Also subscribing to follow 🙏. I just picked up a TOPDON scan tool & a Victron smart solar mppt 450/200. My idea is to go straight HVDC(400+) to LVDC(48v). This way it's a simple charging appreciative for my already certified home backup system ☺️
So, are you completely off grid because that battery is not UL Listed for the purpose of Home Solar installation. The Authoritiy Having Jurisdiction clearly won't approve that thing.
That's the killer isn't it? Batteries rated to sit in your garage and power your house are priced in the stratosphere but batteries out of a vehicle that is allowed to park in your garage are FAR cheaper but not allowed. There really needs to be some way to recycle EV batteries for home use.
@@DIYSolarFarming I’ve pondered a concrete pad and some sort of shed away from the house. Still not likely to be approved but about as safe as possible - from the battery anyway. It’s just frustrating.
