incredibly talented i love this inprov sit in of you all just jamming and to see some history of your humble beginnings God bless you all gota go see ya!!
i fucking love these guys. Their voices are so unique and mesh with each other so well. This is a song on their album now btw, i believe it is called sloom.
Wow, you guys are great. I love all the guitars (and the female voice), and the way you offset the capos. The opening chords are nice. I wonder if you can do those with capo on 1...
I agree with the title "Love Me". I see they have a 4 song album on itunes which sounds good. I Want a copy of this song though.. This American is Addicted.
the song name is Sloom, it's on their album. At the time it was untitled.
If anyone wonders, the lines "So make all you last demands...." and "The books that I keep by my bed...." are swapped round in the studio version
Sloom is by far their best song. Hard to believe they couldn't come up with a name for it.
they sound like they're covering themselves. i love it
Kira Kildal the most genius & genuine comment I've read so far
I just close my eyes when they sing "and love me mother, and love me father, and love my sister, as well..." And just listen to the beautiful sound they create when their voces unite 😍😭🙌
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.. record this song if you haven't already.. I LOVE IT. Soo sooo soo much. The harmony and of your voices and the instruments is incredible.
This is the most beauitiful I've ever heard Nanna sing. Her voice is incredible, she just cuts it so much that its too choppy in other songs.
Because she sings in Staccato. She used to sing like this, now she cuts the words in parts (Staccato singing style).
Patrick Corpuz She doesn't do this anymore, I guess it was just a phase in 2012/early 2013
"We are the band Of Monsters and Men and... ehm... we don't have a nome for this song, so..."
OMG how adorable! Raggi is the cutest guy on earth!
What a beautiful, beautiful performance. Vocal timing & tone to be admired. Love the little toot on the accordion @ 3:28 & at the very end I think they're having a good chuckle over it. Makes it real, which these folks know how to be.
I think the toot is Raggi accidentally touching the strings
I don't think so if you really pay attention to the song you can listen to the Toot several times, from 3:28 - 3:44 with intervals of 6 seconds...
@@TonyMorral You can see how Raggi touches the strings and him looking over to Nanna annoyed, while she is laughing
the most beautiful song from all tracks.
Sloom is such a great name for this song. They picked it perfectly-- a nice and mysterious sounding word.
I love how there was no name for this but they still had a perfect song
It's Sloom
+Ringowasthewalrus Yes I know, but before it was called sloom, the song had no name, but they still played it
+julia bellei oh oh ok
@julia bellei I know right! So cool!
@julia bellei I know right! So cool!
Real Musicans, Playing Real Music. I Thank You.
i don't think a title exists that can capture how beautiful this song is
this song made me think of my broken family, and how much I love everything about them and the situation. Love what you have or you can never grow as a family.
This song makes me smile even in the saddest of days, which seem to happen more often than not. This is real music.
I love the song and this performance.
I love Raggi’s and Nanna’s voice so much ❤️
Professional singing + their icelandic accents = dynamic duo :)

Honestly, I've never ordered a CD album of any musician(s), but the first time I heard their music I ended up buying it! Every single song is amazing.
My favorite song of theirs. So Lovely.
Now this lovely song is known as "Sloom"
I didn't know they were icelandic, all of their songs are in perfect English :P I love this band so much (:

:( Almost 10 years, this song so much "helped me", having failed out of college and having to walk to work every evening (3rd Shift) My Head is an Animal was a good listen...
but also, idk if I'm any better than when this song first moved me. Where did the decade go? Did I drink and smoke it all away?

I wonder how this ended up being sloom.
Two albums of black, white and grey.
But now they're fever dreaming.
It's absolutely amazing...
When I hear this song I have faith in humanity.....and then I step outside....
at 4:20 I love the "handface" drawing on the accordion guys hand :P

They are the BEST band ever♥
I NEED more of them. I want an album already! His voice is so amazing. Hers as well.
hes so cute when he says "eeeh...we dont have a name for this song...so...." lol
so many things come to my mind when i listen to this song, but i think the one word i can say to sum it all up is "beautiful"
i agree, this song is perfect without a title, putting something cheesy on it like 'Love Me' would kill it. being open for interpretation is nice.
I Love this song. This performance is so fitting too. Thank you :-)
Best version ever. Love from Brazil
Such a great song with a really nice message - well done. Love it
@PureDictionRecords true words my friend. Bon Iver is American and in my opinion the single most beautiful musician i've ever heard.

Dear Gods how beautiful it is..
This band gives me hope. So much hope.
Wow, you guys are great. I love all the guitars (and the female voice), and the way you offset the capos. The opening chords are nice. I wonder if you can do those with capo on 1...

Absolutely amazing. What hurts is that people like Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black are more famous than you guys, the true musicians. Keep it up!
