Whew! This one was a slow progressing project, but I finally have it ready. ^^
I wanna thank Josh Herstien for his great lyrics as well. They be great! ^^
This song has a much lighter atmosphere than most of my covers, but I do like the overall feel. Chances are I'll be making others with this kind of sound in the future ^^

I get people weren't a fan of this one since it was too upbeat for the arc it was used for, but I still think it deserves love.
Thats what makes it great. Fun opening sad arc.
I don't really think of this song when I think: "Massive breakout from a hellish underwater prison"
Plus, when you are in between the funky Share The World and the somber One Day, it's pretty jarring.
I personally really like it, kinda shows Luffy’s optimism when it comes to saving people
This op is awesome, maybe it doesn't fit with the arc but it still amazing

That's really cool. There are no other covers for this op. You cover is not just the only one, it's great. Nice work, thank you
It's not the only one tho. The channel One Piece Music has a version by Caroline Ogle which is in my opinion better, but this one is by no means bad.
@@ducknator I do like Caroline's vocals slightly more, just in terms of pitch and tone.
However, the other cover's English lyrics, written by someone named "Triv", have some awkward phrases in them that sound a bit like they were written by a non-native English speaker, like "feel that feel", or "where dreams come reality"... there's also some awkward flow to certain lines, making the whole thing come off a little stilted in spots.
Also, if I didn't have the lyrics written out, I wouldn't be able to understand some of the lines in that version.
Josh Herstien's lyrics in this version, on the other hand, are much better, with a very nice flow to them, and I feel like they also sick closer to the Japanese lyrics. Combine that with Dave's solid vocals, and I personally prefer this version.
I would love to see Caroline do a version using Josh's lyrics, though.
I've always loved this opening. Yes, it's "too upbeat" for the arc and all that, but i honestly believe it is the "calm before the storm" as it were. It was a necessary thing to keep viewers' spirits high before everything went down.

I never cared much for the instrumental and the Japanese didn't really sound special but, actually being able to understand the lyrics, this is great.
With how shitty every thing is right now, this is the kind of uplifting song I needed to hear. Definitely gonna share the link to this song around.

When I saw that scene in the OP was thought it was a symbolism for something but no they actually fell from the sky in Marineford lamo
People who say this opening was too happy for the subject matter of the arc, how clueless can you folks be? Its obviously luffy having a dream of peace and serenity and then awaking and getting thrust into the harshness of his current reality. I mean they can't make it anymore obvious.
this also makes sense with a popular theory that all op intro's are just luffy's dreams and the non cannon movies are usopp telling the crew stories

A pleasant English version to hear
Reminds me how op 10 of Naruto Shippuden was so goofy, but it was happening during the reveal of what happened during the Nine Tails arc. The arc is so sad and emotional and the op is like a way to make you smile during all of this

Fantastic work again, Dave! As Cookie Lover said, there's not a lot of covers of the song in general, so hearing such a new but pleasant rendition of this song (along with amazing English lyrics) was definitely satisfying and worth the wait!

This is so much better than the original. The instrumental and the lyrics are so much better fitted for impel down. This is what kaze o sagashite was supposed to be.

Not my favourite, but I fucking love the image of the Impel Down guards doing what looks like a Nazi Salute, with a cheerful “yay!” is absolutely hilarious.
Just as enjoyable as your JP version of the song and definitely the best ENG cover of the song I've heard thus far, well done. Hopefully you'll consider doing a full version of this song and a cover of Styx Helix (Re:Zero ED) in the future as well.

Around arc was this? I have no recollection seeing this as I’ve marathoned One Piece through the years
Sort of near the end of impel down. I only know because of the woo-woo-yeah part, it's just so silly the vice warden do the motion in the actual intro.
Also, it offends me for having the worst sin one piece could have made, luffy in a tie.
