      We were looking to buy a vehicle . Looking foe a sienna which proved impossible to get . We stopped by a couple Toyota dealerships and if you put in a request for one the are adding a $5000 up charge . Told them to take a hike and do not ever call me . Ford was the worst of them all so I will never step foot on a ford dealership again.. We found a couple Toyota dealerships not adding anything extra to the price so i gave them my number to call me . They will get my business . Now we did not end up being able to get a sienna . Ended up with a different brand vehicle . Who told us they do not mark up the vehicle price . Well i found an added line that adds $3000 and they could not explain well what the $3000 was for . Gave me the run around about it . I told them from the beginning not to play games with me and they tried anyway . I turned to walk out and suddenly the $3000 extra in the price disappeared . My in-laws went to buy a vehicle a few months back . The always take me as i know every con a dealership will try and pull . Sure enough right away , they tried telling them there payment would be a certain amount a month . I did the math on my calculator (should have seen the salesman face when i did that) it came to 12% interest rate . I asked him what interest rate they came up with . He refused to tell me . Literally refused . …. So this con man said, let me see again what i can do . He came back with a much different number . Came to around 4% which at the time was still to high ,not much, but still to high. My Inlaw has immaculate credit . Just under 800 . I told him he could get lost and we walked out . I told them they need to get there own financing and they did at a lower rate even more then the dealership claimed . They bought there vehicle somewhere else . I Absolutely hate the dealership experience . Dealership favorite question . What payment are you comfortable with ? 1-do your homework before going to a dealership 2-get financing outside of the dealership (credit union a good choice) know all the numbers before you go 3-do not buy any extras. You a get extra coverage such as gap insurance with your banking institution . Lower rate and no interest . I had one dealership try lying saying you could only get it through them . I literally called 3 banks on speakerphone all saying they had it available . I walked out . Dealerships need to get rid of salesman . Purchasing a vehicle should work as it does with Tesla .(the best buying experience ). No bogus dealership fees . No hidden lines of extras . Now,I’m not interested in buying a tesla but they have the best purchasing method by far .

    • @blackgold754
      @blackgold754 10 месяцев назад +35

      The solution is that everybody has their preference and choose whatever they like. People will go for Prius because it’s smaller than Camry and people love hatch. People go for Corolla cuz they don’t care about car design and afford within their pay range, People go for Camry because they want comfort, good turn radius, and somewhat feel luxurious while cruising on Camry. Best part, they’re all hybrids!!!. I just dislike comments like these which states out problems with specifics that does not have problems to begin with. Toyota does need to change design for Corolla though cuz Corolla is an ugly version of combo of Prius and Camry.
      I also like the idea of Prius prime limited trim having a gauge cluster cuz tall mfs like me can genuinely find them useful. So cars don’t have to lose a feature just for the sake of uniqueness. A car is a luxury that an individual invest in. The more the car can give a potential, better it is.

    The XLE model has the ridiculous, large 19 inch wheels and tires. The LE model is the only one I would consider......even it's 17 inchers are too big for my taste. Anyway, as a hypermiler, I can get 80 MPG out of this car, and I care nothing about acceleration or fancy convenience features.

      Actually the Prius is more fun to drive, especially on curvy roads. Straight line yeah a tesla is fast. But it’s heavy, feels more like a boat in a turn. I own a 2023 Prius. I was using a model 3 as a rental while my Prius was at the body shop for 3 weeks.
      The Tesla is a good vehicle, but once you get passed the one truck pony of EV acceleration it’s not the best for more spirited driving beyond a straight line.

    HERE IS YOUR TOYOTA RELIABILITY👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
    Class Action Lawsuit Against Toyota
    Lawsuits by Toyota owners allege that the Japanese automaker engaged in fraud, negligently manufactured cars, and defectively designed the Electronic Throttle Control System ('ETCS-i' or 'ETCS') of some models. Problems with the ETCS have been blamed for the incidents of unintended acceleration claimed by several Toyota drivers, who reached a class-action settlement with the carmaker. According to the Toyota Economic Loss Settlement Website, the deadline for filing a claim for this particular issue was July 29, 2013.
    Here are a few of the lawsuits:
    Saylor v. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (complaint) -- Products liability and negligence lawsuit in a California state court against Toyota and Lexus car dealer over the deaths of 4 family members in a Lexus ES350 loaner vehicle that apparently accelerated to 120 mph before killing the car's 4 occupants.
    Miller v. Toyota Motors Sales, USA, Inc., et al. (complaint) - Breach of warranty, negligence, and product liability lawsuit.
    Heilbrunn, et al. v. Toyota Motor Corp. (class-action complaint) - Federal class-action lawsuit accused Toyota of breach of express and implied warranties, fraud, unjust enrichment, and breach of good faith and fair dealing.
