As a former Stern listener, I got Sirius when he went. I thought the first few years were great. Mainly due to Artie, Sal and Richard. Anthony was right though, the hardware for Sirius was atrocious.
Totally not fair at all. Opie came first. He made Anthony. We probably still wouldn't know who the fuck Anthony Cumia is if it wasn't for Gregg Hughes. If anything, Ant would be higher on the "luckiest" list. Robin Quivers was/is nothing but a talentless yes man/brown noser extraordinaire. Aside from that, and like Opie said, Robin was there as a convenient shield for all the shit Stern did to women, and to minorities to some degree.
Howard has never been more full of 's' when he says XM buying O&A spots on 'Private Parts,' airing on cable didn't bother him. It's actually a brilliantly executed move from Sun-Tzu, 'Art Of War.' A new textbook example.
Why would he care about a program that completely ripped off the Howard Stern show? You would have to be blind to not realize that. O&A were hacky shock jocks that worshipped Howard and were obviously inspired by him.

I have said it elsewhere on another version of this clip... there was nothing like Stern to bring Opie and Anthony together. It is also notable that Jimmy isn't around and not breaking up the old school "tag team" vibe Op and Ant have here, which I didn't really think about the first time I heard this. Jimmy certainly added something to show (though his characters were mostly terrible, annoying, and cringey), but I never really grasped the wedge his presence created (not that he was intentionally doing it). He changed the dynamic of the O&A partnership. It was simultaneously good in some ways, bad in others.
