San Francisco Bay, 1986, cruising the El Camino on a warm Summer night headed to City Nights or The Palladium (SF Clubs). Ahhhhh....the memories!

I’m 46. I work from home as a nurse and I just went into the kitchen to make my lunch and I started singing this song out load out of no where ❤️❤️❤️❤️ one of my faves.
I may not be able to go back to my era but i'm glad the newer generation can appreciate this because it's a testament that this music will always be great. It doesn't disrespect women and the songs had clarity, allowing people to understand that it was all about love. You could come from any walk of life and fit in. Freestyle is and will always be alive. Funhouse,10-18, Broadway96 ,Emerald City, Studio54, Devils Nest, Bonds, Gothams, Roseland, Underground, Union SQ, Heart throbs,Tunnel, Garage, Boiler room. These places and several others were legendary.
I was there too and remember it like it was yesterday. It's kind of sad when I see all these young people going out to just get drunk today. I used to get dressed and go with my friends out to dance all night long. Those were truly fun times.

This song is part of my life’s soundtrack I was born in 1970 I was only 10 in 1980 I am 100% 80’s kid the best decade in American history the most prosperous and the best music. I grew up in Miami all my high school years were immortalized in this particular music! I told my wife that we I die and go home to Jesus don’t do a funeral but instead have a freestyle party in my honor!

Ok, I thought I was the only one that remembered that. I don't remember back in those days it being called "Freestyle" I remember just calling it Dance Music or Top 40 Music. I was a Dj back then and most people would come up to the booth and ask for top 40 music and as a DJ You would already now what they wanted.
