August and Damian did a beautiful job on my Crepe Myrtle! The oak tree in the backyard only needed some dead branches and stragglers out. They did a fantastic job caring for my flowers and do dads!👏👏😊

Debra you were lucky to have one of the very best in the country working on your trees. As a retired climber I have nothing to say but good things about August. 👍

Substantial difference! You can tell that Damian is definitely back 😅 The tree trimming is a very noticeable difference . Many lessons from you, August. Thank you for sharing 👌

Love your poor man grapple We used that quite a bit when I worked at Knott's Berry Farm. We had lots of annual flower beds and orders to raise trees in them, as you show in your video you can get a lot done quickly with no damage. Nice work!

I have been using and teaching that Bowline method for more than 50 years, and even going further to making the bowline one handed.

Speedy and fluid little bowline technique you got there, I showed some folks your running bowline flip method you showed in an old video, I use it all the time now. Priceless thank you

I've used that grapple method quite a bit over flower beds and if stuff is just out of reach over a roof. It is a chore, but one guy can do it if you use a polesaw in conjunction.

Bump caps have been around for at least twenty years. I've always wanted to try one. It's essentially a baseball cap on top of hard hat suspension.

I want one of those patented baseball cap "hard hats"!!!

    I love your humor.
    Be safe out there.

Probably my favorite thing on this channel is watching you tie knots. It's amazingly fluid.
I can't recall which video it was, but you were tying a series of them without even thinking. (wasn't the focus of the content) I swear you just WILLED the rope with your mind.

    Really good thinking 👍😉

Pretty slick with that running bowline at the end👍 I always do the slip knot flipped over into a bowline. Cool video brother with that nice stick boom 😁

Ok that was a cool trick August. I never thought to try that one. Even in retirement I am still learning the trade.

Great technique on the bowline, I will learn that. also wanted to thank you for showing us the amazing carrick bend previously. Finally got a chance/remembered to implement it. Worked a charm

That is a very nice Crepe Myrtle! It has been well taken care of, it is interesting how easily the branches can meld on those. Good to see Damien back. Btw I love the bowline technique, I'll have to review that, it is very fast. My feeble brain takes things in stages, the first thing I see is an overhand knot, I'll have to process what happens after that when I get a little time to review things, Thanks for posting!

Hey August! Very nice pruning work on the Crepe. The grapple saw technique was great, there sure was a lot of delicate stuff under that area!

The process of crepe myrtle leading to shared vascularity in the cambium layer is called "inosculation" which is a natural process common in thin barked trees similar to grafting. Grafting refers to the man made process of joing two trees. (But you probably knew that.)
