Imagine if they did the whole Group B line up….Lancia, Metro, Ford, Pug and the rest…that would be an epic line up 😍…especially with your very own ‘Tomley special stage’ right there 😂
I thought the revving engine noises in the background enhanced this video. When it timed up with your driving it was rowdy! Love the new tires and wheels on that, definitely gunna be considering that thing for a bit!! Great vid!!
tomley: "it's only 3 deg c" Me: psshaw, I took my garbage out the other morning and it was -31C lol and in case you were wondering, yes, I put on my quilted flannel shirt. Otherwise I'd have done it in a hoodie. lol
Dude! Minus 31!!! It,s almost +40 deg C for me atm. Maybe we can meet half way & everyone would be more comfortable 🥶🥵🤔😆 At least a new vid from @TomleyRC is a good distraction 👍
Hi, Phil. At the end of rhe video, the car was sitting there looking all desirable and you said thoughtfully "imagine owning a real one". This got me rhinking - for me, at least, oening an RC model of a car often sort of "cures" me of wanting to own the real thing. It makes me think that perhaps, all along, I was in love with the shape, rather than with the whole car.
Yeah, you have a point. And with a smaller one, you can have it on the house to look at all the time. Well… unless you are very wealthy & single, then you can have real ones in your house to look at 😇
@TomleyRC My mate bought his big brother's house recently and he and I converted the ground floor into a garage. We left the tiled floor showing where the different rooms had been, and my friend admits to taking s gleeful pleasure in parking his there litre Capri with one tyre in his bro's bedroom, one in the hall and the back half in his living room. We even left the fireplace in the corner : )
That was really cool. Owning a real one? I dunno. If I'm not mistaken that era of Rally cars were brutally powerful and if turbo, well they had a habit of making the power arrive all at once.
Love this car! I had to order it from the Manufacturer from here in the states. Shipping was pricey but worth it. I am hoping to find spare body in the US.
@TomleyRC I think it was like $60 dollars to the US. $120 if i ordered spare body ( Different box). I am hoping to find one here. Have not looked recently but most of what i found was the 1/24 model.
Great looking car and you really know how to frow it around mate well done, It really can be frown into the bends on that gravel , Can you frow it around on tarmac mate or does it flip ?? I have free rally cars myself 😉
Very cool footage. I love the styling that Carisma brings to their models, but they make some head scratching decisions when it comes to engineering and performance. Haha
I've got the Subaru Impreza version & even with a 3S upgrade it's unfortunately been one of the most disappointing RCs I've ever owned.! It does look bloody good though.! 😉 😉
A real one? I had a 69 El Camino that I would drive it out to the track and run mid 12s. That's a mom's car with a turbo and some wheels. It might be fast but it will never be cool.😎
@@TomleyRC 🙂 Okay... I Googled the 69 El Camino for sale and then the 85 Quattro. And don't even try to tell me that 1960s muscle cars aren't legendary. The Quattro may be twice the price of the El Camino but they're still cheaper then the Chevelles. 🙂
I found some Kyosho 5-spokes suitable, for the rest, but the fronts were only 2" and quite narrow. I'm glad I've now seen Carisma have now produced the genuine rims! Regards to the car, when on tarmac I found the steering to be hopeless, the servo saver was far too slack. Tightened up now! Did you find the same problem?
I love my Tamiya XV-01 with an Escort Cosworth shell on it. It’s got all the Tamiya upgrades with my favorites being the long travel suspension and the double cardan front universals letting me have tons of steering angle. Looks scale but jumps like a buggy.
Hpi. Got carisma. Would call plastics to soft, and construction wise some odd choices like diff or motor mount, philips screws also bit out dated i would say. I'm personally scared to give my hw combo its full potential. That is probably best way to subscribe it. Think it will destroy the car. Parts are affordable and carisma looks better than hpi...
Absolutely like group B rallye full stop I'm glad they brought the rally spec wheels out got to purchase some for my Audi quattro sport s1 great review & did you know that Xray do a great Chassie to build you own rally car the Chassie is based on a monster truck but when converted is just a brilliant rally car point it in direction you want to go just amazing handle just saying incase you were interested more Rallye video's cheers TNR.RC
Total newb to modern rc I have a modern Tamiya frog that my family bought for Xmas as I had one 40 years ago, can I just Chuck a lipo battery in it or do I need to change esc?
This car is absolutely beautiful but is built with such weak parts…or maybe I just drive too hard. I’ve broken so many things on this car that every video I’ve made with it results with something broken. Same thing goes with my Carisma Subbie. Beautiful but slow and brittle!
All the scooters and bikes with the L tags are maniacs even had a lunatic on a E scooter pass us he had to have been going 50mph no helmet I think he was late for tea

Well Mr.T, your fun factor & editing has smashed it outta the skate park again - Excellent content my friend 🫡
1:57 - the timing of that car noise in the background was perfect.
Heard it!
Hahaha! Totally! 😅
Yes lol… think it was a bike
I love rally RC cars! They look so badass!
5 spokes is always the answer 😍
Yes 👌

Haha yeah… everyone was out enjoying the winter Sun! First time this year I think 😅
Nice camera work, I love video shots of rc cars in action and slow motion, well done looks very realistic.
Cheers dude. Appreciate it
Yeah when it comes to being a one handed Rally Driver/ Director of Photography, Phil is the man.
Nice action shots, music goes well with it.
Cheers dude
Wheels make all the difference ❤
100% 👌
Yep all the girls like Shiney wheels.... . But 😅
great video mate, wish i had a spot like that to run my Kyosho KB10 tacoma on, i could have lots of fun with that
Hard to find now in big built up areas… hopefully they won’t build on it for a while
The older Rally Cars just have more character. Awesome.
I agree
It would be cool to see it take some small scale jumps. Nothing too crazy... Maybe just some slight risers🤔🤩
Yeah it would. This was just a quick video today. It was actually gonna be for the second channel… but changed my mind
Your action shots are always good and the music to go with it also, must be a pain coming up with music to go with each car, nice work bro.
I love this man from a Christmas story!!!!
Oh fudge
Great work my friend
Awesome looking car indeed, Phil! Great wheel choice! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cheers mate
Let's go! Tomley on a Saturday morning
Good morning!

Job well done. I'd say a wrong was made right.
I agree!
Considering there was only 20 S1s built, I think.
It's a damn nice dream.
Yeah.. haha
Love me a rally car as well bud . I'm picking up the Fazer with rally mods and the fair lady 240z body.
Nice!
That thing looks so cool, and close to the original. Another nice Vid.
Yeah, the wheels make it look so much better
Here for the action shots
Yeah boi…

That was a quick video and it was a nice surprise to see a new video.
Yeah.. recorded, edited, uploaded and published today 👌
That was really cool. Owning a real one? I dunno. If I'm not mistaken that era of Rally cars were brutally powerful and if turbo, well they had a habit of making the power arrive all at once.
Yeah… but this is 4wd… that lag was part of the fun 😎
@ Good points.
I need about 30 more videos of this car. Love it
I remember you telling us about that sponge under the rear body mount the 1st time and I thought that's gonna come off but you kept it on,bravo 🤯😁👍♥️
Love this car! I had to order it from the Manufacturer from here in the states. Shipping was pricey but worth it. I am hoping to find spare body in the US.

I'd love to find a 6R4 bodyshell. I remember seeing them in the 1980's and really wanting one then.
beautiful little rc there
That car looks sooo good! 😍 👌
Yes 👌
ANOTHER BELTER!!👍👍🇬🇧💥💯
😇👌
Nothing better than being able to drive a rally car in the dirt! Seems like 90% of them are trapped on the asphalt.
Yes agree… so many come with tarmac spec tyres
@@TomleyRCyup. Hpi needs to step up there game for the wr8
Had a ton of issues with the radio that came with it. Need to swap it out.
Yeah, radio is crap
Looks bang on!
Are you going to be looking at the fms ridge racer?
Probably not. Looks cool though
Good spot for a video with all your rally cars 🎉😁
Looks great .
Dayum 3 minutes 🎉
Hell yeah brother!!!! 💯❤🔥 love group B💯❤🔥
Me too!
The way the front end comes up when accelerating reminds me of my AUDI in the WRC game on PS5. I dig it!

its awesome wish i had one
Nice if they did a Monte Carlo yaris 2025 the black looks good or Ole solberg version
Oh.. yes please!
Needs some HB International Stickers :)
Can always tell when it's an MT07 in the background, such a distinct sound.
I was only playing with mine today. I put a 3s in it. Also put some new gravel wheels too but the original multi spoke.
I'm happy you brought this car out again! It is so cool!
I just got this a few weeks ago ! The updated one with these wheels. LOVE IT !
I've got the Subaru Impreza version & even with a 3S upgrade it's unfortunately been one of the most disappointing RCs I've ever owned.!
It does look bloody good though.! 😉 😉
Yeah, they are missing something… I think they need adjustable turnbuckles, a wider track and a bit more speed. Although this is the best one
@TomleyRC agreed, that's definitely the better one.! 😉 👍
Import tax on the car Phil can you just get those wheels here and the car from modelsport or wheelspin?Cool vid👍
Hopefully the shops will start stocking the updated one soon. And/or the wheels/tyres as an option
Looks so much more authentic now Phil!
Nice video is there going to be a review on the new fms 1/24 stadium truck
You got me excited there , that's a short course truck , not a stadium truck.
@rab.. woopsies I’m still a bit new to the hobby
Don’t think so
Would you do a review on the Axial scx24 Basecamp, and then a build with the injora Nissan hard body
Probably not. The small stuff is all a bit ‘samey’
Where the hell do you find these places to drive these lol
lol… 5 mins from my workshop this one 😎
👊🏻

‘69 El Camino or an ‘85 Quattro S1….
…one’s cool, one’s a legend. I think most car guys would pic the legend 😇

Wish I could get tires and wheels like that for my Rlaarlo rally car! Nice like at an older car!
Gota change the throtle curve to simulate the turbo lagg ;) 5% till the last 5% throtle then 100% ;)
Is there a reason why you limited rear suspension travel so much?
Not sure if i should get one of these, or the Wr8 flux.
Ed:- gunna have to go back exploring through the archives.

Please do a review on the mn99s v2 😂
lol
I mean you promised in 2024 😂😂😂
@ ask my wife about promises lol

Dope car. Dope action shots. Dope video. 🔥🔥
I actually prefer the Evo you reviewed but for me nothing tops the XTS carbon for a rally car
What blower do you use to dry your RCs?
12 seconds
Nice Nice
Yep, just like full scale- tires, tires, tires
The action shots that start at about three minutes - maybe a little later, are those drone shots?
3c is not cold! It’s been -5F in Ohio for about a week!
Me sees audi Quattro instantly knows its gotta be good
Imagine becoming a millionaire and being able to build a scale Pikes Peak track?????!!!!!!?
1/10 scale:
• Height: 750 feet.
• Base Width: 10,560 feet (2 miles).
• Volume of dirt required: ~243 million cubic yards
No problem 😂

How much bigger or smaller are these compared to wr8 tires?
Loud bikes are a bloody blight in England. Put your DAMNED BAFFLE on!
Hmmm owning a real one huh?
Is that a teaser hunt?
Are you pulling a Kevin and jumping from scale to real rally?
I’m not sure I’ll ever own one. I can dream though haha
@TomleyRC very true my friend, one never knows though lol
I have a 1/8 scale
It's a hobbytech rock racer db8sl
What's with the old Carolina skwat ???😂 ..
Charisma makes some belted drag slicks and id recommend them to anyone
Would you agree the body sits bit lower at the back .
