Promotional video clip from ASTRO BOY showcasing John Ottman's musical score, for the sequence when Astro Boy learns he can fly. Used for promotional purposes only.
If they give Astro boy 2 movie that will blow my mind away like a robot like Astro appears like he's the same height as him and the red core on him stronger then Astro that will be cool
In my opinion, this is WAY better than the old tv series.(Not that I have anything against 2d. I love 2d!) This movie is very well done and defiantly emotional. In the TV series, he was just like "I can fly! Awesome! Cool! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" And his voice sounded really weird. But in THIS it way more exciting and emotional without Astro saying anything.
Yes, the movie did many things that were better than the anime, such as making the realization of being a robot child and being abandoned by the ones who say they love you more realistic, but the one thing that makes the movie iffy and less popular than the anime is the characters, the movie could be its own reality, but was treated as a similar continuity when localized, and the villain in the movie feels lackluster compared to the anti-robot groups led by Mr. Drake and the World's Strongest robots commanded by the Blue Knight (Blue Knight according to the lore is more of an anti-hero than a villain, but does support the war between man and machine.) Pluto could count as a villain, as a sub-villain since his goal in all continuities is to kill Atom/Astro, Atlas just serves as a plot villain, he's just there to be Atom/Astro's rival.
That's not going to happen because the animation studio closed and the movie was a failure, and I thought too but I didn't know about this so I can't get there, I'm sorry. 1:11
I like how they honored the Japanese opening to the 1963 anime by having Astro race a train ('63: Shinkansen/Bullet Train), "rocket high, through the sky" in a giant loop, and dig thru a snow-capped volcanic mountain ('63: Mt. Fuji).
This movie isn’t just an underrated Jem
It’s a criminally underrated masterpiece
The music is a mix of childhood innocence, freedom, and nostalgia, its so overwhelmingly great!
As much as I really don’t like this movie, this is honestly a great scene
1:15 - 1:32 Chorus, strings and brass sounds beautiful together, definitely my favorite part of the Astro Boy flying scene :'3
True bro same
Especially the choir did it so clean! The harmony is perfect, everything has perfect clarity
